I sat in silence as I stared at Mason's hand touching my bare thigh. He hadn't stopped since the car started. I was sure that he had lost his marbles some way down the road. Then he opened his mouth and I knew he had officially lost it.
"Not many places are open on a Saturday night but I called in a favor."
"When did you call anyone? I've been with you the whole time."
"You should know how these things work mama, your dad isn't poor." My eyes bugged out of my head. I had almost forgotten about him knowing who my father was.
"Mason don't tell anyone."
"Tell anyone what?"
"Mason..."
"Mama's" My pussy pounded. I slammed my legs together and looked out the window. He was such an ass. But his every word I found myself hung up on. His every movement I found myself admiring with glimmering eyes. I felt my forehead with the back of my hand. I must be coming down with something.
"It's not my secret to tell Mama, so it's safe with me. You're safe with me. I just want you to know you can't hide anything from me. My whole life people have tried to hide the reality from me and it's only made me the cold hearted man I am today."
"I don't think your cold.."
"You don't know me." He swerved his car into an empty parking lot in front of the Mall. He removed his hand and took the keys out of the ignition so swiftly. The place where his hand was on my leg became cold.
"Touch the door and you're dead Mama." I swallowed. Hearing him loud and clear. He came over to my side of the car and opened the door for me. I'm unsure what came over me but I reached for his hand and he allowed it to intertwine our fingers. I could fall into this fantasy just for now. Monday we would go back to the way it was supposed to be.

Mason sat in a large black armchair with like fifty outfits slung over the arm of it. He would pass me an outfit and shoo me into the dressing room. Only for me to come out and gawk at me. We were on outfit 20 when I decided I wanted to have fun too.
"Mason! Stop looking at me like that, and it's your turn I want to take a turn sitting and not turning for your own pleasure." He smirked up at me. Sitting on the chair was the only reason I seemed to be taller, that and my white platform sandals. He didn't have to look up far because he still towered over me. I wondered how tall he was.
He played with the rings on his finger. One in particular caught my eye it was silver and had a criss cross band and looked like it had the head of a serpent holding the green diamond. Mason was talking but all I heard was my own beating heart as I watched him play with the rings on his hand. Suddenly his ring covered hand reached out and pulled me by my throat down to him. He pressed his rings softly into the side of my neck.
"Mama's we have plenty of time for you to admire my hands. Actually I plan on it, but please listen to me, it's reached the early hours and the mall will be open soon. Let's go grab breakfast and I'll take you home." I blinked out of my trance. Early hours? God how long had we been here, how long was I parading around an empty mall showing off outfits?
"Okay I'll start putting some of these outfits back." I broke away from his grasp as I gathered articles of clothing into my hands.
"No need we're taking them all."
"Mason..."
"Come on princess you need some clothes that are casual and not either a stuck up receptionist or an exotic dancer."
"Fine, but how will I pay there isn't anyone here."
"Leave that to me darling." I rolled my eyes but allowed him to grab the clothing from my hands and place it into black bags. He did not offer them back to me to carry instead he took all three bags in one hand and grabbed my hand with his other free one.
"Do you really think I'm stuck up?"
"Of course not, you're the cutest receptionists I've ever seen and so blushy too." I blushed at his comment.
"Shutup." I mumbled and sank into the side of him.

We sat in a red booth right at the front of a diner. One that reminded me of watching Riverdale in the early seasons. There was chipping paint that formed the name on the front window. "Karla's Diner" it read. The sun had started to rise and the sunset was absolutely breathtaking as I watched it. It had started to drizzle so the morning dew was fresh and made the air smell like spring. I inhaled and stared back down at my sticky menu.
It had been so long since I was at a restaurant that was not high class and fancy. And I felt right at home in my white sundress. It was the last outfit I tried on in the mall. I think it was Masons favorite. He liked to play with the bottom hem of it and twirl it around his fingers.
"What are you going to get Mason?" I was trying to make small talk since we had been silent since we sat down.
"A coffee and an omelette. You?"
"Hmm I think I'm going to get a strawberry lemonade with a bacon skillet, light on the eggs."
"Cute." I stuck my tongue out at him, wow I had become so childish since hanging out with him. I think I really was starting to become sick.
Our waitress came over in a red apron tied around her waist and two pens stuck in her light brown bun at the top of her head. She wore a huge smile and red lipstick as she stared down Mason. I felt a pang of jealousy in my gut. I turned towards the window to take some labored breaths.
Mason on the other hand seemed to not even realize because he was trying to play footsie with me under the table. But his face was hard and serious. He gathered up our menus and lay them at the edge of the table.
"I will take a black coffee, and an omelette no mushrooms. My girlfriend will take a strawberry lemonade with a bacon skillet, light on the eggs." Without another word he reached his hand out to touch my face, I'm sure it was burning red as i was trying to ignore the word he just used.
"Hey princess are you still on earth with me." I turned to see that the waitress was gone and we were alone again. My ears were hot and I had slammed my legs together from friction. My feet were no longer entangled in Masons but my eyes were lost in his.
"You called me your girlfriend."
"Had to get that waitress away from us somehow." I shrugged my shoulders. So it didn't mean anything. Part of me wished he would have just not answered so I could keep on living in this bubble I had formed. A bubble all about Mason.
