Next morning, Eifad woke up first and found herself seated on the floor half her body resting against the edge of the bed. She looked to her side, Shad slept peacefully in the same position as her. There is an empty wine bottle and their glass toppled down. Eifad recollected last night. They had decided to sit on the floor, resting against the edge of the bed the two had talked some more and slept off.

Eifad smiled looking at him. She extended her hand and placed her palm on his cheek. Caressing it gently, she moved her palm and closed his half open mouth.

She shifted little closer and admired him for a while before standing up. She wobbled little as she walked into the washroom.

'Good morning.' Shad is startled on hearing Eifad's voice. He had just woken up and looked around dazed. He rubbed his eyes and saw a clearer version of Eifad.

He sat up straight leaning against the bed rest.

'Good morning.' He smiled at her

Eifad stood dressed in black and white stripe pencil dress with elbow length sleeves. Shad smiled watching her comb her short hair.

He stood up and walked towards her, Eifad looked at his reflection briefly before focusing on applying her red lipstick.

'Thanks, Eifu for forgiving me.' Shad said. Eifad turned to face him.

'We have the conference in one hour, go get ready.' She said with a straight face. Shad smiled, he leaned forward and hugged her. Eifad took a second to hug him back.

Shad separated their frames, he moved few strands of hair off her face tugging it behind her ear. He smiled at her.

'See you, Eifu.' Shad said kissing her forehead. Eifad closed her eyes.

'Bye' He murmured against her forehead. They parted. Eifad watched him walk out of the room, a sad smile appeared on her lips.

Eifad is happy, as tomorrow she will be back in Delhi but also little disappointed because she will be separated from Shad. Eifad felt a mix of emotions. And just like that half, the day of Sunday passed. Eifad had time to be with Shad only during lunch when they chose to be with each other rather than their staff members.

'Eifad, you hadn't come last night but tonight you should. For me.' Shad insisted Eifad to join them for the socializing event in the evening. Eifad agreed because she had wanted to spend time with Shad and not for socializing, drinking and especially not dancing.

Later that night, Eifad dressed into a nude and red floor length evening gown with jewel neckline and a hollow back. She combed and curled her hair. Red lipstick, kohl, eyeliner, and her makeup was done. Eifad touched her bare neck and regretted not wearing the gift Shad had given her.

As she applied her cologne there is a doorbell.

'Coming.' Eifad called and wore her high heels. She opened the door and Shad beamed from the other side. He wore an off-white shirt, blazer, and black trousers.

'Hey, Looking beautiful Eifu.' He complimented. Eifad smiled acknowledging his compliment.

Once they stepped out of the elevator Shad stuck out his arm, Eifad looked at him and then at his arm for a second before entangling her arm with his. As they walked towards the venue, Eifad had her eyes stuck on him while Shad looked ahead.

'Wow, Maam. You are looking gorgeous.' Kiran complimented happily. Eifad smiled. She looked at her, dressed in an Ink blue Anarkali and with a loose fish tail braid, Kiran was looking stunning herself.

'You look amazing too.' Eifad complimented her. Kiran blushed thanking her.

'By the way, Kiran meet Dr. Shad my best friend and Shad meet Dr. Kiran she is an intern at my hospital. Very intelligent.' Eifad introduced the two.

'Oh! Nice to meet you, Kiran.' Shad extended his hand. Eifad noticed Kiran eyes twinkle looking at his dimple briefly. They shook hands.

Shad and Imran also caught up, while Eifad mingled with other high-profile doctors and CEOs but she kept glancing at Shad. Once or twice their gaze met and they passed each other a smile.

After some time, Shad came to her and asked for a dance and Eifad couldn't refuse. He forwarded his hand and she took it.

Once at the dance floor, Shad held her waist with one hand and clasped her palm with the other.

'Feels like ages, Eifu. It feels amazing.' Shad said as the two moved slowly to the soft tune being played by the orchestra.
'Hmmm...' Eifad said in a daze. This is going to be their final dance perhaps unless destiny brings them back together. Eifad wants to cherish this moment forever. A dance with her best friend, the man who is her first love. Eifad looked down for a minute.

Yes, she loves Farhan, truly and sincerely. But the truth remains that Shad was her first love and no one can take that place in her heart. First love is always special but first love doesn't mean it is true love. Indeed, Shad is her first love but Farhan, he is her true love. The two men, Shad, and Farhan, both are special to her and both have their individual place in her heart.

Eifad looked up again, her gaze met Shad's and they smiled at each other.

'Rhea hasn't come.' Eifad asked after a while. Shad shook his head. Eifad noticed his cheeks turning red. When she raised her eyebrows, he said, 'She is five months pregnant.'

'Oh!' Eifad looked away feeling uneasy. She then quickly looked at him.

'Three kids, I am amazed, Shad.' She attempted to lighten the mood. Shad blushed and twirled her around, and with her back pressed against his chest they moved to the tune

'I am amazed at myself too.' He chuckled.

'I guess, three kids will be more than enough. Here one Zara is hard to manage.' Eifad smiled

Shad laughed turning her around and once again they face each other.

'Yes.' Shad said

Eifad smiled at him, leaning forward she rested her head on his shoulder wrapping her arms around his waist. Shad wrapped his arm loosely around her waist and rested his head against hers. He closed his eyes.

They danced very slowly to the tune. Eifad felt her eyes sting with tears, she closed her eyes and a lone tear escaped her right eye.
