Tansen, Eifad's driver opened the back door of the car, she was about to step in when she noticed Kiran at a distance struggling with her scooty. She kept adjusting her helmet and clicking the keys. Eifad gestured the driver to get Kiran to her.

'Maam.' Kiran smiled at Eifad who doesn't smile back. She glanced at Kiran's white and red scooty and then at her.

'Any problem?' She pointed at her scooty. Kiran nodded embarrassed.

'These second-hand stuff are a menace.' She sighed shaking her head in disgust. Eifad placed her palm on her shoulder and Kiran looked at her.

'Come I will drop you.' she smiled at her. Kiran is little confused with Eifad's warm reaction. Nevertheless, she nodded her head. They got into the car.

Kiran looked at Eifad from corner of her eyes. Eifad had her one leg over the other, and her eyes glued to the tab that she held. Kiran shifted little towards the door and stared out of the window. This time, Eifad looked at her.

'Ms....'

'Kiran Rai.' Kiran said. Eifad made a face which gave Kiran the hint that she didn't like the interruption. Kiran made an apologetic face which goes unnoticed by Eifad as she said, 'You know Dr. Kim Lawrence?'

Kiran looked at Eifad who has her attention back into her Tab. When there was no response Eifad turned her head, and looked at Kiran. She raised her eyebrow.

'I... have...seen her...once or twice but...'

'When you met.... seen her...how was her... body language?' Eifad inquired. Kiran thought for a while before answering.

'Earlier, she used to hang out with her group, laugh and chat...but then...' Eifad shifted little, all her attention towards Kiran, 'few weeks ago I saw her at the coffee bender machine, she looked aloof and disturbed.'

'Did you see, Mr. Gaurav Kayshab with her?' Eifad pressed on. Kiran shook her head.

Eifad looked front, Kiran looked on. She bit her lower lip as she tried swallowing her question asking Eifad why suddenly she is interested in knowing about Kim. There is silence between them now.

A while later, the car stopped at Kiran's residence. She looked at Eifad, her hand on the car door.

'Good night, Maam.' Kiran smiled at Eifad. She looked at Kiran and nodded, but before Kiran could step out, Eifad held her hand.

'Kiran, I have a work for you.' Kiran said nothing, she listened to Eifad intently. Eifad asked her to befriend Kim and get to know what is bothering her. Kiran nodded and Eifad was grateful she didn't ask any questions, perhaps she got the hint too.

Aisha noticed Eifad quiet and lost while they had dinner. She kept poking the vegetable with her fork frowning. Eifad also didn't tug Zara to sleep that night it was Aisha who made her sleep.

Usually whenever Eifad is aloof and silent Aisha used to leave her, give her space but not anymore. Aisha doesn't want to risk her daughter anymore and so even if she fears her, she tries, tries to be there for her daughter.

Aisha entered her room and found Eifad standing by the window, her back facing her and so Aisha can't make out her expressions.

'Eifad, beta?' she said softly. Eifad turned around, looking at her mother she looked away irritated. Eifad felt her irritation grow as she felt her mother stand beside her. She is in no mood to listen to her mother talk about Farhan.

'Ma!'

'What is bothering you, beta?' Aisha interrupted before Eifad could say anything more. Eifad sighed and turned facing the window again, her mother stood beside her.

Eifad folded her arms across her chest and leaned against the window pane, 'Why you care?' she said dryly.

'Because I had almost lost you once by not caring...now I do.' Eifad turned her head and looked at her mother, who is now almost in tears. Eifad felt bad, but she ignored the feeling.

'I am fine, just little worried about work...' Eifad thought for a second before adding, 'there is a wedding next week...Hmm... want to come?' Eifad noticed her mother's eyes light by her simple words. She smiled nodding her head, Eifad smiled too.

After Aisha had left, Eifad lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling. Kim's crying face swam in front of her eyes and she felt miserable. Gaurav has surely threatened her, that is why she isn't speaking against him. Eifad closed her eyes, she felt her eyelids prick with hot tears

Stay quiet, else I will tell everyone what you did that night up at the terrace

No one will believe you

Shut up else I will also tell everyone that you and Shad have been doing little cho chi cooing secretly.

Not a word...else you know what I will do...

Eifad shuddered recollecting that dark day, the day that scarred her forever. Eifad sat up on the bed. Even after so many therapies, still when she recollects the incident she feels giddy, anxious, scared and disgusted. The feel of his fingers still lingers all over her making her skin burn, the feeling disgusts her. Eifad poured herself some water, gulped down it in one go and relaxed against the bed post. Her breathing uneven.

Whatever happened to her, should not happen to anyone. She will not let it happen to anyone else. Eifad is now very much determined to find out what is troubling Kim and help her.
