Chapter Five

Our third day in Korea was as splendid as it is.

We had the whole day to ourselves.

The three of us had our breakfast at seven thirty in the morning instead of our usual six am since today is our free day.

We have Myeongdong Cathedral, Dongdaemun Plaza and Myeongdong Market in the evening today.

After our thirty minute breakfast, we went to our rooms to catch up an hour more of sleep and meet at the hallway by nine in the morning to go to our target places.

As soon as I woke up from a thirty minute nap, I changed into my haltered aqua blue above-the-knee  dress over a comfortable black leggings.

I also have my navy blue pea coat with me since it's going to be cold tonight while we are on the road.

I made sure to check my backpack again if I have my passport, money and my fully-charged cellphone with me.

Once done, I applied on my coral fever shade of lipstick from Avon.

When satisfied, I pulled out my phone and messaged the girls that I am ready.

I was about to lock the door when Crystal unexpectedly enveloped me with a hug.

"Hello sis! Did you have a nice sleep?" Crystal asked in her usual perky voice.

"Hello to you too." I answered and checked my door again. "Yes, I had. And how about you, two?"

Crystal was about to open her mouth to answer but Crimson shut her off and linked her right arm with me while Crystal linked her left arm with mine.

It now appears that I am between them as if I have two kids with me.

"Crys was too stubborn and did not bother to turn off the lights. I wasn't able to catch up on sleep." Crimson rolled her eyes.

I chuckled lightly as we headed to the elevator.

"So, should we go to Myeongdong Cathedral first?" I asked while we wait for the elevator to reach the ground floor.

Both nodded and we went to the concierge to ask for directions to the places we plan to go to throughout the day.

Since we are too tired to look for the bus or train, we hailed a cab and have the driver take us to the Cathedral.

And, we got there after an hour.

The Myeongdong Cathedral was so beautiful and so peaceful to look at.

We went inside and said our prayers.

I said a silent wish since it's my first time in this Church.

It was said that if you utter a silent wish on every Church you first gotten into, it will come true.

It doesn't hurt to do so, so every time that I went to some Church for the first time, I always utter a wish.

So far, two of them came true.

What were they?

Secret!

After about twenty minutes inside, we went out and snap a couple of pictures.

We were able to observe silence to keep the solemnity and to give respect to the place.

After doing so, we looked for some restaurant and decided to have lunch.

Shortly, we went to Dongdaemun Plaza and strolled over to the Kakao Store and did some window shopping and some photo ops until evening.

When we got hungry, we went inside the Lotte Mall and had our dinner at Abiko Curry and indulged ourselves with a pork cutlet and a cup of rice.

Afterwards, we went to Myeongdeong Night Market to shop for more souvenirs and tried on some street foods.

It was such a calming day but the weather is so cold.

The temperature dropped to 6° that night.

We almost thought that we could not make it, but thankfully, we survived the cold climate.
--

The moment we returned to our hotel rooms, I video called my parents again and charged my phone after.

I took a quick shower and arranged my luggage since we'll be coming home tomorrow after our last tour.

We'll head straight to the airport and fly back home by midnight.

Come morning, I chose to wear black jeggings instead and a butterfly sleeved red blouse paired with grey biker boots.

I had my grey car coat with me so I'm not worried if it gets cold by evening later on as we proceed to the airport.

First stop today was the Gyeongbukgong Palace.

We also had the chance to experience hanbok and be koreans for the meantime.

Once done for an hour inside, we went to the Presidential Blue House and stayed outside for viewing only for thirty minutes for quick photo ops.

Then, we had our lunch before going to the Ginseng Shop and Red Pine Factory respectively.

We had our dinner then headed to the airport after as we get ready to fly back home.

Cloud assisted us until we have boarded the plane.

And, as expected, the three of us were seated beside each other again.

But, with a happy heart this time.

We even have our group selfie before our plane took off.

It was indeed a trip to remember!
