Those two months of summer were the best ever.

Taehyung and Seokjin spent everyday together for 2 months straight.

They went to all their childhood spots together. Taehyung's camera was always with them, since wanted to capture every moment they had together.

They went to the community pool in which they learned how to swim.

They went to the park where their hiding spot is.

They went to the beach where their families would always go during the summer. This year they also went and both families enjoyed each other's presence, like always.

They even made new memories.

They went to a café. That café now holds a special place. This café in specific was one that had art supplies and you could paint,draw etc. The decor around the café were drawings made from previous customers. It was unique.

In that café, Taehyung taught Seokjin how to paint.

Taehyung has always been an amazing artist. Seokjin knew that and had always wanted the younger to teach him.

They had painted together until Seokjin could get the hang of it.

In the end, they made paintings for eachother to keep.

This café now keeps a special place in their hearts.

Now,Taehyung had gotten creative and even made a scrapbook with all the pictures they took as a gift for Seokjin.

He had taken all the pictures he took and put them together in a book. Each section of the book meant a different chapter in their lives.

They had a childhood section. He put pictures from when they were little. They had many since their moms also wanted to keep memories of them. They had all 7 years of their elementary school life, ending with them promoting onto 7th grade.

Then came the most recent, the middle school section. In this one they had pictures with one other friend. His name was Namjoon. They had been friends for a year before he had to move schools.

For their high school section, he had decided to add the pictures from this summer. He added many since he had gone a little overboard but, can you blame him? He wanted to capture all the moments they had. (and maybe wanted to have an excuse to always take pictures of his Jinnie) .

He left a big space so that they can continue on with the scrapbook when they reunite because ofcourse, they are going to meet again. Taehyung will never let Seokjin go. He's known him his whole life, he won't be able to survive without him.

Taehyung finishes the scrapbook and looks at it in awe. He's amazed he actually came up with such a good idea and happy he put so much effort into it because it's what his Jinnie deserves.

The next morning, Seokjin was leaving. It still hurt Taehyung's heart, but he had more hope as Jinnie has promised him that he would come back.

—THE NEXT DAY—

Seokjin and his family finished packing everything the night before. They wanted their last day to be calm without the stress of worrying about moving everything.

He was now in his room waiting for Taehyung to come over. He had a small couch in his room, which was the last thing they needed to load into the moving truck.

As he was fiddling with the present he got Taehyung, he heard a knock on his door. He quickly put the box away in it's bag and hid it behind the couch.

He cleaned his sweaty hands on his jeans and opened the door. He opens the door, revealing Taehyung with a boxy smile on his face. Seokjin widely smiles back.

"Come in Taehyungie" he says.

Taehyung nods and walks in. He also has a bag with him. He sits down on the couch with a sigh.

"I guess..today's the day.", he says looking up as Seokjin sits next to him. Seokjin sighs.

"Yeah..summer went by so fast. Sadly,time always passes by faster when you're having a good time." he smiles sadly.

Taehyung nods. "Yeah. Atleast we lived it up to the fullest, you know? We even made new memories together. Ah! I brought you something!" he says excitedly.

He reaches for the bag he brought and pulls out the scrapbook. Seokjin gasps when he sees it.

The cover had pictures of them together with the words,

" Kim Taehyung and Kim Seokjin together forever
best friends for life
1992-infinity"

on it.

Taehyung hands it over to Seokjin.
"Here. I..uh..got inspired because i wanted you to have something to keep from me while you were away. I was amazed that i had the capability of making something like this. I hope you like it-"

Taehyung stops talking as Seokjin hugs him tightly. He already has tears coming out of his eyes.

"Of course Taehyungie! I love it! I can't believe you made it yourself. Although i can since you're an amazing person. Thank you so much TaeTae!", Seokjin says as he hugs him.

Taehyung smiles and hugs him back tightly.
"I'm glad you like it Jinnie."

Seokjin pulls away.
"I got you something too Taehyungie!" He says. He gets the bag from behind the couch. He takes out the little box and hands it over to Taehyung with a giddy smile on his face.

