Eifad gasped as gush of air entered her lungs. Soon, her breathing got normal and her eyes flicked open. The first person she saw was close-up of Farhan's face staring at her. He looked on concerned. She stared into his eyes trying to steady her breath. For a minute, she thought she was dead.

'Mamma!' Eifad turned her head and Zara came over her, hugging her tight. Zara began crying, Eifad moved her hand and caressed Zara's back.

'I thought I lost you.' Zara cried as she separated their frames and sat up. Farhan held Eifad's shoulder and helped her sit. A man, worker, got a towel and Farhan wrapped it around her.

'Thanks.' Eifad said meekly. Farhan held her shoulder and when she looked at him he shook his head silently asking her to not speak. Eifad smiled gratefully at him.

Ten minutes later, they sat in front of a small cafeteria dressed in their own clothes. Eifad held a hot steaming coffee with both her palms. The warmth from the cup sending warmth into her body. She is still wrapped in a towel. Farhan sat beside her having tea while Zara sat eating a sandwich.

'Mamma. I got so scared.' She said still shaken by the incident. Eifad smiled extending her hand and ruffling Zara's curls.

'Thank God, Farhan was there and he saved you and brought you back to life with a kiss of true love like the prince from sleeping beauty and snow white.'

Eifad looked at Farhan wide-eyed

'CPR! I had to give you CPR and not kiss of true love or whatever.' Farhan ran his fingers through his hair embarrassed. Eifad blinked at him before breaking into a smile. Farhan is relieved to see her smile. Zara kept looking from Eifad to Farhan cluelessly.

'Honey, your sandwich is getting cold.' Eifad pointed at Zara's sandwich and she nodded and began to eat her sandwich. Eifad looked up at Farhan who flashed an awkward smile.

Eifad had a bright smile on her face as she watched Farhan and Zara in the bumper car. She hadn't seen Zara laughing so hard, Eifad had always made sure Zara behaves like a proper girl. Eifad also realized that Farhan looks handsome while laughing, not that he doesn't look handsome other times. Now, he looked more handsome. Eifad frowned, 'why am I thinking this?' She mentally smacked herself.

Finally, all three sat on the tiny train. Eifad and Zara managed somehow but Farhan being tall had to be cramped. Eifad and Zara had a good laugh at his state. Farhan laughed with them.

It was evening when they sat in the car and drove back home. Eifad had insisted she drive since Farhan drove them here. Farhan agreed since he was very tired.

Zara had slept off in the back seat. Farhan sat leaning in the passenger seat humming the song playing on the car radio. Eifad turned her head and looked at him.

'Farhan!'

'Hmm...' he replied, his eyes closed. Eifad looked front at the road and then back at him.

'Thanks.' She said

Farhan opened his eyes and turned his head to look at her, Eifad smiled at him. He didn't return the smile, instead, he sat straight in his seat and glared at her. Eifad frowned.

'What?' she shrugged, looked at the road and then back at him.

'What you think you were doing? If you didn't know swimming why did you go venturing into the deep waters?' he scolded her.

Eifad didn't like his tone, who the hell is he to scold her. 'Dude, why are you getting so hyper?' she asked annoyed.

'Wow!' Farhan raised his arms up in the air, 'Ulta chor Kotwal ko daante,' (Thief scolding police) Farhan shifted twisting his body little to face her. Eifad frowned accelerating the car, annoyed.

'Idiot, what if something would have happened to you. What if you...' his voice dropped when he said, 'died.'

Eifad reduced the speed and looked at Farhan. There was concern and worry written all over his face.

Eifad composed herself and looked ahead at the road, 'So, why you care?' she said casually. There is silence. Eifad looked at him, he looked at her and she saw him clench his jaw. Eifad realized he is angry. She looked front at the road.

Few seconds later, Farhan muttered, 'You know why?' She looked at him again. She noticed his expressions change.

Farhan placed his palm over Eifad's gazing into her eyes. Eifad saw the glint again in his brown eyes. She looked away and slowly moved her hand from under his, Farhan retracted his hand back.

There is silence again, except the soft tune playing from the radio.

'You have no idea how important you are for me, Eifad.' Farhan said after a while. Eifad clenched the steering wheel tightly. Farhan is again trying his luck, this is what Eifad always dreads with the conversation like this.

'Eif...'

'Farhan!' Eifad said agitated, she composed herself and continued, 'Next time se, I will be careful and not do anything stupid like this.' She then looked at him, like always her eyes pleaded him not venture into that territory. 'Thank you, Farhan, for saving my life.' She said. Farhan nodded. Eifad is relieved. She looked front focusing on the road. The rest of the drive was silent.
