1: The Family Reunites
Book 3:
"Mother! Father! You've both returned!" Macaria ran over to greet her parents, however she and her sister, both adults, were stopped short at the scene before them.
"Don't fucking touch me, Satan." You growled as you stalked away. "Don't fucking touch me, don't fucking talk to me and don't fucking look for me. I'm leaving. Maybe in thousand years, I won't be so angry."
"No! No! YN! Wait!" He stumbled after you, tears still running down his face. "Please!"
"Melinoe, Macaria, can you control him? I'll talk to you both later at the orchard before I leave, alright?" You scowled as you stomped towards your little sanctuary. "And he better not fucking come."
"What did you do to Mommy?" Melinoe asked her father, shocked.
"Nothing! I didn't do anything to her! I just fell in love!" He sobbed hysterically, a sight that deeply perturbed his two daughters.
"Mother seems much more upset than that would cause. Would it have something to do with the fragment of human you are clutching?" Macaria eyed it suspiciously. "What did you do to the humans, Father?"
"I... I... I killed them all..." Satan fell to his knees as he watched his pregnant wife leave him behind. All he had left was this upper half of Akira; something that would never be able to satisfy him. But still, he was unable to let him go. He had loved Akira and hadn't meant for it to come to this.
As Macaria and Melinoe attempted to console their father, as best as two partial demons could, it became clear to them that this was no simple spat. Something had gone horribly wrong with the surface world and the plan that Satan had created.
"Didn't you want the humans gone, Daddy?" Melinoe frowned as she stroked Satan's hair. "I thought that was your plan. To make sure that the demons had enough room."
"It failed, obviously Mel." Macaria looked at her sister sternly. "What I do not understand, Father, is why Mother is so angry with you. You say that you fell in love, but I do not understand. Where are all the demons? There is not that many of us here."
"Dead. Everyone and everything is dead, Macaria." Satan sniffled. "And in that pile of dead and rotting organic matter, lies-- or rather will lie-- a human and then human-demon cross that your mother and I grew to love after our years in the human realm. H-His name was Akira Fudo and I this is him..."
"Ew, Daddy, dead bodies are gross." Melinoe scrunched her nose and looked at it.
"Akira is not disgusting! He was a perfect human! And an even better devilman!" Satan yelled at them.
"What's a devilman, Mac?" Melinoe whispered.
"No idea. It must be a demon-human cross like mother and us." Macaria whispered back. "Is it that hard for you and her to move away from the human? You could not have been up top for more than twenty years maximum. You have been together for millennia. I do not understand what happened to drive her away."
"Your mother's pregnant with this creature's baby." Satan's lip quivered.
"Why would she be angry about that?" Melinoe looked skeptical.
"I personally killed this creature." Satan danced around what had actually made you upset. But his daughters were no fools.
"Let's go, Mel. Father isn't going to tell us the full story. Mother, on the other hand, will tell us everything." Macaria grabbed her sister's hand and pulled her towards the orchard.
