CHAPTER ONE: The taking

ATLAS CAMDEM HAD BEEN IN THIS WORLD, FOR TEN YEARS. The second year was when he met Jack O'Malley. He has been on a mission, one that required for him to hunt down 'The Wolf'. Atlas had been sent to kill Jack, but once having done his research, and find Jack, he realized that everything he had been told was a lie. The man was a hacker, sure he had some skills in fighting.   Could put someone in the hospital, but, not to the point of death. That's what Atlas has been told. That Jack O'Malley had killed someone.

And when Atlas discovered it was a lie, he when back to the man who hired him and killed him. He didn't like liars.

Still, one of the times that Atlas had bene watching Jack, the man figured it out. It lead to a fight, which ended with Jack pinned to the ground, only a few bruises, much less that the amount that he should have. Considering he should have been dead, or at the very least, in a full body cast. Or in a coma.

Atlas explained it all.

They had began to spend more time together. Atlas would help Jack on missions. They knew everything about the other. Or almost everything. Jack wasn't aware of where Atlas came from, or that he was a death Merc. He had thought that Atlas was simply someone sent to scare him.

Atlas never told Jack he was sent there to kill him.

By the year five, was when they had began to date. Atlas had made the first move, during one of thier many movie nights, after Atlas came to Jack's house to de-stress from his job. (Which Jack had believed was him being a body guard/bouncer.) Jack had been rambling about the job he had been hired on (something he wasn't supposed to talk about. But how would the person know?).

Atlas always found Jack handsome, he thought, that he was one of the better humans, compared to those who were around him.  Then again, Atlas was surrounded by serial killers, and people who hired him, so, they themselves wouldn't be a serial killer. 

Atlas found it cute when Jack rambled like he did. The two had been seated in the couch. A movie that neither of them were actually paying attention to.

Atlas had acted without thought and had kissed Jack. Jack had sat momentarily frozen, Atlas bolted up, realizing what he had done and ran out the door before Jack could kiss him back. Jack and called out to him, ran after him. But Atlas was gone.

Jack tracked Atlas down the next day, after searchinb his hour and not seeing him there, he checked the city. And finally, just decided to track him down. and the second Jack opened the door, with an apology on his lips,  Jack's lips were on his instead.

Since then, the two had began to date.  They had met ten years ago, and started dating two years ago.  And, even though it was difficult to know each other's schedule, considering job's randomly come up. They managed to know a schedule enough.

Atlas hadn't told Jack that he would going to be home early. That the job was finished a day early. He wanted to surprise the other man. He had stopped at their favorite place to eat.

As Atlas walked the street of where Jack lived, he felt something was off. And as he walked up the step, seen a pair of keys on the stairs, he picked it up. They were Jack's keys.

Immediately he dropped the food and gift in his hand, running up the stairs, and headed towards Jack's place. The door was wide open, and the place was a mess. There was a fight. A struggle before who had taken Jack, succeeded in doing so.

Atlas began to search the property, pausing when finding a gun-shaped weapon. He lifted it up, face shifting into anger. He hadn't returned to the place. To any of the places. And still, they came after someone he cared about. One of the only people he cared about.

Atlas took the gun, slamming the door closed before quickly running down the steps.

He had to find out where M.O.R.A was. And get Jack back. And make M.O.R.A ever regret coming to his life.
