'So, tomorrow is the big day, are you nervous?' Farhan asked once he had settled with the laptop. Eifad bit her lower-lip, she shouldn't speak about Shad probably being here. Knowing her feelings for him Farhan might not like it.

'Why? I am not going for an exam. It is just a stupid conference. Some big shots will lecture, some stupid activities, socializing and other nonsense.' Eifad said waving her hand in the air casually. Farhan nodded thoughtfully.

'Forget all that? I am not able to sleep...sing for me.' Eifad said shifting on the bed little. Farhan smiled, 'Just tell you are missing me, Sweetheart.' Farhan said relaxing in his chair. Eifad shifted closer to the laptop.

'Of course, I am missing you, you dumbass.' She said annoyed.

'Wow! How romantic.' Farhan said sarcastically. They stared at each other for a second before bursting out laughing.

'I miss you.' Eifad said once their laughter had died down. Seeing her expressions Farhan smiled sadly, 'I miss you too, Eifad.' He said.

'Then, what are you are waiting for get your guitar and cheer me up...and this time, sing only for me.' she said. Farhan smiled nodding.

Eifad waited patiently for him to get the guitar. She watched him string the guitar. A wide smile on his lips. Eifad knew that more than her loving his voice, Farhan loves singing.

Farhan cleared his throat and opened his mouth to sing when Eifad interrupted, 'Stop! Let me record this.' She said and frantically searched for her phone.

Finally, when she found it, she placed it near the speaker and looked at Farhan, 'Start.' She pressed the record button.

Farhan smiled and began.

'Main rahoon ya na rahoon

Tum mujh mein kahin baaki rehna

Mujhe neend aaye jo aakhiri

Tum khwabon mein aate rehna

Bas itna hai tumse kehna'

Farhan looked at Eifad who smiled widely at him, looking at her, Farhan continued and once again Eifad found herself mesmerized with his song. She knew why he chose this song for tonight. Eifad felt like she is the luckiest girl on the planet right now.

Samajh lena boondon mein main hoon

Subah dhoop tumko sataaye

Seeing the intensity of love in his eyes, Eifad found her heart melting.

'Kuch kahun ya na kahun

Eifad closed her eyes momentarily before opening them and looking at him again. She is completely lost in his eyes and his voice.

'Hawaaon mein lipta hua main

Guzar jaaunga tumko chhu ke

Agar mann ho to rok lena

Eifad blinked her eyes rapidly taking in the tears that threatened to fall. Not wanting to spoil the moment Farhan didn't stop, he continued, his eyes still on her. Eifad felt her lips dry and her throat parched as she tried hard not to cry. The song and its relevance to the situation making her very emotional. This is so unlike her. But love has indeed transformed her.

Farhan stopped the song and silently asked for her reaction. Eifad knew the tears will fall any moment and so she quickly stopped the recording and bid good night to Farhan. Before he could respond she cut the call and closed the flap of the laptop. Farhan on the other side knew she is emotional now and needed space. He understands, Eifad isn't someone who cries in front of others, even if that other is someone special.

Eifad closed the laptop, leaned forward, and buried her face into her palm and began to cry.

'I miss you, Farhan...' she cried.

Later that night, Eifad plugged the earphones into her ears and listening to his voice in a loop, she fell asleep.

Next day, Eifad got up with puffy eyes but smiling lips. She had been listening to Farhan's voice whole night, the more she listened to his voice the more she fell in love with him. Yes, now slowly Eifad is realizing she is indeed in love with Farhan.

Eifad quickly showered and wore a grey business suit, she blow-dried and combed her short hair. She applied light makeup and cologne and slipped into a black Stiletto.

'Maam, I am waiting outside the conference hall.' Mr. Saxena said on the call with Eifad.

'Okay, I am on the way.' She replied and then cut the call. The elevator door opened and she stepped in.

Soon enough, she met Mr. Saxena at the entrance to the Conference Hall. He greeted her formally and she responded.

'Where is Dr. Imran and Dr. Kiran?' Eifad asked glancing at her watch. It is 9.30am and in half an hour the conference will begin.

'They haven't come yet.' Mr. Saxena replied. Eifad shook her head. She and Mr. Saxena walked inside the hall.

Once they had taken their seat, Eifad asked Mr. Saxena to call them. He nodded.

9.55am,

Eifad spoke to Mr. Jameson CEO of a prestige hospital in Belgium. Talking to him Eifad felt enlightened.

'Maam.' Eifad looked up and found Imran standing beside her. She nodded and he went on, 'Look who I found here.' he smiled widely. Eifad didn't reply, she simply looked at him.

Just then a man wearing a red shirt and black trousers matched with black blazer stepped from behind Imran.

'Oh My God! Eifu.'

Eifad froze.

The familiar twinkling eyes, charming smile and the dimples made her world spin.
