Yea, so I'm one of those people that had a dream and woke up in the middle of the night realizing- oh crap I forgot to post an update on a holiday like this, and know I would feel guilty if I didn't do anything. So better late than never, right?

I'd like to use this update to honor all those fallen soldiers who gave their lives for this country we so proudly call the United States of America. And why our American flag flies by the last breathes of all those soldiers.

We say "happy Memorial Day!" But please someone explain to me what's "happy" about it? Nothing. Absolutely nothing, but the fact that millions of soldiers present, past and future, cared enough and loved their country enough to give their lives for you and me. And that to me is amazingly, mind blowing. Their God's angels-both Military and law enforcement. And I believe God made these people special than others... idk how or why. I just know they-to me are someone who deserves every inch of any Americans respect, not because of them being special or who they are-but what they stand for and believe in-what we as Americans believe in.

And it's not just Memorial Day, that:"see a soldier thank a soldier" No. I hate that people say that like only on Memorial Day. That is low of you if you only do that on Memorial Day and you should probably leave now before I show you what a true-angry and ticked off, daughter of a Captain in the Air Force, American, patriot, looks like. Cause so help me if you do that-by God's grace, I hope you leave now, and you should probably unfollow me. That belief in only doing that on this day-is stupid as all get out. YOU should do that ANYTIME and EVERYTIME you see one, whether they be an old veteran or a young cadet, they all deserve your respect and love and thankfulness. You don't know-I don't even know what it's like to go each day wondering if you'll make it home to your family, to your newborn baby, because you love your country so darn much!

Story time:
This Christmas, I don't know if I told this to anyone yet, if I did, read it again. I was walking through the mall and I remember seeing these two soldiers in their fatigues. One looked to be about 20 the other in his early 30's I watched them as I sat at a table, for about 30 mins as they shopped(yes, stalkerish I know, but if you know me you know I'm like that-I like to observe, anyways) I watched as hundreds of people walked by them without a word or anything, I watched as they minded their own business shopping. And no one even blinked an eye.

And you know that-as an American, hurt me like heck. Why?? Have Americans gone to be so selfish? Not even thanking them for saving your butt? Low. Dang, low.

So ya know what I did, I walked up to them, with a bright smile. And this is how it went:

"Merry Christmas, Sir." I said holding my hand out for the twenty year old to shake.

He smiled and took my hand shaking it with a nod, I then turned to the other and held my hand out,"Merry Christmas, Sir." I repeated.
He also smiled and shook my hand.

"Thank you, Merry Christmas to you too, miss." They said in unison.

I smiled brightly,"My name is ______ and I just wanted to wish you both a merry Christmas and thank you for serving, and protecting our great nation."

And let me just even try to explain the look in their eyes as I looked at them. It'd make anyone who saw want to cry and smile so bright at one time. It was mind blowing how much my words meant to them. Simple words. That meant so much to these to men. It was amazing. I'll never forget it.

And what's sad is, they won't get to see their families for Christmas. They won't get to wake up to their kids jumping on the bed.(they both had wedding rings on and I'm assuming the thirty year old, had kids or something) or wake up to their wife and say:"Merry Christmas sweetheart"

People don't understand how much they give up to fire a gun at the enemy for their country and give their lives for you and me! So much! And unless your a soldier you'll never truly understand.

So in all that I want to say to the soldiers that sleep, peacefully for eternity; honored, respected-with all I have-Thank you. Thank you so much! God bless you!

"Memorial Day"

(Sorry didn't mean for this to turn into a book, lol this is literally 900 words-whoops, I was gonna add the rest of my update, but I'll do that later)

America Motto:"In God We Trust"- the most comforting statement in history.

American Bird: Eagle-"We'll soar with wings of eagles and be as brave as the gleam in our eyes, may we rise as one and forever carry the liberty and freedom of all."
