The Wattpad Curated by YOU Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") is sponsored by Wattpad Corp. (the "Sponsor"). Sweepstakes is offered worldwide (the "Sweepstakes Area"). Sweepstakes is void where prohibited. All applicable federal, state/provincial, and local laws apply.

Sponsor shall be entitled to interpret these official rules ("Official Rules") as needed, including without limitation, rules regarding eligibility, entries, deadlines, winners, prizes, and prize restrictions. By entering, entrants (collectively "Entrant" or "you") agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters. Entrants who have not complied with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification.

1. Sweepstakes Period: The Sweepstakes starts at 9:00:00 am EST on January 20, 2025 and ends at 11:59:59 pm EST on February 2, 2025 (the "Sweepstakes Period").

2. Eligibility: 

a. Entrants must be legal residents of the Sweepstakes Area and at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. 

b. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, and the members of their immediate families (defined as spouse, domestic partner, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses or domestic partners, regardless of where they reside) and households (whether or not related), are not eligible to enter or win.

3. Prizes, Odds, and Prize Restrictions: 

a. There are a total of fifteen thousand (15,000) prizes available to be won (each a "Prize" and collectively known as "Prizes"). Each Prize consists of the following:

b. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received. All prize details are at Sponsor's sole discretion. Prize(s) must be accepted as awarded and may not be substituted or transferred, except that Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value if any Prize cannot be awarded as described or becomes unavailable for any reason. Prize(s) are not transferable, not for resale and have no cash surrender value.

c. Each Winner shall be solely responsible for all federal, state, provincial and/or local taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof, and for any other fees or costs associated with the Prizes. 

d.  Sponsor and its parent corporations, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and all of their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents, representatives, licensees and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") have not made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. By accepting a Prize, each confirmed Winner agrees to waive all recourse against the Released Parties if the applicable Prize or any component thereof does not prove satisfactory, either in whole or in part.

4. How to Enter: Wattpad will post an announcement of the Curated by YOU Sweepstakes through an email and/or on Wattpad. Read any story or stories while logged into your Wattpad account for at least eighty (80) minutes to be entered into the Sweepstakes. One (1) entry will be counted for each eighty (80) minute period of reading time while logged into your Wattpad account. To enter without reading, email [email protected] with your (i) full name (and, if you are a Minor in your jurisdiction at the time of entry, your parent/legal guardian's name as well); (ii) age; and (iii) the name of the sweepstakes you wish to enter.

5. Entries: By entering, you agree to be bound by all Sponsor's Policies (found at https://policies.wattpad.com/), including the Content Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Website Terms"). You must complete the action(s) outlined in Section 4 [How To Enter] during the Sweepstakes Period. Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures, etc.) does not constitute proof of delivery. Website's clock will be the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes. 

a. Each submission shall herein be individually referred to as an "Entry" and collectively as "Entries"). There is a limit of two hundred fifty (250) Entries per Wattpad ID and associated email address in total. Each Entry must be associated with a valid Wattpad ID and email address.

b. In the event of a dispute regarding any Entry based on an email address, that Entry will be deemed made by the authorized holder of the primary email address associated with the Entry at the time of the Entry submission, and such Entrant must comply with these Official Rules. Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, artificial intelligence, or any other automated means are prohibited and will be void. The Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, falsified, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete Entries, which will be void. Any Entries that do not satisfy the requirements set out in these Official Rules will be ineligible for entry into the Sweepstakes. Any person who is found to have entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these Official Rules will be disqualified. 

c. All Entries become the permanent property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.

6. Winner Selection, Notification & Verification:

a. Sponsor or its designee will conduct one (1) random draw (the "Prize Draw") on February 3, 2025 or within a reasonable time thereafter (the "Draw Date") in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to select the fifteen thousand (15,000) Entries from among all eligible and timely Entries received. Subject to verification of eligibility, the fifteen thousand (15,000) persons whose Entries are so selected will be declared the winners (each a "Winner").

b. Sponsor or its designee will attempt to notify each potential winner by direct message on Wattpad by February 4, 2025 (the "Notification"). Each potential winner must respond to notification and provide any requested contact information within one (1) business day of notification. If any potential winner is a Canadian resident, they are required to answer correctly a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance of any kind, mechanical or otherwise. Each potential winner may be required to execute a Declaration of Eligibility and Release, by email ("Release"). If any potential winner (a) cannot be contacted directly by, or does not respond to, Notification within the time stated above, (b) fails to satisfy any eligibility or verification requirement herein (including any required Release or skill testing question), (c) declines to accept the Prize, or (d) is otherwise determined to be ineligible, Sponsor reserves the right in its discretion to disqualify that individual, who will forfeit the Prize. In such event, Sponsor will select an alternate winner as soon as reasonably practicable after such disqualification. Any alternate winners must satisfy the above-described verification procedures and deadlines. This process will continue until all Winners have been verified or there are no more eligible Entries, whichever is earlier. 

c. Confirmed Winners will be announced on Wattpad on or around February 9, 2025 and Prizes will be shipped to verified Winners within thirty (30) days through their Wattpad wallet associated with their Wattpad account (digital prize). Upon fulfilling any Prize, the Sponsor will be deemed to have awarded the Prize to such winner and such Winner assumes full responsibility for the Prize. The Sponsor reserves the right to award fewer than the stated number of Prizes if it does not receive an adequate number of properly submitted and eligible Entries. 

