You wouldn't leave me, right?

Six years ago was when I first saw you, I was nine or ten at the time. My father was out running some errands for his empire, the empire I would soon inherit one day. To him my older siblings weren't capable of running a business due to their grades, and lack of overall strength. But also because they were afraid of him, he had even driven one of my brothers out to the streets, and we never saw him again.

Since he was gone mother had finally allowed me to play outside. I was never allowed to when he was around, mostly because he'd rather see me study. But that didn't matter, none of the kids in my neighborhood wanted to play with me anyway. It wasn't like I had anyone to ask why I was so different, or why people were afraid of me. The kids ignored me, so eventually I ignored them too. As a child I had no one to play with, so I never played catch, or tag, or even hide n seek. Instead I went on walks, it was risky yes since I never knew when my father would come back, but usually I would make it in time.

Some time had past and I had realized that I had wandered into a different neighborhood. I wasn't lost or anything, I had just never gone this far before. I looked around and saw a colorful playground not to far from where I was standing. I head over, and sit on a bench. It couldn't have been long since I left so I was in no rush to go back. But suddenly my thoughts are interrupted by a soft chuckle coming for somewhere under a play structure. I hesitantly walk over and see a boy around my age. He had fluffy green hair, innocent emerald green eyes, and freckles that were splattered across his face. His hands covered his mouth and his knees were tucked to his chest. The small boy stared up at me with a nervous expression on his face. 'Of course he was scared of me, I thought, it was normal.' "I-im sorry, I didn't mean to laugh at you," he finally spoke with his frail voice. It was surprising to hear so suddenly, so obviously I was blushing.  "It's just that I saw you sitting there, and I had realized that you hadn't noticed me yet," the boy continued. "I-it's alright,"  I quietly assured him. "Well what's your name?" He asked me, as he tilted his head to the side. "Shoto, my name is Shoto,"  I quickly replied. "Woah that's a cool name it's like it's straight out of a comic book, your hair too!" I nodded my head in embarrassment. " My name is Izuku. I was playing hide n seek with my friend kacchan, but sometimes he forgets that i'm still hiding. But don't worry it's normal!" The green haired boy gets up from under the play structure. He's smiling and his eyes are shining. "How bout we play together, is that okay Shoto?" I stare blankly at Izuku, it was shocking for me to hear those words. "O-ok Izuku," I finally answered. If it was even possible his eyes lit up even more, and his smile was twice as bright. "Alright then let's play superhero!" he said jumping up and down. I looked down at him in confusion. "You know, the game where you pretend to be a superhero, haven't you played it before?" I shook my head and looked the other way. "Oh, that's ok. Just pick a superhero you like, and you can pretend to be him or her. My favorite is All-might, so i'll play as him! Who do you want to be?" With no response I just shrugged, I didn't know much about superheroes. In the past I had heard some about All-might, but that was only when comic books or movies about him were gonna come out, so aside from that I didn't know anything. "Um, how bout you pretend to be a villain! Plus it'll make things a lot more fun!" He said, as he clasped his hands. I nodded and looked at the floor not knowing what to do. Suddenly Izuku started to climb the play structure and pointed at me. "STOP RIGHT THERE VILLAIN, YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ME!" He yelled and jumped off the structure. Izuku began to chase after me. The both of us were laughing as we said one-liners here and there. Suddenly the tense atmosphere was gone, and I had made my first friend. We had been playing for what seemed like hours now, and the sun had finally started to set. We had made up a crazy story, and have had intense battles. Eventually i'm on the ground about to be finished off, and Izuku stands over me. "I am hero, and heroes are supposed to save the world from evil, but you're not evil Shoto, so don't worry BECAUSE I AM HERE!."(<----His villain name) Izuku shouted heroically as his green locks started blowing in the wind. He put his arm out to reach for my hand, i'm about to take it and- "Izuku! Izuku Midoriya! Come home, it's getting late and dinner is ready!" A small women with dark green hair is standing in front of the house across the street. "Ok mom, i'm coming!" He replied as I pushed myself up from the ground. Izuku looked back at me, "I have to go, but let's play tomorrow around the same time okay?" I nodded as I watched him cross the street, and close the door.
I begin to hurry home hoping my father wasn't there yet. But waiting for me at the door wasn't my father, but my mother. "Shoto what took you so long? You're lucky father called in saying he was going on an emergency business trip." I apologized "I'm sorry mom, I just got carried away," and head into my room, thinking about tomorrow.

Knowing my father wasn't gonna be home for a week, I spent it playing at the park with Izuku. He wasn't just my first friend but also my first crush, little did I know he'd be the only one I'd ever have. Izuku and I talked a lot and got to know each other during that week. We'd meet up at the same spot and same time everyday, and played a variety of different games. We even played house and Izuku was my wife. It was one of the happiest moments of my life, each day better than the last. Suddenly the day came to an end. "Izuku come inside it's getting late" his mother began, but this time something was different, "You haven't finished packing and we're leaving early tomorrow." She shouted, waiting at the door. "One sec!" The smaller boy shouted back. He turns to me and gives me a quick hug before leaving. "Goodbye Shoto," he whispered. I walked back home, still flustered from the events moments prior. As i'm walking back home I notice two big white trucks with the words 'Moving.Co' imprinted on the sides drive towards the direction I was coming from. I payed no other thought to it and just shrugged it off. Finally I arrived home and waited for tomorrow. Today was the day before my father would return, so I had planned to tell izuku that I wouldn't be able to see him as often anymore. I went to meet up with him at our usual time, but he wasn't there. I noticed that their family car wasn't in the driveway, I just figured they were out for a bit. So I waited, and waited, and waited. The sun started to set, and I had decided that he was just busy. He was gonna be here tomorrow, I would see Izuku tomorrow.

Tomorrow came and Izuku wasn't there. The neighborhood felt empty, and was quiet. It was as if it was mocking me. But I couldn't leave just yet. I still had something to tell him, I still had more games I wanted to play, and I still wanted to be with him even if it was for just a bit longer. The day came to an end, and reality had kicked in. I'd never see Izuku again. Tears clouded my eyes, and the possibility of what was waiting for me at home escaped my thoughts. I wiped my tears and entered my house, witnessing my mother on the floor holding her left cheek and my father towering over her. "WHAT DID YOU DO?" I shouted, as he looked back at me. "I LEAVE FOR A WEEK, ONLY TO FIND OUT YOU'VE BEEN WASTING YOUR TIME PLAYING? YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE STUDYING AND TRAINING FOR WHAT YOU'LL INHERIT ONE DAY!" He grabs my arm and pulls me into his office. " STOP HE'S JUST A KID!" My mother yelled from behind. If my father wasn't capable of loving anyone, then what did that say about me? Id given up, and I had realize I was finally alone.
