The David Zaslav Paradox
~Disclaimer~
Everything you're about to read is public information about the person in today's topic. Do not harass anyone mentioned in this paper as it is to educate the public about the damage the individual had caused in today's economy.
Not only that, even though it's true evidence and it's only being repeated, everything is simply going to perceived as alleged since it has not been discussed by said person as of late and not brought into the court of law, at least from what we know.
Also, I am not an economy expert, so anything I talk about will be subjective no matter the facts are put out in this paper.

You look like Anthony Hopkins if he had a 72 hour chemo treatment.
Alright, welcome back guys and guys with no dicks.
David Zaslav, the guy who writes checks with his left while holding the pen with his entire fist, he scammed his customers then laughed about it, he cancelled movies and shows as write-offs, putting the money in his own pocket and then laughing about it, he's been a democrat mocking a future 2024 Presidential candidate DJT (if you know who it is, then you know who it is), he's Jewish, and he's been breaking records on becoming the biggest shit stain in Hollywood, or if not streaming service history.
You can definitely say that what I'm saying is exaggerated, but with the evidence that I'm about to provide, it's gonna be very hard to keep things exaggerated, especially with the two year old cancellation of the one movie we all have been waiting for, which I'll be going over shortly, but I wanna set the stage for what's going to be talked about.
The first thing I wanna do has to do with his upbringing and then I'm gonna cover how he managed to become one of the biggest laughingstocks in Hollywood, so without any more blabbering let's lick the clit and get into this shit.
So, David was born into a Jewish family in the one state that I'm ashamed to say as I live in the same state, which is New York, from polish and Ukrainian descent parents, they moved to another city in NY when he turned eight years old graduated with honors from Boston University School of Law, where he would become a lawyer with LeBoeuf, Lamb, Lieby, and MacRae in New York.
However, in 1989, Zaslav would quit his job as a lawyer and joined NBC as he would become the President of Cable and Domestic TV and New Mefia Distribution, where he would have responsibilities to the following networks.
Now I ain't reading all that for the sake of time, so if you wanna stop and see what he would oversee, then go ahead because I'd be dropping a Netflix Original if I listed off the responsibilities he had to carry on his shoulders, where you'd be growing a beard and cobwebs residing in your ass crack.
Zaslav would oversee all the interests as well because it would especially go on to take over HBO Max and the series and movies they'd go on to create.
And that's where we set the scene because you might wanna call Zaslav the "Triple H of MAX" because that's when he would start to bury shows and movies for his own monetary gain and the first movie that would get cancelled would be "Batgirl".
"Batgirl" was a movie we were all looking forward to watching and it was for sure going to be given flowers for the hard work and dedication being put into it. Zaslav, however, would throw the flowers he had for the cast and crew right into the garbage because instead of congratulating them for all the hard work they put in to make a great movie, he would go on to say...
The science behind it is true! The books are on my page!
What David would say instead was that they're having the movie axed for "budget reasons".
Bruh, you work for the WBD, like you couldn't even give the movie a chance and let it go out into theaters without some kind major thank you to all the fans. You pretty much gave a one-two-fuck-you combo to all the actors, crew, and the fans by perceiving the film as a tax write-off, as well as Scoob 2 that was supposed to come out the year prior after the success of the first one from 2020, even though the Damndemic was going on at the time.
Zaslav would comment on the whole thing, especially when he pulled Sesame Street off of Max, "Let me be clear, we did not get rid of any show that was helping us."
You're right, you destroyed them instead.
He also said, talking about billion dollar investors, saying, "This is more than just a dollar tally of what we've saved on an expense line. It is more than just a number. We are fundamentally rethinking and reimagining how this organization is structured. And we are empowering our business unit leadership to transform their organizations with an owners mindset and a view on quality and accountability."
