Weight Loss
So, I've been working on myself for quite some time, which would explain the lack of updates on certain stories, but I'm happy to say that not only have I started to be happy a lot more, I lost about 12 pounds, due to cutting off sugar, dairy, and red meat like steak and beef while doing colonics.
What colonics do is simple: a tube gets stuck in your rectum and the person pushing down on your stomach helps the bits and pieces of residual feces out of the intestinal tract, helping you lose weight.
And speaking of which, here's the thing about me going that route: whenever I'm doing something, I'm not gonna feel depressed anymore and I always try to do something with my life. It also has to do with the fact that I'm not exercising or anything. When I'm talking about working out at the gym, you're getting somewhere, but at the same time, it's expensive these days and it's not worth it.
However, that doesn't mean you can't do nothing to lose weight. You can go on a walk, you can run, you can bike, you can do anything you put your mind to in regards to doing whatever you can to lose weight and getting in shape. Hell, order some gym equipment from your local sports department because that's what my dad had in his home gym. He always stayed in shape with that stuff and it's much cheaper to buy gym equipment (even though the prices can be expensive) and you don't have to buy a membership.
If anyone has to pay for a gym membership, that's their choice, but at the end of the day, it all about being in shape and feeling healthy.
Now, what I'm doing is walking and eating healthy. How I do it is that I don't count calories. To me, it's not worth the time because if you set a number, like, 2500, it's just going to be a waste of time to do that, not to mention you don't know what calories contain, like, a burger at any of your favorite fast food places, which I'll get to right now.
The thing about fast food is that I try to stay away from them now because making the food yourself is better than ordering from the outside and it'll cause you to gain it as well. Yes, it helped us when we're late at night and we needed something to fill us up, but how is it really satisfying when you're only making yourself feel worse than you already feel?
Also, I always try to have something that's sweet for desert or whatever. What I have is sugar free sweets like chocolate, yogurt, granola, or anything that has little to no sugar in it. Even if I'm trying to show how dedicated to losing weight, I'm still unsure on how it's working, but I'm willing to see it through because if that's what it takes to lose this weight, then so be it.
I want to lose weight, but I also don't wanna go hungry, so what I do is that I eat strawberries and watermelon for a snack, have a peach, and then chicken thighs, pork, or fish for dinner.
Let me simplify it, just to make it easier to learn:
For breakfast, I use to walk over to my favorite grocery store, buy a pack of donuts with a bottle of chocolate milk. Now, I just eat strawberries or vanilla yogurt with granola and cinnamon. Yes, the yogurt has sugar, but it has 3 to 4 grams of to make up for it. I do have a coffee every now and then, if I'm feeling up for it, but I always drink, like, a small glass of milk to even out what I'm eating.
For lunch, I always go with small chicken nuggets that may be fried, but at the end of the day, chicken is better than red meat, or beef because it's something that should count as a healthy meal. Red meat like steak needs to be considered a cheat meal because you're gaining weight as you eat a type of steak like chuck eye, ribeye, NY Strip, or anything regarding beef. I did have steak this past weekend to celebrate myself losing 10 pounds.
For dinner, I have pork, fish, or chicken along with a green, like, green beans, a small side salad, or carrots. I also like to cook as well as pork is something that I absolutely love and yes, people say it's red meat. It is, but when you cook it, it turns white, so I wouldn't say avoid pork because of that.
Chicken is one of my all time favorite meats because you can choose either dark meat, the wings, thighs, and drumsticks, or you can choose the white meat, which is the breast of the chicken. I'm more of a dark chicken meat kind of guy because, to me, it just has a lot more flavor and if you cook it for so long, it'll continue to be really tender to where it'll melt in your mouth.
My favorite part of the dark meat for chicken is the thighs. The reason is that whenever I'm cooking dinner, I always go for them, just because they have a lot more flavor. I can also try to de-bone some thighs if I ever have the chance, but I want to make sure that it's cooked to perfection, 165 to 175 degrees.
With protein, I always prep the veggies first and then the meat because if you do the meat first and then the veggies, you'll get sick with many different types of diseases.
And with fish, I mostly prefer wild caught because farm raised is gonna get you sick later on in your life. With wild caught fish, you don't have to worry about any diseases that comes with the fish. They type of fish I prefer sockeye salmon, cod, and Mahi Mahi (for Me-he Me-he) because they have a lot more flavor than shrimp or anything regarding seafood.
And if you wrap cod with prosciutto, season it with cracked black pepper in a 425 degree oven on convection, served with a salad and some white rice, it's magical. I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it already.
I know I'm going off topic with the eating healthy, and I apologize, but I just want to give out a little bit of info on what kind of foods I like to eat while giving my take on losing weight and how I'm really doing it.
I used to be big like freaking 240 with a giant fishbelly gut, but now I'm slimmed down to 230lbs and so far, I love it with the colonics and the new diet I'm on as I'm looking forward to seeing myself in the best shape of my life. I feel great and I'm really happy about my progress at the moment.
However, that doesn't mean I gave up on my favorite foods. I didn't, but I made exceptions to what I like to eat as well like a Baked Ziti, I use gluten free penne (even though it's not really ziti), and two packs of ground chicken. I still make red sauce from scratch, but I always try to find unsalted crush tomatoes and unsalted tomato paste. I am allowed to have cheese as long as I don't overdo it like I always did when I made this dish. It's something that I've always put my mind to.
So in summary, I also have the mindset of eating whatever I want, as long as I cut out the sugar, dairy, and red meat. To me, it's better than not losing weight and I'm really happy I've gone this route because I'm feeling great. I hope I inspired you to get started on your weight loss journey like I have and I really enjoy what I'm doing so far.
It's just the best.