Taehyung takes the box and opens it. He gasps as he sees a silver bracelet in it. He takes out the bracelet and admires it. It's simple but beautiful.

"I got you this bracelet Taehyungie and i want you to wear it since i'm not going to be here. I wanted to give it to you so you have something to remember me by. I also got one since it's like couple bracelets but it's okay. I hope you like it Tae", Seokjin says as he shows Taehyung his wrist. He is already wearing the bracelet.

Taehyung puts the bracelet on while tears are rolling down his cheeks. He grabs Seokjin's hand and intertwines them together.

"I love it Jinnie. How can I ever forget you? We're soulmates. Even if i attempted to forget you, I know i wouldn't be able to and I would always come back for you. Thank you Jinnie."

He pulls Seokjin's hand and pulls him closer. He gives him a tight hug as they're now both crying together.

They knew it would be hard to say goodbye but they had tried not to think about it. Now though, it was the day. Their last few minutes together.

They stay hugging for long minutes, being in each other's arms as long as they can.

"Seokjin baby, it's time to go" Mrs.Kim says as she enters into the room. Her heart hurts as she sees Taehyung and Seokjin hugging. She loves Taehyung as a son as well.

The pair slowly lets go of eachother and get up from the couch. They grab their belongings and walk out of the house.

This house has always been part of their memories. Seokjin learned how to ride a bicycle here. All of his birthday parties were celebrated here.

He also sadly had to let go of his pet sugar gliders and dog here. This house will definitely always have a place in their hearts. They experienced a lot of situations and emotions here.

The family puts their last things into the car and shut the trunk. Seokjin's parents hug and say goodbye to Taehyung, leaving him and Seokjin alone.

Seokjin grabs Tahyung's hands and intertwines their fingers together.

"Taehyungie, I hope you make a new friend while i'm away. I promise i will come back as soon as i can. I hope you enjoy your life while i'm gone. please don't be sad okay? I will come back and we will be together again. Please wait for me" Seokjin says, his eyes watery.

Taehyung nods' "Of course i'll wait for you Jinnie. I'll admit i will miss you and hopefully time passes by quickly and we see eachother soon. I'll try to make friends, only if you make some too. Just know they'll never be more special to me than you,okay?" he says, also tearing up.

Seokjin giggles, "Yes Tahyungie, i know. I promise i'll make a friend okay."

Taehyung nods, he brings Seokjin closer and hugs him tightly. They hug eachother for a few minutes, before separating when Mrs.Kim tells Seokjin they will be late for their flight if they don't hurry.

Seokjin says "okay eomma" to his mother and turns to Taehyung again. He brings his hand up and settles it onto Taehyung's check. He feels the soft skin as Taehyung leans into the embrace.

Seokjin gets closer and gives Taehyung a kiss on the cheek. Taehyung freezes and Seokjin giggles when he sees his cheeks turn red.

Taehyung clears his throat.
"Okay now you have to come back because i want a kiss somewhere else, hmm." He says with a smirk.

Seokjin blushes and looks down.
"Alright Taehyungie"

Seokjin sighs, his tears finally come out from his eyes like a fountain. "Well,I have to go now Taehyungie. I will see you later."

Taehyung sighs and gives Seokjin a sad smile, tears coming from his eyes too. He grabs Seokjin's right hand.
"I'll see you later Jinnie."

Seokjin nods and slowly lets go of Taehyung's hand. He walks away from him and gets into the car. He buckles in his seatbelt and slides down his window. He smiles and sticks his hand out while waving until Taehyung is out of sight.

Taehyung chuckles and waves back. When Seokjin is out of sight, he wipes away his tears and sighs. He begins walking home slowly.

Seokjin pulls his hand back inside and slides the window back up. He wipes away his tears and leans his head against the window, looking at his beautiful neighborhood once again.

They will now have to learn how to live without eachother. Without a person who has always been there. Even though it's not forever, they will always long for eachother if they're not together. They are going to miss out on their high school years together.

Although, they will always be best friends. They will for a way back to eachother and they will be together again.

Right?
