_____'s side
You logged out of your account and sat up from your desk, bringing your simple (F/c) laptop with you. You went over to your empty suitcase surrounded by neatly folded clothes; and messy belongings like gadgets that you were gonna be forcing to fit into your suitcase soon. 'Nino...despite being such a huge nerd...I actually really feel excited about finally meeting him for real.' You thought to yourself. 'It's gonna be my first time meeting an abroad internet friend in real life too...' The university that you were gonna be studying at for five months was pretty near where Nino's highschool was; how did you know that? Well, do you know that feeling when you get excited for a trip to a place and you start searching up for information about it? Yeah, that feeling. Ever since you got chosen to be a part of the trip. You've been researching about the university you were gonna be studying at for a while and as well as where it was located; Plus, Nino told you about his University before. It was a pretty nice university. Everything there was clean, and people say that it had good education. So you got all hyped up.
"Sigh...well, time to finish packing." You said. At around 2:00 AM you finished packing your things, and accidentally fell asleep on top of your suitcase.

"Hngg..." You groaned, and groggily sat up straight. "Hnn...Who could that be?" You grumbled as you stood up from the floor and walked over to your apartment's door and opened it. You were met with stoic blue eyes and a bush of black locks in front of you. This was your best friend, Adam. You met him in third grade at your old school, and eventually he became one of your closest friends. "What are you...doing here?" You asked in between yawns. "What happened to you? Your hair looks like a bird's nest, and you have drool marks on your cheek..." he said bluntly. You opened the door wider so he could come in. You went to get your hairbrush from your room and brushed your hair. "You didn't answer my question rockface..." You retorted.
"Sigh...Don't you remember? You asked me to come pick you up. You know? So we could get to the airport early?" He said, giving extra stress on the word 'early'.
"Oh...stay here then. I'll go take a bath. Chat with your girlfriend or something..." You said. You were about to leave the room when you saw Adam shift uncomfortably in his seat at your statement. "Something wrong?" You asked. "No...it's nothing." He said, pushing up his glasses and putting on a straight face again. You left the room and took a bath.

Soon, you locked the door to your flat and gave the keys to the building's landlord. It pained you to leave your comfortable abode, since you loved its modern interior and wide space along with the ceiling-to-floor windows. But, unfortunately for you...You were a great student at school. Just kidding...

Adam carried your suitcase and you carried your small backpack with all your belongings that needed quick access [eg. Your phone, laptop, wallet, earphones, ticket etcetera.]
You went out the elevator, into the lobby, then outside of the building. "Wait here..." Adam said. Then he put down your suitcase and took out his keys. He left you and walked towards the parking lot of the building to get his car. You took this chance to go on your phone and check your messages.

One was from Nino saying:
[Nino]: Heyyy...so you're leaving today?
5:00 AM

'Man...he sure wakes up early.' You thought to yourself. You replied to his text with a simple 'yeah' and then moved on to the other text message.

The other message was from Alex saying:
[Alex]: What's up? Nino told me you were gonna be visiting France. Are you really?
11:00 AM

He ended the message with a smiley face emoji. To be honest, you weren't really fond of emojis; you think they're way too overused and annoying. You never use them in chats, hence you probably seemed like an expressionless person. You replied to him with 'Nino never shuts up does he? To answer your question, yes I'll be visiting France.'

Then you turned off your phone and looked at the White car infront of you, slowly sliding it's window down. "Get in, I'll take your bags..." Adam said, and you did as told. It creeped you out how much of a gentleman Adam was being today. Maybe he was gonna ask for something from you later as payment for him being a gentleman?...definitely. He went in the car after putting your suitcase at the back along with his own. "Why are you being such a gentleman today?" You asked Adam. "What? Am I not allowed to be?" He replied. He turned on the car and started driving, with you sitting beside the driver's seat looking out the window. "No, you're allowed to be. It's just odd..." You said.
Several minutes have passed and the two of you remained silent in the car, so you decided to bring out a book about French phrases and started reading it.
"Hey, you know how to speak French right? Give me a demo!" You joked.
"No." Adam replied, focused on the road. "Well, you're no fun are you?" You grumbled and continued studying the contents of the book. A 'bing' came from your bag and you took your phone out to see a chat request from Alex.

You turned off your phone and put it back inside your bag. Yet again, you were hit by the awkward silence inside the car. You opened your mouth about to say something, but you decided not to do anything instead. The silence was pretty comfortable, and so was the car's air conditioning. "Hey, Adam. I'm gonna go take a nap...wake me up when we pass by a 7/11 or something. I'm gonna buy snacks for the trip..." You spoke. "What? Are you kidding me? Didn't you already get enough sleep?" He questioned. "Hush, just let me nap buddy..." You whispered and leaned your head towards the window.

I kept my eyes on the road as I drove towards our destination, as well as looking out for a 7/11 store. The only sound of rain dropping onto the hood resonated within the car. 'Oh! There's one...' I thought to myself. I slowed down the car and parked in front of the brightly lit store, the sun was starting to set. (A/n: I don't know about you guys, but here where I live, the sun starts to set as early as 5:00 PM...). "Hey I found a-..." I stopped mid-sentence to look at _____, peacefully sleeping with her head rested on the window. 'Maybe I shouldn't wake her up... Besides, I know her well enough to know that all she's going to buy is a ton of cheetos...' I thought. I grabbed a small blanket from the back seat that I keep for whenever my girlfriend would sleep inside the car, and draped it over _____'s sleeping form. Then I went out of the car to buy snacks from the store, "She'll just have to pay me later..." I mumbled.

"Hey...wake up." Adam said, shaking you gently. "Huh? Wha...?" You yawned. "We're here, Idiot." He said. The two of you walked out of the car, got your luggage and walked towards the entrance of the airport's building. You took your phone out to look at where your fellow schoolmates should be waiting, but stopped when you felt Adam nudge your arm while holding something. "Here, I didn't wanna wake you up... I got you cheetos and some gum...and water." Adam said, giving you a 7/11 plastic bag. "Woah, Thanks!" You smiled at Adam. "OMG! _____! Adam! I've been WAITING! God...do you know how boring and stupid it is to listen to Daniel rant about how he should have brought his golden watch set to this trip instead of the silver one!?" A voice exclaimed from behind you, as you felt the person link their arm with yours. It was your friend Joshua, or Joshie as he would prefer to be called. You laughed at his complaints and unhooked your arm from his. "Then you better hope you don't get to sit next to him for the whole flight..." You snickered. "Sorry, Joshie. We were supposed to arrive early but someone woke up late..." Adam glared at you, and you flinched laughing nervously. "Well, why don't we chat a bit? I mean there isn't anything else to do... And our flight is arriving at 7:30 PM..." You suggested. The three of you sat down near your fellow schoolmates and chatted away until the airplane finally arrived...