7. Right to Void / Terminate / Suspend / Modify: Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or modify this Sweepstakes, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or obligation if, in Sponsor's sole discretion, any factor interferes with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Official Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, if the Sweepstakes, or any part thereof, is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, programming errors, or technical failures, which, in the sole discretion of Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, void any suspect entries and: (a) terminate the Sweepstakes, or any portion thereof; (b) modify or suspend the Sweepstakes or any portion thereof, to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes, or relevant portion, in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; and/or (c) award the prizes from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment in accordance with the winner selection criteria discussed above. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process, the operation of the Sweepstakes, violates the Official Rules, or acts with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

8. Release / Limitation of Liability: ENTRANTS HEREBY HOLD THE RELEASED PARTIES HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY THIRD-PARTY CLAIM ARISING FROM USE OF THE ENTRY(IES) OR ENTRANTS' PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH COPYRIGHT, TRADEMARK, RIGHTS OF PUBLICITY OR PRIVACY OR FALSE ENDORSEMENT. RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST, LATE, DAMAGED, MISDIRECTED, ILLEGIBLE, INCOMPLETE, DELAYED, INACCURATE, GARBLED, STOLEN OR MUTILATED ENTRIES, OR FOR ANY COMPUTER, ONLINE, TELEPHONE OR TECHNICAL MALFUNCTIONS, DELAYS OR HUMAN ERRORS THAT OCCUR IN THE PROCESSING, TRANSMISSION OR RECEIPT OF ENTRIES, OR FOR INACCURATE TRANSCRIPTION OF ENTRY INFORMATION, OR FOR ENTRIES THAT ARE STOLEN, MISDIRECTED, GARBLED, LOST OR DELAYED BY COMPUTER TRANSMISSIONS, OR IF, FOR ANY REASON, THE SWEEPSTAKES IS NOT CAPABLE OF BEING CONDUCTED AS PLANNED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO INFECTION BY COMPUTER VIRUSES, BUGS, TAMPERING, UNAUTHORIZED INTERVENTION, FRAUD, TECHNICAL FAILURES, OR OTHER CAUSES. RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCORRECT OR INACCURATE ENTRY INFORMATION, WHETHER CAUSED BY INTERNET USERS OR BY ANY OF THE EQUIPMENT OR PROGRAMMING ASSOCIATED WITH OR UTILIZED IN THE SWEEPSTAKES OR BY ANY TECHNICAL OR HUMAN ERROR THAT MAY OCCUR IN THE PROCESSING OF THE ENTRIES IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EACH ENTRANT: (A) RELEASES THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, LOSS OR DAMAGE THAT THE ENTRANT MAY INCUR IN CONNECTION WITH THE ENTRANT'S PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES AND, IF APPLICABLE, WITH RESPECT TO THE AWARD, RECEIPT, POSSESSION AND/OR USE OR MISUSE OF A PRIZE AND NOTIFICATIONS IN RESPECT OF PRIZES; (B) AGREES THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THE ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN AWARDS FOR, AND HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES; (C) AGREES THAT ALL CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES, OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED, SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; AND (D) AGREES THAT ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS, AND AWARD SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, INCLUDING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ENTERING THIS SWEEPSTAKES, AND IN NO EVENT WILL ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ATTORNEYS' FEES OR OTHER LEGAL COSTS OR TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED. SOME U.S. STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES AND THEREFORE THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU IN WHOLE OR IN PART.

9. General: 

a. The Released Parties do not assume any responsibility for (i) the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information and entries that fail to comply with these Official Rules; (ii) any loss, damage, or claims caused by an awarded Prize or the Sweepstakes itself; or (iii) any failure of the https://www.wattpad.com/1503252063 including any problems, human or technical, printing errors, lost, delayed, garbled data or transmissions, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects or failures of any telephone or computer lines, or technical malfunction of any computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from downloading any material connected to the Sweepstakes, all of which may affect a person's ability to participate in the Sweepstakes. Entry material/data that has been tampered with or altered is void.

b. By accepting a Prize, each Winner grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to the use of Winner's name, address (city and state or province/territory) and/or photograph without further compensation, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor with respect to this Sweepstakes, except to the extent prohibited by law. 

c. By entering and/or accepting a Prize, Entrants agree that the Sweepstakes shall be construed in accordance with the governing laws and jurisdiction of the Province of Ontario, excluding its conflict of law rules. 

d. All entries become the permanent property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state/provincial, territorial and local laws.

10. Use of Data: Sponsor prohibits entry by, and does not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under thirteen (13) years of age. Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from Entrants will only be used by the Sponsor to administer the Sweepstakes and, only if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide the Entrants with information regarding upcoming promotions and/or events from the Sponsor and its affiliates. By entering the Sweepstakes, each Entrant (or their parent or legal guardians if a Minor in their jurisdiction at the time of entry) consents to the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out herein and in the Sponsor's privacy policy, which is available at https://policies.wattpad.com/privacy.

11. Winner's List: The winner's list to be available after February 19, 2025. The winner's list will be posted on www.wattpad.com until March 21, 2025.
