I enjoyed listening to this song. It started with the quiet, slow strumming of the pipa, but was soon joined by other pipa in a jubilant festive mood. Later, however, the festive mood dies down to a calm, soothing aura. A soft voice then starts to sing, giving way to a feeling of mystery. The violins in the background were harmonious with the pipa. The drums added the stress needed to emphasize the lyrics. In addition to the music, the video also shows a woman who dressed in traditional Chinese clothing and dancing in a way that was common back then. The dancer's moves were graceful and helped to further emphasize the feeling of mystery and sadness. If you want to experience a different tradition/culture musically, this would be a great song to listen to!
