Chapter 6

(So, good news! I'm not dead! Sorry for not updating in a year. GET IT?! Ah, anyways, lame jokes aside, the reason why I did not update is that, well, uh, I had no motivation :D. Yeah, I'm not gonna make some stupid excuse. But keep in mind, I do have school and homework, like you all! I've just been busy.)

~Darkstalker~

A bright light blinded his vision. He clenched his talons with fear, wondering if he was about to die, and then reminded himself it was impossible for him to die.

Suddenly he felt himself in the air. The rush of wind touched his scales, and he could hear the noisy rustling it created. Without any warning, he suddenly dropped to the ground with aching scales. The soft tapping of someone's talon steps and the weirdly familiar smell of scrolls jerked him awake.

Darkstalker forced his eyelids open and smiled at what he saw. There was a beautiful NightWing, with gleaming and sleek black scales, and mesmerizing dark purple eyes. The NightWing wore a tired yet curious expression. She squinted her eyes, and although she knew the dragon- or because of Darkstalker's latest enchantment, there was something about the hybrid dragonet that was telling the NightWing something was wrong.

"Clearsight.." Darkstalker breathed, taking in the familiar scent of scrolls that always seemed to surround her.

Clearsight tilted her head and looked at Darktstalker strangely. "Alright." She demanded, highly concerned. "First of all, why are you in my house, Darkstalker? Second of all, would you prefer to come in the normal way, instead of falling from the sky out of nowhere?"

I think Fathom might be right... Darkstalker is using too much of his animus magic for useless things. She thought with genuine concern.

Darkstalker rolled his eyes behind Clearsight's back, a little exasperated. He brushed the feeling away and smiled a little bit. Even if Clearsight was slightly annoying, he was so glad to hear the sound of her voice and the concern that was always in her head. "My love, I've waited so long to see you!" He said, nuzzling her snout with over-flowing affection.

Clearsight laughed, "Darkstalker, it's only been a few hours!" She exclaimed although she nudged him back with the same amount of affection.

You have no idea how long it has been for me, my dear. He thought with a small chuckle. "Anyways, Clearsight, I-I have a favor to ask you." He said, glancing around, wondering how he should ask the NightWing to come back to the future Pyrrhia with him.

Clearsight looked at him and yawned. "Right now? It's in the middle of the morning!" She exclaimed, pointing at the bright sun.

Darkstalker chuckled and nuzzled her snout with affection, but his smile quickly turned into a frown as he realized time was short. It was only a matter of time before the real Darkstalker of this timeline arrived at Clearsight's house. "It's an emergency, my love," He insisted, nagging Clearsight until she finally let out a sigh and agreed.

"Alright. What do you want me to do?"

"I-It's an experiment." He answered swiftly. Darkstalker looked around and grabbed one of Clearsight's scattered bookmarks. He quickly muttered a spell. "Bring me back 2006 years later in King Darkstalker's palace.

Immediately the same bright light that had blinded him before flashed- but this time, instead of seeing Qibli, he saw someone else. Someone he had seen many times in the mirror and also someone he had dearly missed. Whiteout and Darkstalker himself- a much younger version of the course.

Before Darkstalker could double-check whether it was actually young Darkstalker or Whiteout, he felt himself in the air again, and suddenly he heard Qibli's voice again, followed by worried and quick talon steps. "Master Darkstalker? Are you alright? Did you fail to bring Clearsight- HOLY CAMEL DROOL!" He shrieked as he saw Clearsight.

Qibli double-checked and tried to stay calm. He bowed at Clearsight, and said politely, "Hello, Clearsight. I'm Qibli. It's a pleasure to meet you. Darkstalker has always been talking about you." He said with a sly grin.

Darkstalker blushed in embarrassment, but Clearsight didn't react. She had a confused face and looked at Darkstalker as if he was the only thing in the room. "D-darkstalker?" She whispered, extremely confused. Suddenly she shrieked, and Darkstalker saw the visions that flew into her head.

~Clearsight~

She didn't know what was happening. One moment, Darkstalker suddenly appeared in the early morning, and then the next second she was blinded by some abnormally bright light, and now she saw futures- it wasn't surprising of course- but it was futures that used to be so far that even she couldn't reach- at least it was before she was- well, wherever she is.

Darkstalker reached towards Clearsight, offering guidance. He grabbed ahold of Clearsight's talons and whispered reassuringly, "Don't worry. It'll all make sense soon. Just calm down."

"What have you done?!" Clearsight screamed. She had a pretty good idea what had happened, but she wanted to be proven wrong- no she DESPERATELY wanted it to be wrong.

Darkstalker had the audacity to look smug and proud. "Well, I took you to the future! Isn't this great?" He shouted happily, smiling.

"You what?!" Clearsight shrieked, and uncontrollable tears suddenly started streaming down her face. "This is bad. This is really, really bad. No, this isn't normal! What should I do? There is nothing I can do! Maybe the timeline wouldn't be TOO disrupted.. I wasn't really important was I? I'm sure I haven't done anything important in my original lifetime, right?"

"Relax, Clearsight! Look, the world didn't erupt into chaos right now, and well if anything did happen Pyrrhia doesn't know of it."

