"Hey, Simon!" I called, seeing him appear in the front doors. He smiled at me nervously, like he was distracted by something. I was already in my jumpsuit. In fact, we all were. Simon was suspiciously late.
"You've never been late before," I commented, following him as he made his way through the hallway.
"Yes, there was something I had to do."
What was going on with him? He seemed down right strange this morning. Well, more so than usual anyway. He rushed up the stairs to the roof and I followed worriedly. I'd never seen Simon this upset.
He burst out onto the roof, computer bag in hand and jaw clenched tightly. Me right on his heels.
"We've got a problem," he said to Nathan and Curtis, who were both out here.
Curtis was laying down and trying to sleep or something and Nathan looked... constipated? A singular bead of sweat rolled down the bridge of his nose, the rest of his face as red as a tomato. Was he okay? He kept making small little whiny noises and my face screwed up in confusion. He was focusing his gaze on a beer bottle in front of him and his hands were pressed to his temples.
"Will you shut up?!" Nathan hissed, throwing his hand out toward Simon. "I almost had it!"
"Uh, what is he doing?" I asked no one in particular.
Curtis sat up, looked at the man-child in question and then sighed.
"He's trying to destroy the bottle with his mind," he paused, leaning forward to have a better look at him. "I think he's going to shit himself."
"Oh, this is bullshit!" Nathan yelled, jumping up and kicking the bottle. It flew past my leg and smashed on the ground somewhere behind me. He put his hands on his hips, trying to catch his breath.
"We've got a problem," Simon says, trying to get whatever had to say off his chest.
"I have a power, I know it. I can feel it in my balls!" He exclaimed, clutching his lower regions. I grimaced, looking away for a second. "Oh, don't look away, I know you want this," he gestured to his body and waggled his eyebrows.
"Listen to me!" Simon yelled, clenching his computer bag tighter.
"It's like a soft vibratin'," he ignored Simon completely. "You get that, right?" He asked Curtis. I shook my head, not believing the fact that he was blatantly ignoring the quiet kid in front of him.
"No," Curtis answers simply, obviously disgusted.
"They're going to dig up the bodies!" Simon hissed, walking forward in order to (hopefully) get somebodies attention. My eyes widened. What?!
"They're building an environmental monitoring station under the flyover," he added, explaining. I felt my heartbeat quicken. "When they dig the foundations, they will find the bodies."
Simon definitely had everyone's attention now, thats for sure.
"What is that? It sounds made up," Nathan said, completely disregarding everything important that Simon had just said. "Are we supposed to know what that is?"
"It's to measure the carbon monoxide from the flyover," Simon explained quickly.

"What are we going to do?" I hissed quietly, looking at the group. We were still boxing the donated clothes as we hadn't finished it yesterday.
"We have to move them," Curtis whispered back. Ben, the guy who was in charge of our little project, was at the vending machines on the other side of the room but thankfully he wasn't watching us too closely.
"Okay," Nathan replied, folding up a pair of panties frantically. "A couple questions."
"How, where, are you out of your mind?" It was had enough to take him seriously at best but the fact that he was wearing a black bra over his jumpsuit made it even harder. I stifled a giggle, not being able to control it despite our current dire situation.
"If we leave them, they'll find them," Curtis hissed, looking quickly at Ben before back at us.
"Oh, and digging them up and wandering around with them is a real low-risk strategy," Nathan shot back. I hated to admit it, but he had a point. On one hand, we couldn't exactly leave them there, but on the other, we couldn't carry around a couple of rotting corpses until we found somewhere else for them to go.
"Oh, and you have a better idea?" Curtis asked. "Let's hear it then."
"As a matter of fact, I do have a better idea. Why don't you," he whistles, tumbling his fingers over one another. "And stop us from killin' him in the first place?" He raised his eyebrows into his hair questioningly.
"Show me how it works and I'll do it," he glares.
"We need a car," Simon says, trying to stop the two from fighting.
"Well, have you got a car?"
"No," he says, sounding guilty.
"Great! Maybe we should order a cab," he stresses. "Better make it a seven-seater!"
Suddenly the doors opened and we all whipped around to see who it was, unconsciously worried it might be the police here to take us away. Never fear, however, it was only Kelly. She was wearing a pink cap and her hair was down, which was nice but unexpected.
"Where've you been?!" Alisha asked.
"I had to go to the doctors," she replied defensively, pulling the top of her cap down.
"Well, while you were gettin' your smear test, big shock! We discovered the bodies are being dug up," Nathan said, quickly glancing for Ben. Thankfully, he was gone and hadn't heard his outburst.
"They're building an environmental monitoring system under the flyover," Simon added, explaining further.
"Sounds made up, right?"
"Can you steal a car?" Alisha asked no one in particular. I shook my head.
"Can you get a car," Curtis asked Kelly, raising his brow.
"Can you all fuck off?" She replied, stalking over to a table and pushing off all the shoes that were on it. She sat down and crossed her arms angrily.
Come on, we're a bunch of your offenders and not one of us knows how to steal a car?" Nathan stood, bra still on over his jumpsuit. I smiled at his accent. I was always a sucker for an Irish voice. "That is pathetic!"
"Look," Alisha said, standing up. "I'll borrow my dads car."
"Oh, yeah, because you're banned from driving so that makes perfect sense," Curtis hissed. Oh, wow, what happened to them? They were flirting like it was their last day on Earth this morning. What happened?
"Oh, you're like a whiny little bitch," Alisha hissed, hands on her hips.
"Guys, guys, guys," Nathan claps his hands. "We've got to work together."
He walked beside them and put his arms on their shoulders. Curtis rolled his eyes.
"Think of it like a team building exercise, huh?" He bounced on the balls of his feet. "I'm feeling this! Are we feelin' this?"
Both teens sighed and walked away, shoving his hands away as they went. I giggled at him, watching as he put his hands on his hips and frowned. He whipped his head to look at me.
"What are you laughin' at, huh?"
"Its just," I chuckled again. "I can't take anything you say seriously when you're wearing a bra."
He smirked and snapped the straps, giving me a wink as he stepped down off the box and walked away. I shook my head and continued to sort clothes with Simon.