And where's the empowerment? Let me be the first to say that this is ironic because you're literally taking all the money that was spent on this movie and then putting it in your own pocket while you're sitting on your bum and twiddling your fucking thumbs. There's really no excuse when you're pushing your customers away when you do this shit, especially when you started to lay off a lot of employees for more money.
I mean, I'm not a lawyer by any means, but you can clearly tell that there's a coverup going on behind in this answer.
Zaslav would go on and explain why WBD actually shelved "Batgirl" in a conference call, "We're not going to launch a movie until it's ready. We're not going to launch a movie to make a quarter and we're not going to put a movie out unless we believe in it."
You pretty much robbed everyone of what could've been a great movie because you launching it on HBO Max was too much work for you. Instead, you sat on your ass and proclaimed that it's not worth the time and effort with a smile on your face and a boner in your pants with everyone outraged about the fact that they put in so much hard work to make the movie when it was nearly done.
You even did it with many of the shows I'm about to list off shortly, so why are you still having a hard-on for axing many more and trying to cover up the fact that you're hungry for greed? I mean, I'm not that religious in any way, but I'm pretty sure greed is one of the seven deadly sins in Christianity as Zaslav is pretty much the embodiment of that particular sin because he had Batgirl as a Tax Write-Off.
And for some reason with Zaslav's brain being the equivalent of a hot pocket spinning in a microwave, he decided to say that it was the only option to protect DC and its characters while trying to produce great stories with those movies as Superman, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman are perfect examples of that.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
"Our objective is to grow the DC brand, to grow the DC characters, but also our job is to protect the DC brand. Our ambition is to bring Warner back and to produce great, high quality films. As we look at the opportunities that we have broadly, DC is on he top of the list for us. You look at Superman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman. These are brands that are known everywhere in the world. The ability to drive those all over the world with a great story is a big opportunity for us."
What's the point of "protecting" DC characters when you're trying to put your own spin into a cancelled movie that everyone was looking forward to? That defeats the entire purpose of protecting the DC franchise when you cancel a production, losing millions of dollars in the process, and then putting more money into your bank account instead of WBD's and still claiming that you're trying to make WBD a ton of money when in reality, you're costing them money.
Zaslav, you are what I consider a Walking Talking Gloryhole.
I know that I kept going on about the Batgirl movie being cancelled and trying to bring this controversy to light, but I just don't understand why it's not being talked about enough with a lot of people.
Anyway, this wasn't the only time Zaslav axed a pretty good production as he would go on to axe Our Flag Means Death, Julia, Rap Sh!t, The Flight Attendant, Scavengers Reign, The Girls On The Bus, Tokyo Vice, and Clone High, all from this year and yet he still considers the shows not worth the time and money, even though he's clearly doing something that's illegal and he used to be a New York Lawyer.
Congratulations David, you played yourself.
The way he handles himself as he laughs and costs Warner Bros. Discovery billions upon billions of dollars in axing shows is remarkable. Like, I'm pretty convinced he got his advice for Jordan Belfort because he scammed customers out of money at Wall Street and look where it got him, in a jail where he lived in his own piss and shit.
That's me quoting Otis off of Rob Zombie's Firefly franchise, can't take credit.
Anyway, the last thing I wanna cover has to do with the popular show on TNT called "Inside The NBA".
Before I get started, I wanna make something clear that I am not an NBA fan and it's not something in my forte, so if I make a mistake, let me know and I'll try my best to right that mistake. Sounds like a plan?
Good.
Anyway, Charles Barkley, one of the hosts and a former NBA player himself, would call Zaslav and the employees clowns, because of the stuff I just mentioned (should we be surprised by that?) because Zaslav said himself that WBD didn't need the NBA.
From what I know, the NBA is very expensive, more expensive than three dozen private mansions combined, which is almost 1.2 billion dollars per year, more so than the NHL's 200 million dollar deal and 470 million dollars for the MLB.
This would cause a downward spiral of Zaslav making the statement, "A deal for the future, it can't be a deal for the past". And this can be backed up because in 2014, a lucrative deal for the NBA was made and it went into effect in 2016 where it would go on for 8 years, expiring this year's season of 2024-25.
