Second day of Flukey's Ban....

It was the second and last day of Flukey's ban from going on operations and Flukey spent the day with Countess. They all were at Royal Roads getting supplies and other necessities and pleasantries for the Outpost. 

As to how Flukey managed to get the credits, he has Mustang to thank for that. 

And this caused a question to form in Anis's head. 

Anis: Hey Commander, how do you know my boss? It's not like him to give so much credits to a Commander, even one that has one of his Nikkes. 

Then Mihara decided to speak up about a question of her own. 

Mihara: And how do you know Absolute as well. Seems Eunhwa was familiar with you in a way. 

Rapi: I've also been wondering that myself. 

Neon: I didn't know Master had so many connections. 

Yuni: Hey Commander, you're not holding out on us are you~?

Yuni got up on her tip-toes as she grabbed Flukey's jacket and brought him down to her level as he blushed. 

Yuni: Because if you are, I'll have to punish you when we get back to the Outpost~. 

Flukey gulped as he blushed a bit. 

He was well aware of Yuni's masochistic nature and really didn't want to be on the receiving end again given that his leg's still a little sore from Yuni hitting him with her whip as a sort of punishment for being away from the Outpost for so long. 

To Countess's surprise, Flukey was highly durable for a human. 

Even he was surprised though his unnatural durability didn't deter the pain.

Flukey: I-I promise I'm not holding out on you girls. I'll tell you everything. 

Yuni: Good Commander~. 

Yuni let go of Flukey and he started to explain.

Flukey: Mustang and I....we've known each other since I was a kid. In fact, he funded the orphanage that I was used to live at. As for Absolute, in reality I was acquainted with Eunhwa more than Emma and Vesti because she visited the academy one time to inspect the progress of this generation of Commanders and to say she was disappointed would be an understatement with me being the only exception though she still had her opinions of me. When she called me "Weakling" on one hand you can take it as an insult but really it's just her hidden way of showing affection. 

Anis: I don't see it that way but hey believe what you want Commander. 

Flukey: Eh. Anyways the plan here is to buy food and other necessities. Rapi and I will get the food and the rest of you girls get the other things we might need. Try not to spend all of our credits though. Mustang may have given us a good sum but we need to save up. We go back to undertaking operations tomorrow after all. 

The girls nodded and Flukey and Rapi headed off to get the food and the rest went to get other things. 

Rapi: Commander, are you sure they're gonna be okay without us? 

Flukey: I'm sure they can handle it. Anis and Mihara are much more focused and can keep Neon and Yuni in line.....I hope. 

Rapi: We should hurry with the shopping then so we can make sure. 

Flukey: Right. 

With that, Flukey and Rapi hurriedly did their shopping before going looking for the girls and it didn't take long for them when they heard their voices coming towards them and looked to see Anis, Neon, Yuni, and Mihara holding a lot of stuff.

Flukey: Uh girls....how much did all this cost? 

Anis: At least over 100,000 credits. 

Flukey's eyes widened but he just sucked it up, realizing that credits are replaceable and just happy that his Nikkes were alright since Nikkes are usually shunned let alone mistreated by humans, something Flukey could never understand and was heavily against. 

Flukey: Ah it's alright. I'm just glad you girls are okay. Let's go home. 

Flukey and Countess started to head back to the Outpost while Flukey started to reminisce about the past. 

Ever since he was a child, he's always viewed Nikkes in a much brighter light than most others did and back then, he'd occasionally interact with them, ranging between talking to them, waving to them, and always making sure to thank them for protecting humanity, something they greatly appreciate. 

While it may seem like nothing to some, most Nikkes are very appreciative of the small ounces of kindness thrown their way. 

This caring attitude has gotten him into trouble with mean-spirited kids but that never deterred him from who he is, especially when he had the orphanage, Mary, and Mustang to stand by him. 

Even at the academy, he witnessed other Commanders blindly following the propaganda of the Ark while not easily swayed.

Eunhwa may have been right about Flukey being weak because he's a human but he wasn't gonna let that stop him in the slightest.

No matter what happens, he'll always be the Commander of Countess, for better or worse.

Alrighty! After 20 chapters in with this story I've decided to put it on hiatus so I can focus on my other stories.
