I hurry to my drawers and pull out my own choice of clothes.

A (color) shirt/sweater/hoodie/etc. along with (color) pants/jeans/skirt/shorts, and a [optional] (color) beanie/cap to cover my head just because.

I quickly change into these, and then I go into my closet, taking my (color) backpack out. I throw out all the school supplies and other useless things, then I start putting in stuff like my special notebook, some pencils, two of my favorite books, and a small stuffed (animal)...one that my brother Jeff gave to me not too long ago.

I loved that stuffed (animal) so much, and looking at it made me think about Jeff. I held back my tears this time, trying to stay strong like Liu seemed to be doing, and I stuff it in my backpack, zipping it shut afterwards.
I sling it onto my back and then quietly slip out of my room.