Warner Bros. Discovery, AKA "Asslav", was paid less than 500 million dollars per year because of the rights. On TNT, WBD also operated the digital properties of the NBA, NBA TV, NBA.com, and NBA Leage Pass. It was reported last year that the NBA was seeking a whopping 75 billion dollars for the next set of right deals.
It's unclear whether it's a realistic deal or not, maybe it's wishful thinking, but ESPN and Turner actually faced competition from Amazon, Apple, and Google during this time.
Now, how does this relate to Zaslav? Well, I wanted to give some context on how it all went down before I put out what he thought about the deal, so now that I did, let's see what he thought about it.
"The goodwill impairment was triggered in response to the difference between market capitalization and book value, continued softness in the U.S. linear advertising market, and uncertainty related to affiliate and sports rights renewals, including the NBA."
You know why it was triggered? It's because of your claim of the NBA not being needed with WBD, especially when the shares went down almost 7% after it closed due to Wall Street forecasts.
It doesn't there because it turned out that it would actually be the end of the NBA being featured on TNT where Charles Barkley would rescind his retirement from "Inside The NBA", which would be moved to ESPN and would start to continue his career on the show despite WBD's revenue of $9.6 billion dollars now being down 6%, with a total of $576,000,000, subtracting that to $9,024,000,000.
And Zaslav? Here's what he had to say about it: "At Warner Bros. Discovery, our top priority is our global direct-to-consumer business and we are extremely pleased with the growing momentum we are seeing, as demonstrated by another strong quarter of growth with 3.6 million net adds, fueled by our ongoing international expansion and investment in high quality, diverse content.
"In light of industry headwinds, we have and will continue taking bold steps, like reimagining our existing linear partnerships and pursuing new bundling opportunities, with the goal to get Max on the devices of more consumers faster and at a fraction of the acquisition cost, and we are seeing clear evidence that these and other actions we are taking will help drive segment profitability in the second half of the year and into 2025 and beyond."
How is that possible when you have networks not wanting to do with you, knowing your history of axing great shows and continuing the ones that no one asked for? You really should know by now that every decision you've made is wrong and yet you're still wondering why many people are unsubscribing from the platform.
You have to be that stupid to not realize that your actions have consequences and yet you continue to keep axing shows and movies, thinking that's a way to fix things as well as taking money right out of your employees' pockets and into your own while firing them as well.
I would go on and keep talking about how all of this is just affecting the economy, but I'm not going to because I'd rather go to an Amy Schumer comedy special with a straitjacket than do more research about this drama while giving my take on it.
All I'll say is that Zaslav needs to be ousted from the company, like TKO did to the SA Commissioner...
...but I'll end it saying that the new show on Max sometime this year should be "60 Days In", but if the days were switched to years and the first person that should be featured is you, David Asslav.
You literally ruined what a streaming service should be and how it should be run with your ruthless, take no prisoners approach when it comes to good shows we all enjoy and yet you cut them for no good or valid reason. You literally became the one thing you didn't want the service to become.
Not only that, you created an environment where people are afraid of working for you and you don't care about anyone but yourself.
With that said, I think I'm gonna wrap it up here, but I do hope that Zaslav does get replaced sometime soon with a logical and more realistic guy than him as he seriously doesn't realizes that he's ruined HBO Max and Warner Bros. Discovery combined.
If you guys enjoyed this, be sure to slap a vote on it before your partner/spouse slaps you. Be sure to follow me and there's a chance I might follow you back.
I wanna say sorry for the lack of updates on this book. I only did recipes so I can try to keep it going and hopefully no one minded that since they're my own and I wanted to share them with everyone.
Now, that I'm done with the David Zaslav paper, I'm now gonna work on the DrDisRespect paper as I have a lot of work to do for that, so with that being said, I'll see you guys later.
I'm out.
