A short time later....

Anis: Heading up to the surface yet again? What did I ever do to deserve this?

Rapi: Wait, someone's coming. 

Anis: Hmm? 

Flukey: Huh? 

The trio looked to see a Nikke dressed in blue and white attire named Neon.

Neon: Hello. My name is Neon.

Rapi: A Nikke from Elysion? 

Neon: I was sent to take part in this investigation. Nice to meet you. 

Flukey: Uh likewise. 

Rapi: Shifty, did you know about this? 

Shifty: I got a personnel transfer notice just now.

Rapi: Commander did you receive anything about this? 

Flukey: No but this might not be so bad. I mean, one more Nikke on the team might increase our chance of success on this mission. 

Anis: Eh maybe. But even still, another member being added out of the blue is way too fishy. Something's not right. What type of Nikke are you? 

Flukey: I'm curious about that as well. 

Neon: Um....I'm....Ah yes, I believe I'm a spy. 

Anis: Huh? 

Neon: My boss Ingrid instructed me to do my utmost in assisting you, after which I am to report back to her. This is what a spy does, no? 

Anis: I....guess so. 

Neon: I've always wanted to be a spy! I'm looking forward to working with you all. I'll try to be the best spy I can. 

Flukey: And I'll try to be the best Commander I can. Welcome to the Counters Squad Neon. 

Neon: Glad to be here.

Anis: You sure this isn't going to be a problem down the line? 

Shifty: Well.....

Later and on the Surface....

Neon: So....this is the surface. 

Anis: First time?

Neon: Roger. It's so....big. The sky isn't buzzing. It's nothing like I've ever seen before. The air composition is the same, but somehow it just feels different. 

Anis: It'll wear off in a day or two. We're guaranteed to run into Raptures within the hour. This is no time for sight-seeing. If you stay too long, you'll get a nice heavy dose of electron beams straight to the brain.

Shifty: Yes, you must act quickly. The objective of this operation is to investigate the control room of the power station. Scanning the area. Aerating. Clearing out Alva Particles. Concentration 42.23%....21.48%....Alva Particle concentration 2.01%. Scanning finished. According to the scan, you'll have to follow the maglev train tracks to the reach the power station. A high-voltage current is running through the entire line. It's not an issue for the Nikkes, but the Commander.....

Flukey: I know. I'd end up being shocked to a crisp and become a statistic in the ever-growing criteria of Commanders who have died because of their own fragility. 

Anis: Hey don't beat yourself down Commander. As true as that statement is, at least you're modest enough to know your own limitations. 

Rapi: Where is the current coming from? 

Shifty: Retrieving history. The city was closed off five years ago to prevent any Raptures from escaping. Seems it was deliberately leaked to the outside. The line was close to completion, so it has been generating electricity autonomously 

Anis: What about the humans who are still in the city? 

Shifty was hesitant and that gave Anis the hint. 

Anis: Well, considering we don't know what we'll run into, it's best they stay inside. 

Rapi: Our first order of business is cutting off power to the line. Is there any way we can do that?

Shifty: Yes, I will mark the location of the control room on the map. 

Rapi: Commander, I'm ready. 

Flukey: Alright then. If Anis and Neon are ready too then let's get going. 

Rapi: Yes, Commander. 

Some time later at the Control Room....

Shifty: We've arrived at the control room. Preparing to cut power.

Rapi: Commander, give me the CombiLink. 

Flukey: Here ya go. 

Flukey gave Rapi the CombiLink to allow her to cut the power. 

After a while it worked successfully. 

Shifty: The power has been shut off. You can take the line straight into the city now. 

Rapi: Let's go. 

With that, the group continued onward until they finally made it to the power station. Unfortunately the only way to get in was the sewers and that's where the Counters Squad was now.

Neon: Man, it stinks to high heaven!

Anis: If there aren't any people living here, how come it smells so bad?

Rapi: Because it's a drainpipe. All sorts of stuff build up in here over time. 

Neon: Guys....

Rapi: What is it? 

Neon: I think I'm gonna throw up. 

Flukey: (Can Nikkes throw up? Can they even get drunk? Questions for later)

Rapi: Then turn off your olfactory sensor. 

Neon: But I feel less of a human when I do that. 

Anis: Haha! You're not serious, are you? 

Neon: In my heart, I'm a human. It's all I have. 

Anis: Well, good for you. As for me, I'm turning mine off. 

Rapi: Commander, are you all right? 

Flukey: I mean, I could be a lot better but I'm just peachy at the moment. 

Anis: Hey, watch what you say when you're behind me! You're in my "line of fire", if you know what I mean. 

While Flukey was keeping silent, mentally he was starting to lose it with Anis's constant rambling. 

Neon: I never thought we'd be sneaking in through a drain. Most Commanders treat Nikkes as weapons, so they prefer using confrontational tactics.

Anis: Tactics, my ass. They're just too lazy to come up with any other kind of plan. They all think they're God's gift to mankind. Meanwhile, they throw a tantrum when they get a speck of dirt on their uniform. It makes me sick. 

Flukey's blood was slowly starting to boil and he was about to tell Anis off when Rapi spoke. 

Rapi: Stop. 

She stopped and Neon ended up bumping into her with Anis bumping into her and Flukey bumped into Anis....

More specifically, his face bumped into her ass, causing him and her to blush red.

Anis: Eep! Wait, wait! Com-Commander? Your face....it touched my....

Flukey immediately tried to defuse the tension, letting his anger quickly subside. 

Flukey: O-Okay....I know this looks bad....but I promise it wasn't on purpose. It really doesn't matter. 

Anis: It matters to me! Back, back! Get back!!

Anis proceeded to kick Flukey away as he tried to avoid her kicks. With his boiling blood coming back Flukey decided it was now time to teach Anis a lesson. 

Flukey: (Alright that's it! This girl's had this coming for a long time now!)

In a moment of dominant power, Flukey raised his hand and gave Anis's ass a hard smack, causing her to almost scream out in shock.

Anis: Commander.....you pervert!

But the look on Flukey's face told her that he was not in the mood. 

Flukey: *Stern* Not. Another. Word. 

Taken aback by her Commander's now stern attitude, Anis did as told while still blushing while Rapi and Neon kept silent, knowing that Anis had it coming but didn't think Flukey would punish her in such a way. 

Flukey: Now....why did you stop Rapi?

Rapi: I see light. We're inside the station. 

Flukey: Finally. Let's get out of here. 

After what seemed like forever, Counters made it out of the drainpipe and into the station, able to continue their mission.
