What Amaad had done to her is unforgivable. He had ruined her childhood, her teen days. His act had changed a happy Eifad to a dark one from where Farhan and others had to pull her out.

But now, she is out of it. The damage that was done is partly repaired, also Amaad is dying. Is it

fair to hold grudges against a dying man? Eifad thought.

By holding grudges can she rectify the evil deed that he did to her? Eifad is still haunted by his eyes, his smile, his touch, and the gruesome act, but she has recovered a little. What should she do? Amaad kept looking at her hopefully.

'I forgive you, Amaad.' She said finally.

'Thank...you...Eif...' but before he could complete his sentence she interrupted him.

'Whatever happened in the past can't be changed. What you did to me, Amaad, can't be changed. You might have been an evil person but I am not. I am not heartless, Amaad. The least I can do is give you a peaceful death. I forgive you for everything...' Eifad said with a straight face. Amaad looked at her with tear filled eyes. Eifad gave him one final look and walked away. Outside she dashed into Farhan who gave her a proud smile.

'I am proud of you, Eifad.' Farhan said as the two walked towards the canteen. Eifad looked at him and he smiled at her.

'To forgive someone you need a big heart.' He said. Eifad nodded looking away, she sighed

'Amaad's condition is pathetic. Look at him, alone and withering, dying a slow painful death. Can you imagine how excruciating it must be for him to just lie there and wait for death? Seeing all this, I realized I forgive him, at least before he dies he has a happy smile.' She said looking down the whole time.

Farhan placed his palm on her shoulder, 'That is why I am proud of you, Eifad.' She looked at him

and he went on, 'Eifad, you have gone through so much in life. Your past, Shad, the recent sexual harassment case but you didn't flicker, not even once. You stayed strong with your head held high. You also manage such a huge empire on your own, you adopted a girl, gave her shelter, food and love. You are an inspiration, Eifad. Not only for women but to men as well. To me, you are my superhero.' Farhan patted her shoulder, his voice ringing with pride. Eifad felt emotional.

'Farhan,' she stopped and clasped his palm in between hers. 'I want to tell you something.'

He nodded listening intently. Eifad stared into his eyes and said, 'I love you.'

Farhan looked visibly shocked, she smiled, 'I would have flickered Farhan, perhaps never ever come out of that dark phase in my life had you not been a part of my life. Farhan, you always stood by me, loved me, cared for me and over time I realized that I love you too.'

Farhan blinked at her before holding her face in between his palms, 'Oh, Eifad! You have no idea how happy you have made me today.' He said kissing her forehead. Eifad smiled closing her eyes.

'I love you, Eifad.' He said

Eifad opened her eyes and smiled, 'I love you too, Farhan.'

Farhan leaned forward to kiss her but Eifad leaned back, 'Are you mad? This is your hospital.' She said blushing.

'I don't care.' He whispered and leaned forward placing his lips over hers. Eifad smiled reciprocating to the kiss. They kissed softly for a while before parting away.

Farhan smiled widely and engulfed her in a tight embrace, Eifad closed her eyes hugging him back.