"Well, maybe Pyrrhia doesn't . . ." She muttered darkly to herself. But on that other Continent I've been having constant visions of may. Clearsight thought

"Darkstalker, why did you bring me here?!"

"So- so we could be together... Clearsight, you have no idea how long I've waited for this moment! I've been planning and planning and planning! Isn't that what you want? I-isn't it what we want? To live happily together and have Eclipse and the others?"

"I- I don't get it . . . we could have lived happily in the past as well! Why would you . . ." She trailed off and answered her own question. "No... don't tell me those futures actually came true. Darkstalker, what did you do?!" Clearsight rubbed her temples and thought of the terrible visions that had been in her head before. "Don't tell me all those things happened. Did I really leave you under Agate Mountain? Why are you still alive!?"

Darkstalker seemed genuinely hurt by what Clearsight said. "I thought you would be happy..."

"No, Darkstalker. You only thought of your own happiness. In fact, you never thought about me. Even when you're hundreds of years older than me, you are still not as wise." The NightWing said sharply, even as Darkstalker flinched and winced. "Darkstalker, don't you understand? You brought me here for your own happiness, and doing so, you stole my past."

"I'm never seeing my parents again. I'm never seeing Fathom, Indigo, Listener or even yourself from before this! And this is all because of you!" Clearsight screamed. She wanted to hold her tongue and she knew it would be wise, but her heart got the best of herself this time.

"Goodbye, Darkstalker," Clearsight said scornfully. She whirled around and spread her wings, getting ready to take flight to wherever her visions take her. She didn't really care where she went, but as long as it was far away from Darkstalker, she would be happy. Maybe she could find some other animus dragon to bring her back to the past. But for now, she'd be happy to find shelter.

Darkstalker suddenly grabbed Clearsight's tail and dragged her back onto the ground. "NO STOP. I won't let you go! If you don't love me right now, I'll make you love me!" He screamed, his eyes were desperate but his face twitched in anger.

Then, Darkstalker tried to enchant Clearsight, but then he saw the necklace on her- it was a Birthday present the Darkstalker from the past timeline had given Clearsight- a necklace that could never be taken away from her and makes the wearer and itself invulnerable to any sort of animus magic. So then Darkstalker grabbed Clearsight by the neck, choking her, and at the same time tried to force Clearsight into a kiss, but suddenly, Clearsight felt him go limp. The NightWing looked behind to see the SandWing- Qibli if she had remembered correctly.

Clearsight had almost forgotten about him. The SandWing had been glancing back and forth from Clearsight to Darkstalker, and not making even the slightest noise, but now he was her savior.

He looked extremely surprised, scared, and confused at what he had done. "Oh, no, no, no, no! What have I done!? Master, are you alright!? Why did I do that? I'm so stupid!" Qibli shrieked, rushing over to Darkstalker.

Clearsight panted for air and looked at her savior with grateful eyes. "Thank you... thank you so much." She said.

Suddenly, Qibli's frightened expression flickered to sympathy, "Don't worry 'bout it. Leave. Go now. I only knocked him out for a few hours. I'm not about to let another dragon fall under Darkstalker's control. One is more than enough." He said, gesturing at himself. And then his expression turned back to fear for his 'master'.

Qibli turned to see Clearsight and roared with anger, he pounced at her, but before he could, she twisted around at what seemed like the speed of light and ran to the overly big door, slamming it open and flying into the air. Qibli didn't take a moment to rest, flying after Clearsight.

He was stopped though as he saw Moonwatcher. She was grinning and probably on a night flight- another visit with Winter. His mind flared with anger at Winter this time- not Clearsight. Actually, Qibli seemed to have completely forgotten about Clearsight. He turned around and left, his tail barb flicked from left to right, dangerously.

Moonwatcher suddenly stopped when she saw the dark silhouette of Clearsight. "Wait- is that-" She suddenly screamed, dropping from the sky. Thankfully, she had not been high up, but while she fell, trees were underneath her. The branches tore through her scales, and the disgusting tang of blood filled her nose. Pain flared but that was the least of her worries.

Clearsight also had been in the air, although she had soon after taking a break to breathe.

The same vision appeared in both of the Nightwing's minds. They both had seen so many terrible visions, but no one expected to be hit with this one.

Darkstalker was sitting on a humongous and fancy throne with a sly smile on his face. To Clearsight's horror, she was sitting on Darkstalker's lap and had several bleeding wounds on her scales. Her face was tired, defeated, and she looked a lot older. Another NightWing was also beside Darkstalker. Another pretty NightWing with black scales and a small green tint was also sitting on a throne- although it was a lot less small and fancy.

Different kinds of dragons bowed down to Darkstalker. Most of them didn't look like they wanted to, but they seemed too hesitant to not. Some were just clearly afraid. There was a SkyWing with an ugly scarred face, a slimy-looking SeaWing, a big strong-looking NightWing, another NightWing with a frost-covered throat and neck, and a SandWing with black patterns running down her neck. There was a line of more innocent-looking dragons following

The two may not recognize who those dragons are, (although, I'm sure you guys do) but they do know they were in for a tough ride.
