༄✯ 𝐱𝐱.: ❝ the cooking video ❞ ══

Ahnji waves at the camera.

"Long time no video, everyone! This video is a bit cliche since there's plenty of videos like this but we will be cooking today!"

"I have plenty of friends, so I could share these with them! A lot of them likes to eat too..."

"Since it's still cold, I want to try a stew specifically Dakbokkeumtang or Spicy braised chicken for foreign people."

"The second dish is cream-ppang or custard cream bread- I use to make it for my brother a lot and it's really good."

"The last one is a Filipino street food that I very much love- Kwek Kwek! It's savory and I'm a deep-fried food lover, so this is a must!"

"First, we need to prepare the ingredients! I will be making the cream-ppang first because bread takes time."

She explains the ingredients needed and made the dough.

"Kneading is tiring because you also kinda need the strength! Respect to all the bread bakers about there."

She kneaded the dough for 20 minutes until it was soft enough. She puts it in a pot and covers it.

"Put that aside and let it do its magic," she laughs and washes her hand.

"I'll boil all the quail eggs I have for the kwek kwek recipe. I'll also use normal-sized eggs," she says.

She puts all the eggs she bought for the dish in the water and moved on.

"While that cooks, I'll explain the ingredients and how to make the recipe since it's very simple."

"All you need is all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt, pepper, annatto powder, oil, and water- that's all!"

"Firstly, mix all the dry ingredients, so that's 1 cup of flour, 3 tbsp of cornflour, ½ teaspoon of salt and pepper."

"To remind you, do not add the Annatto powder yet because it either won't melt or will take a long time to melt once mixed."

"So get you one cup of water and pour the 1 tbsp of Annatto powder in. Mix a little and now, pour it in the dey ingredients."

"Mix it well cause we don't want lumps! Now, after the eggs have been cooked, dredge them in cornflour."

"Before putting them in the batter, heat your pan with oil until it's hot enough. When it's hot enough, dredge the eggs!"

She covers them with the orange batter before throwing them into the hot oil.

"This will cook fast, so keep your eyes open~," she says and takes out the cooked ones.

She continues to cook all of them until the eggs ran out.

"I promise you- these are very delicious and if you love deep-fried foods, this is the way to go!" She eats one,

"And now, let's check on the bread since an hour passed- the time is really quick."

She removes the cover and cooed at the bigger dough.

She softly smacks it and laughs before she makes the custard. She puts the cooked custard on the side and took the dough.

"Punch it, so all the air inside will escape, and your baby dough ball will deflate."

"A lot of us are big eaters, so I will make like 20? Will that be enough?" She tilts her head, she washes her hands.

She takes her phone from the side and calls JungKyung.

"Kyungie, how many cream-ppang should I make for 8 people?"

"Depends on how much they eat."

"They're all big eaters though-,"

"Make 20 something!"

"But I feel like 20 is not enough."

"Make it 30 then- I'm pretty sure that will be eaten," JungKyung answered.

Ahnji thanks her and ends the call.

"Thank God, I made three just in case." She says and begins to cut each dough ball into 10 pieces.

She rolls the dough and places them back into the pot for 10 minutes.

"After these little fellas rest, flatten them one by one into oval shapes and add the custard in one side."

"Lift the other side to this and make sure the custard is sealed tight. You can seal the corners by using a fork."

"Brush some egg wash on them and let them bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 F°."

She closes the oven and puts all the dirty dishes in the sink. She pours water over them to avoid food sticking onto the plate.

"The last dish is spicy braised chicken!"

Ahnji turns the camera off after doing her outro.

She sighs and sits down after filming. Everything went well and she wanted a little bit of rest.

She heard the keypad on her door, seconds later, cheerful voices.

"Noona~," she smiled when a puppy ran up to her.

"Jun!" She chuckled as Jun licked her hand and face as an 'I miss you'.

"Why did you get bigger?" She smiled as she watched the other boys enter after JungKyung.

"So many good foods!" Beomgyu and JungKyung clapped their hands.

"Just eat whenever you want!" Ahnji said and went to her room to get changed out of her smelly clothes.

The cheerful laughs and screams of her friends made her smile. She sat on her bed and grabbed a book from her table.

She hears the door open and sees Yeonjun.

"You again?"

"You say that like you don't like me," he smirked and closed the door.

He jumped on the bed, falling right beside her. Yeonjun watched her read the book, all focused.

He pouts and takes the book away from her.

"I was reading that,"

"You can read that later," Yeonjun said and laid his head on her chest.

Her hair racing quickly and Yeonjun could hear it. Ahnji brought her hand to his hair and began to play with it.

Yeonjun lifts his head to look at her. Their eyes met once more and Yeonjun smiled softly.

Ahnji, on the other hand, was confused again.

She wants to tell him but couldn't. She wanted to move things but couldn't.

"Yeonjun,"

"Hm?"

"I- let's- uh- nevermind... How did you know  my keypad number?" She asked,

"Jisung told us- you should've told us sooner since we live in the same building." She rolled her eyes while he laughed.

Yeonjun rests his head on her chest again while Ahnji was in thoughts of how this could escalate.
