"Hello?" Tia asked breathlessly as she answered her phone having been running seconds earlier.
"We've got a case. Be at the palace as soon as possible" Steve says through the phone.
"Okay" Tia said, before the line went dead. She put her phone back in the band around her arm before turning around, only to pump into something – rather someone.
"Oh- god. Sorry" Tia said, suddenly feeling flustered as she looked up. She had pumped into a boy who look a year or 2 older than she was.
"It's okay" He said, flashing her a smile.
"Ermm, I have to go. Sorry again!" Tia said, as she started to 5-minute run to the palace. Once she arrived she went upstairs and met the others who had already seen the body. They were now waiting to discuss everything they had.
"Hey" Tia said, walking through the glass doors. Danny looked her up and down and laughed when he saw her in her running gear.
"Come on, we're going to his place of work...you'll need to change" Danny said, facing Tia. She nodded her head and ran into her office where she always kept a spare pair of clothes. She went and changed in the bathroom before heading to Twizzle which is the restaurant that their victim – Kevin Terrance – worked.

When Danny and Tia arrived, they headed inside.
"Hi, we'd like to speak with the manager please" Tia said, flashing the waiter in front of her, her badge.
"Of course, follow me" The woman said, leading the two detectives to an office out back.
"What can I do for you officers?" The manager, Frankie Douglass asked.
"We need to speak about Kevin Terrance." Danny said.
"Oh- right. Is he okay?"
"Sir, I'm afraid that Kevin was found dead this morning. We can't give out the detail but we need you to answer some questions." Danny said, as Tia's phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and found it to be Tom Kent – one of Tia's FBI training officers.
"Sorry, excuse me" Tia says, walking outside.
"Hey Tom, what's up?" Tia asks, answering the phone.
"Hi Tia, I'll spare you the details over the phone but we need you down at HQ." Tom says.
"Ermm, okay. I can be there in like 20 minutes?" Tia says, knowing she'll need to wait for Dany to get a lift. After ending the call, Tia waits for Danny and explains to him about the phone call. He then drops her off at the FBI headquarters.
"Hey, Lilly" Tia says, signing in at reception before going through security. She makes her way to the main area outside Tom's office when she sees a familiar face.
"It's you" He says with a smirk, as Tia moves towards the boy she had run into this morning.
"I could say the same" Tia laughs, as Tom and Leanne walk out of their office.
"I see you two have already met" Leanne says.
"Kind of..." Tia says making the still unidentified boy laugh.
"Well I kind of ran into him – literally – a few hours ago, although I still don't actually know your name" Tia says, turning to face him.
"Jake Deacon" He responds.
"Tis Ashmore" Tia says, as she shakes his hand.
"Right, there is actually a reason we called you both in" Tom says, ushering the pair into the office.
"We have a case we need you to go undercover for..." Leanne says, handing both the teens an information pack.
"It starts in 3 weeks and will be for around a week if not longer. Until then you'll need to train as much as possible and get to know each other." Tom says, making the teens nod.
"So, the case. We've been looking for these two men – Danni Brenna and Martin Ashford for nearly a year now. Now that we have this chance, we can't afford to let it go. But, like any undercover op due to your age, you have a choice" Leanne says, looking at Tia and Jake.
"I'm in" Jake says, smiling as he looks at Tia.
"I'm in" Tia says, making her superiors and training officers smile.
"Right, you'll have to come in once a week maybe twice to train with myself, Tom or someone else so that we can make sure ourselves you are ready, but well let you know when. Until then, you're free to go" Leanne says. The teens smile and leave together.
"Here, give me your phone" Jake said, holding out his phone. Tia handed him her phone and he typed his number in it.
"I'll text you later so you can get my number" Tia said, seeing Adam pull up outside as she had called and asked if he could pick her up.
"Okay – I'll see you around" He said, giving her his famous smile. Tia smiled before running off to Adam's car. She hopped in and they started to short drive back to the palace.
"So, who was that?" Adam asked, smiling like an idiot at Tia.
"Technically, my new partner. We've been assigned to work a UC case in a few weeks, until then, we have to train and get to know each other" Tia said, looking out that window.
"That's cool." He said.
"Yeah...not sure Uncle Steve will feel the same way" Tia laughed, as they pulled up outside the palace.
"Thanks, I owe you one" She said, hopping out of his car and running into the building.
"Hey, look who's back. How'd it go?" Danny asked, knowing where she was.
"Good, where's Steve?" Tia said, noticing that he wasn't with the others or in his office.
"He went home to change because his shirt got ripped whilst he was chasing the perp. He left his back-up bag at home" Danny said.
"Why?" He asked seeing that Tia was obviously nervous about something.
"Promise you won't say anything to Uncle Steve?" Tia said, looking at the others as well. They all nod so Tia continues.
"Well as you know I had to go talk to my TO's at the FBI office. Well, I met another junior agent today – his name is Jake – and in a few weeks they're sending us on an UC case." Tia said, making Danny kiss his teeth.
"And you're scared of Steve's reaction?" Chin said, making the teen nod.
"Well, you're fully trained and he knows that, and he also knows that they'll be people watching you 24/7 so I think he'll handle it well. I mean, he won't really want it but he won't try to stop you...he's become a lot more settled with your new job and all because he's seen that you can handle yourself and you make a great agent Tia" Kono said, making the teen smile. Seconds later, Steve returns. Danny gives Tia a reassuring smile before she asks to speak to him in his office. Steve agrees, and the pair go into the privacy of his office. The others return to doing paperwork as they finished the case they had as it turned out it was a really simple case to solve.

Within 30 minutes, Steve and Tia finish talking and to her surprise, Steve remained perfectly calm and actually wanted Tia to go undercover as it's something she should learn to handle and work on, early-on in her career.
"Hey, how about we have a BBQ tonight...invite everyone round for some fun?" Steve asks, as he drives himself and Tia home after a long day.
"Yeah, sure. Actually...can I invite Jake? It would be good for him to meet everyone and for us to get to know each other before we go UC" Tia says, as they arrive home.
"Okay...you call or text everyone and I'll go buy some food and drinks" Steve said, letting Tia get out of the truck.
"Alrighty, I'll see you in a bit" She said, grabbing her bag from the back seat before walking inside. Once she's inside, Tia texts everyone about the BBQ before going to get changed into her bikini and summery dress. Once she's changed she tidy's up downstairs a bit before grabbing some towels and their fold up chairs and takes them out to the garden. She sets them all up and head back inside as the front door rings.
"Aloha" She says, opening the door to reveal Danny with Grace by his side.
"Tia!" She says excitedly.
"Hey, you...oh, I love your swimsuit misses. It's very pretty" Tia says, looking at Grace's red and black spotty swimsuit.
"Steve went to get some things, he should be back soon. Chairs are in the garden" Tia says, looking up at Danny. He nods and places the beers that he was holding in the fridge before following Tia and Grace into the garden. Tia had placed a sign on the front door, telling anyone who came to go around to the back garden.

A few hours later, everyone was enjoying themselves and having fun. Steve had cooked a mountain of burgers and sausages, and everyone pigged out. There was laughing. There was jokes and there was plenty of time being spent in the water. Jake had shown up soon after Grace and Danny and it turns out that he not only got on with Tia, but he got on with everyone else. Grace especially liked him because he was always willing to play. The group spent the rest of the evening enjoying each other's company. Everyone stayed until the sun started to set. After clearing up with Steve, Tia went to have a shower before going to bed. She had a feeling that she was really going to enjoy her time she spent with Jake.
