Stormy's heart thumped, he thought of the meeting that night. This meeting would decide the fate of his three kits, held captive in the Dogs' layer. His kits were the only thought on his mind as he padded into a small cave like den, stinking of dogs. "I'm here Regina, what is your bargain?"

"MY bargain?" She said a sly tone to her voice "My dear Stomy what is your bargain?" her bark was almost as smooths a a cats purr.

"REGINA! I do not have time to bargain of one with such difference. I came for my kits, what do you wish for return of my kits you stole?"

"Simple" she said her smooth bark washing over like water in a stream " I want your Shadow!"

Stormy gasped "No one has stolen a Shadow for years Regina!!"

"But I have the power to steal ones shadow dear Stormy. I can do the impossible, now It's either I steal your Shadow or your kits die!" She growled.

"You wouldn't dare Regina!"

"Really?"

Stormy watched in horror as Regina's top guard, Grim, brought his kits out. "My kits!!" Stormy almost took a step forward when Grim warned him off.

"Watch and learn." Grim's voice grumbled.

Stormy watched helplessly as he saw Grim slaughter his kit, Serenity, and his son, Thomson. Tears streaming down his face "You can take my Shadow, just please leave my kit alone.'

Regina smiled a wicked smile "I like it when you beg. Do it some more." she commanded.

Stormy sat down and begged "Please take my Shadow and let my son go" he sobbed

"Deal" Regina smiled. She waved her paw at Grim who was about to tear into the flesh of Stormy's last kit. "Let the kit go." she demanded. Regina's eyes glowed as she spoke "Now to deal with your Shadow."

Regina started mumbling incantations and spells. Stormy felt a tug on his fur an looked back to see his Shadow being ripped from its place on the pavement. He yowled in pain and hate. "I will get you back for this I swear!!!"

"Trust me darling you won't even think about it after this."

Regina stopped and dropped into a crouch she looked up her eyes blood red, and filled with hatred looked up to Stormy, "Leave Stormy, and don't return."

Stormy swooped down and picked up his son, and ran.

"Soon son we will be home and them you will be safe."
