~Sevvy Snape and Persassy Jackson~
Hi there. The character competition (or whatever you call it) is over. The name of the book has been changed to I.S.O.E. Sorry for the late update (O_O) (Really late) and I did promise to update, so here it is. Anywho, on with the story!
Hermione's P.O.V
"Drake?" Thalia asked, looking shocked. (LOL, get it? Shocked? Sorry)
"Thalia? Nico?" He asked, a smile spreading across his face.
"Hello Draco." Harry said coldly and for once, Draco ignored him. Thalia and Nico gave Harry a questioning look then turned back to Draco.
"Draco?" Thalia asked. Percy quickly pulled them away, talking rapidly to them. I strained my ears to hear them, but I still couldn't hear them. Draco, Nico and Thalia nodded.
"What did you just talk about?" Harry demanded when they walked back towards us. Draco just shrugged and walked away to Crabbe and Goyle.
"What were you just talking about?" Harry demanded again. Percy, Nico and Thalia just shrugged and went to sit down at an empty space.
"Okay, what is up with them? Walking in here like they own the place!" Harry growled as he took his seat. I sent him a shocked glance.
"Why are you being so rude?" I hissed under my breath as Professor Snape walked in. Harry ignored me, pulling out his books.
"Today you will be making the Felix Felicis potion. Whoever makes it the best may keep a small vial of it." Snape told the class, looking disdainfully around. I noticed that his eyes lingered on the three new students and the corners of his mouth turned up in a small smile. But then he continued looking around, scowling once again. I turned my confused gaze to Thalia Nico and Percy. They were all smiling lightly, a knowing glint that I hated in their eyes.
"Why did Snape smile at them?" I whispered. Ron and Harry shrugged. Snape cleared his throat and I looked up guiltily, to find him frowning at me. I ignored Nico's and Draco's snickers and Percy soft laugh, and got started on my potion.
I felt my cheeks flush from embarrassment.
"I expected more from you, Granger." Professor Snape sneered, peering into my cauldron at my failed attempt of the Felix Felicis potion. He moved on, after sneering at both Harry and Ron's attempts as well. (Harry doesn't have the Half-Blood Prince's book) He moved on to Nico, Percy and Thalia. He peered into their cauldrons, a smile flitting to his face.
"You've done it perfectly." He praised them, causing them to grin at each other. "Ten points to each of you for Gryffindor." He said simply and moved away. I felt my mouth drop open.
"They... what...?" I gaped at them, while Harry glared. "How...?" The lesson ended, and surprisingly enough, Snape didn't give homework. Thalia, Percy and Nico were the last out of the class. I waited for them at the door.
"Thanks for the points," Percy called over his shoulder, a grin on his face as he added, "Sevvy." I wanted to gasp in shock. Did he seriously just call Snape Sevvy?
"Jackson, don't you dare start calling me that again." Severus simply replied.
"Wait, he didn't yell at you? What-Again? Why did he say again?" I shot questions at him as they walked out.
"Let's just say we know each other from way back." Percy answered simply.
"Oh. Well how-"
"Hermione! Come on!" Harry interupted. I sent Thalia, Nico and Percy an apologising glance and walked over to Harry and Ron. "About time." Harry scowled.
"Okay, what is your problem?" I demanded, glaring at him.
"What?" He asked, taken aback.
"Why are you so rude towards Thalia, Percy and Nico?"
"Are you kidding me? They're trying to take over my school-"
"Your school?" I narrowed my eyes at him. "Are you kidding me? You're not the king of this school, Harry. I think your ego has gotten way too big for your own good. Come talk to me again when you're ready to apologise to me, and to them." I stormed away from them, angry.
How dare he? Ugh. Boys are so annoying and pigheaded sometimes.
"Hey. Are you okay?" Percy's voice came. I looked up to see him and Thalia staring at me.
"Oh, I'm fine. Do you mind if I walk with you?" I asked with a small smile. He smiled warmly.
"Not at all. So Muggle Studies next, right?" She felt grateful that he didn't push her for more answers.
"Yeah, and then Lunch. Oh, where's Nico?" I asked, noticing his absence.
"He went to go speak with someone. It's not really of importance." He shrugged with a grin. "Now come on. I don't want to be late again."
"Why do we need to know these things?" Percy groaned, looking at his cousin. "We were raised by mor-muggles. We already know all this." Nico shrugged while Thalia nodded in agreement.
"I was raised by muggles too. So I know this stuff too." I shrugged.
"Oh please. You always know everything about everything." Percy chuckled softly, making me blush.
"Oh, please." The bell rang and everyone rushed out of the class. I felt someone staring at me and when I looked around, I saw Ron and Harry quickly look away and pretend to talk about something. I rolled my eyes and turned back to the three cousins, who were arguing about something. "Ah, jeez. What are you arguing about now?" I asked, amused.
"Where to go during Lunch. I want to go to the lake, but the others want to go into the Forbidden Forest." Percy said simply, causing my jaw to drop open.
