After the battle....

Marian: All enemies down! Transitioning to non-combat state. Argh....my leg....

Flukey: Hey. Are you hurt? 

Marian: I suppose you could say that. Hurt, or rather....malfunctioning? Either way, my mobility hasn't been affected. 

Flukey: Regardless we need to do something about that leg so....

Flukey took out some bandages and started to bandage up Marian's leg much to her surprise. 

Marian: Um....Commander....this isn't of much use to a Nikke. 

Flukey: I know but it makes me feel like I'm contributing even if only a small amount. With you protecting the both of us, the least I can do is try to tend to your injuries as best I can. 

Marian: I see. Nonetheless, I....appreciate the gesture. Thank you, Commander. I thought you'd be more of a rough and tumble kind of person. 

Flukey: Nah. That's not me at all. Unlike most Commanders, I actually respect Nikkes for everything that they do for humanity.

This put a smile on Marian's face. 

Marian: I'm glad to hear that Commander. Let's keep moving. The rendezvous point should be close by. 

Flukey: Alright. Let's go. 

After some time spent trekking.....

Marian: We're almost there. Are you feeling alright Commander? 

Flukey: A little dazed but nothing I can't deal with.

Marian: Your heart had stopped back there, but I managed to resuscitate you. If you're tired of walking, I can carry you. 

Flukey: I appreciate the offer but it's not necessary. Besides, I don't wanna make things tougher for you. 

Marian: Oh it's nothing really. Carrying you is like lifting a feather for me. Come on. 

Flukey: I promise I'm fine Marian. You really don't have to carry me. 

Flukey had his hands up in a way of assuring Marian that he was alright. 

Marian: If you insist. In that case.....

Marian then got beside Flukey and grabbed his arm, causing him to mildly blush. 

Marian: At least hold onto me a bit. Let me know if you need a rest. 

Flukey: S-Sure. 

Marian: Roger. Let's keep moving then. 

But before the duo could continue, Marian stiffened. 

Marian: We've got Raptures up ahead. I don't see any way around them. Stay here and wait for me. This will all be over soon. 

Flukey: Okay. Come back to me in one piece Marian. 

Marian: I will Commander. I promise. 

With that, Marian pressed on to deal with the Raptures up ahead before returning to Flukey and assuring him it was safe to continue forward. 

Eventually....

Eventually Flukey and Marian made it to the rendezvous point. 

Marian: Alright we're here but....where is everyone? Did the plan change after the transport ship crashed? 

Flukey: Maybe we're the first ones to get here. We'll just have to wait until other Commanders and Nikkes show up. I mean, we can't be the only ones right? 

Marian: Hmmm. It is possible....

Just then, Flukey and Marian heard gunshots in the distance that alerted them. 

Marian: Gunfire! Let's go check it out!

Flukey: Right! 

Flukey and Marian ran to where the gunshots were coming from and ahead of them were two Nikkes named 

Rapi

And Anis

Anis: How long are we going to wait here?!

Rapi: Until they come. 

Anis: We're sitting ducks out here!

Rapi: We'll wait until they come. 

Anis: Did you not see how hard they went down?! You saw that explosion! What are the odds of them coming out of that alive?

Rapi: We haven't received any confirmation of death. 

Anis: What, so we're waiting here until we do? 

Rapi: This is the rendezvous point. Leaving here would throw a wrench into the works. 

Anis: This is absurd!

Then Flukey and Marian arrived on the scene. 

Marian: Everyone!

This startled Anis.

Anis: Ah! You scared me!

Rapi was surprised too but not showing it as much. 

Marian: I'm Marian. The Commander is here with me. 

Anis: Are you serious? How did you survive that explosion? I get that you're a Nikke, but isn't that one a human?!

Flukey: Yes I am a human. As for surviving the explosion, I don't really know myself. I guess you could say I got lucky. 

Anis: Hmm. Something's fishy about this. Are you really the Commander? 

Flukey: Yes. I am. 

Rapi: Excuse me for a moment. Commander identification code, read. The squad 04-F Commander has changed. 

Anis: Rapi, we don't even know them! How could you....

Rapi: Now's not the time to argue. There are Raptures right ahead of us. 

Anis: Well....that much is true. 

Rapi: From now on, you're in command. As the former Commander is unable to issue orders at present, no formal procedures are necessary to transfer authority. The situation is urgent. I'll explain the details once the battle is over. 

Flukey: Understood. 

Rapi: You said your name was Marian? What branch are you from? 

Marian: I belong to Silver Gun. I'm a Machine Gunner. 

Anis: It checks out. *Groans* Very well then. All right, Commander. What's the next move?

Rapi: Awaiting your command. 

Flukey: Destroy the Raptures and secure the rendezvous point. 

Rapi: Yes, Commander. 

Anis: Let's get this party started! 

With the added manpower, Marian, Rapi, and Anis began to fire against the incoming Raptures while Flukey took cover to not get hit in the crossfire.
