There is perfect stillness in the atmosphere of the room, being late in the night there isn't much commotion either. Once again, Eifad found herself hypnotized by his deep brown eyes. It held so much emotions of pain and love and understanding.

They stared unblinkingly for a while, but it felt like an eternity to Eifad. But the moment ceased when Eifad broke the eye contact stepping out of his grip, Farhan retracted his hands back. Eifad looked down briefly and then at him.

'I guess... uh... I should... go... Good night.' Eifad said. Farhan nodded, 'Good night.'

Eifad forced a smile but Farhan didn't bother to even do that. Disappointment was written all over his face.

Eifad turned around, her hand moved up and her fingers wrapped tightly around her star pendant

''You are the star of my life.'' Eifad closed her eyes and then took a deep breath. She walked out of the room clenching her pendant. She didn't stop or turn to look at Farhan as she climbed upstairs to her room.

Eifad stared at the ceiling of her room as she fidgeted with her pendant. This is the second time she felt a strange desire while looking at Farhan, the same feeling she had when he had been close to her while teaching her guitar at his home.

'Farhan loves you, at least give him a chance.' Aisha's word whispered into her ears. Eifad turned to her side and stared at the door front.

Eifad wondered if she should give Farhan a chance. He really loves her, though he hasn't said a word she knows staring into his eyes, by his actions. But Eifad is scared. Getting into a relationship she doesn't want to lose a friend if things don't work out. There will be cracks in their friendship.

Eifad turned to her back and once again stared at the ceiling, her gaze fixated on the fan. Her biggest fear is, what if she fails as a girlfriend? Farhan will definitely have some expectations from her and what if she won't be able to live up to them? And what about intimacy, an important part of being in a relationship?

Eifad sat up on her bed shaking her head. No, no, she can't be in a relationship with Farhan and make his life miserable. She should suppress her feelings and not come close to him. That will be better for both.

But then thinking about this, Eifad felt her heart slump inside her chest. In these two years, Farhan has tried his best to confess his feelings, to get her attention but not once been forceful or clingy. Two years, yet the intensity of his love didn't falter. Eifad bit her lower-lip, she has always been clear and this is the first time she is in a strange dilemma.

She then fell on the bed, Farhan loves her and she knows it, crystal clear but she? Does she love him? Has she moved on from Shad?

After Shad had left, Eifad had closed herself from feeling love and never paid attention to her feelings towards Farhan's advances though she knows she loves his attention.

With all the thoughts roaming in her mind, Eifad had a very restless sleep that night.

Next day, Eifad met Kim outside the board room where the panel was to meet. Eifad saw few women standing behind Kim. They must be some five to seven girls. Out of fifteen, only handfuls showed up. Eifad is little disappointed but also happy when she saw Kim's confident smile.

'Ready?' Eifad asked her

'Ready, Maam.' She said confidently. Eifad smiled.

She noticed, unlike every time, this time Kim has also dressed differently and much more confidently in an ink blue flute sleeved top and black pant. Eifad and Kim gave each other a nod before Eifad entered for the meeting.

After a while of talking with Eifad, Kim was called in. Eifad watched her with a smile as Kim answered all the questions confidently. She didn't fumble, stammer nor did her voice waver as she spoke. Eifad wanted to extend her hand and hold Kim's when she gave a descriptive narration of everything that Gaurav had done to her. Once, her eyes caught Eifad's and she gave Kim a nod silently saying that she is proud of her.

After Kim, other girls were called. Eifad smiled proudly as one after the other spoke against Gaurav.

One hour later, the meeting was over and the trio, Eifad Kiran and Kim sat chuckling having lunch together in the cafeteria. This is the first time Eifad is having lunch with her employees. Eifad doesn't care what the on-lookers are thinking of her, she is just very happy.

'Maam, Gaurav will be wishing he be dead now.' Kim said happily. Eifad smiled admiring the twinkle in her eyes, she felt proud.

'Only when he comes out of jail.' Kiran said and hi-fied with Kim. Eifad leaned back in her seat and watched the two with a smile.

Her phone beeped and she picked up her phone

Farhan: How was the meeting?

Eifad: Success. Tomorrow they will give out the result.

Farhan: Wonderful. I am proud of you

Eifad: Thanks...

She then placed her phone and got busy with her girl gang. Having lunch, joking and cursing Gaurav together.