"The Forbidden Forest? B-But it's-"
"Forbidden?" Nico answered for me. "Dumbledor himself told us we're allowed to go in there. So not for us. Or anyone who comes with us. So you're welcome to join us if you want." I frowned.
"Are you sure you want to? There are Centaurs and giant spiders-"
"'Mione, it's nothing to worry about. We can handle ourselves, I promise you." Percy promised with a reassuring smile. I chewed on my lip for a moment.
"A-All right, if Dumbledor said it's okay... then okay." I finally said.
"Yay, let's go." Thalia pulled me along, the Nico and Percy following behind. I could tell without even looking that Harry was glaring in our direction.
"So... why do you even want to go out there?" I asked as we exited the school.
"We like to... er, let's just say keep our skills sharp." Percy answered vaguely. "You'll see what I mean."
"Oh, okay." I was still wary when we entered the forest, but the others seemed to be completely at ease and care free. I saw Thalia and Nico hanging back slightly, whispering to each other.
"What are they whispering about?" I asked Percy. He rolled his eyes, but still smiled.
"They're planning to gang up against me. They always do." I tilted my head.
"Gang up? Are you going to do a wizard duel?" I asked.
"Uh... something like that, except less wizard." Percy answered vaguely again.
"Less wizard? So... just a duel...?" I asked uncertainly. He nodded with a smile.
"Exactly." I frowned in confusion.
"O-Okay..." After another few minutes of walking, we stopped in a clearing.
"You can just sit wherever and watch us." Thalia said, tapping the bracelet on her arm. I yelped when a large shield appeared, the face of the Greek mythological creature Medusa hissing from it. When I looked at the others, I saw a long black sword in Nico's hand and Percy was holding a plain ballpoint pen. He uncapped it, and it transformed into a bronze sword. I blinked quickly.
"W-Why do you have weapons?!" I demanded. Percy gave me a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, they're only for emergencies." He assured me.
"And for practice." Nico added.
"Relax, we won't harm you." Thalia put in, now holding a spear that was crackling with electricity.
"Are you... are you going to fight each other?" I asked meekly, watching as they stared each other down, weapons in hand.
"Yep." Nico answered. He slowly started circling behind Percy, trying to get him trapped between him and Thalia.
"With real weapons?" I asked again.
"Yep." This time Thalia answered, her eyes narrowed as she warily took a step towards Percy.
"Won't you guys get injured?"
"Yep." Percy answered, slowly turning around, his eyes flicking between his two cousins.
"Oh... okay..."
Thalia tested Percy with a quick jab of her spear, but he easily deflected it with a flick of his wrist. Sparks clashed between the two metals for a moment before Thalia pulled away again. She and Nico circled Percy slowly.
"Why do you always gang up against me?" Percy sighed in exasperation.
"Because you're the better fighter. Plus, it's fun." He rolled his eyes at Nico's answer, before ducking under Thalia's spear as it swung past his head. He parried Nico's attack, dodging away from Thalia's long weapon. Hermione watched in slight awe as they fought each other, almost a blur of weapons. Percy kicked Nico away, trying to get some distance between them. He twisted to the side, barely missing the crackling spear that was thrust at his stomach, then responded with a lunge. Thalia raised her shield, his sword deflecting off of it, before he twisted around her and slashed at her exposed back. She gasped as she stumbled forward. I could see blood trickle down her back. Nico lashed at him, somehow behind him now. Percy tried to dodge the blow, but the black blade hit his sword arm, slicing open a large gash. He hissed in pain, backing away as Nico and Thalia regrouped. Blood dripped down his arm and onto his hand, and I could see him struggling to keep a grip with the blood over the hilt and his hand. Thalia lunged forward with her shield with the intent of bowling him over. He dropped to the ground and with a startled gasp, she tripped over him, landing on the ground. When she looked up, she saw a bronze sword pointed at her throat.
"All right, all right. I yield." She sighed, climbing back to her feet and transforming her weapons again. Percy and Nico circled each other, before jumping together in a clash of blades. I barely noticed when Thalia sat down next to me, I was too focused on the fight. This fight ended with Nico on the ground, Percy having just Judo flipped him. He gasped for breath, winded.
"I-I yield." He breathed. Percy helped him up again with a victorious smirk. "That was new." Nico stated, dusting off the dirt from his clothes.
"Annabeth taught it to me." He shrugged.
"Of course she did." Thalia chuckled. Percy glanced at the watch on his wrist.
"Classes start in a few minutes. We should get going." He dug in his bag, bringing out a square of something I could identify. He split it into three, tossing two of them to his cousins. They ate it without question and I watched in both shock and awe as their wounds slowly healed up.
"W-What is that? It's incredible." I said, fascinated by it.
"We uh, call it Ambrosia. It's an inside joke. It basically heals minor wounds and it tastes different each time, which is a bonus." He shrugged.
"Wow, how is it made?" Percy, Thalia and Nico exchanged questioning glances.
"You know what? I actually don't know." Nico laughed while Thalia snickered. "Now let's get going, before we're late."
