Pretty

When I could finally breathe again, I looked down and saw that it was Blake. I started laughing when he grabbed me by the waist and started twirling us around. His smile was genuine and I could see that he was having fun, my heart started beating faster. Because I appreciated it when people were happy around me. In the very next moment, Blake went underwater again. Looking at him, I tried to figure out what he was doing.

A little while later he caught something in the lake. He insisted on showing me what he had found, outside the water. When we got out I could feel the cold air around me. I was exhausted from swimming. We were in the water for at least an hour. My lips started quivering. Opening his arms, he sighed showing me to come closer. I wasn't sure whether I should, or shouldn't but I did it since I was insanely cold. And there it was, the familiar smell of cologne, vanilla, and smoke. My favorite smell by now. His body was warm and comfy, making me feel safe in a weird way. I was drawing little circles with my fingertips, on his leg, waiting for him to finish whatever he was doing.

He looked invested in what he was making. But the only thing I could look at was his hands. They were much bigger than mine and his veins were almost exploding. Yet he was still moving them so slowly and softly. He also had a few tattoos on his hands and fingers.

When he was finally done he gave me a necklace made out of white shells. It looked so pretty, as he put it on my neck. Electricity was going through my body when he touched my skin. I couldn't exactly explain what was the reason for my body to feel like that, but I knew that it was something weird. Was it love? No, it wasn't. I don't believe in such things as love. Perhaps, it was the dumbest thing people believed in. Maybe it was just because my body was cold and his hands were warm. I started breathing a little bit heavier with every move he made. My body got hotter with every second passing by. It felt like a fire was burning inside of me. When he was done, he ran his hands down my body, all the way down to my waist, turning me around, so I could face him.

"Do you like it?" He looked at me with a self-conscious look on his face. It seemed like he was embarrassed,... or nervous.

"It's really pretty. Thank you."

I could see a smile appear on his face, showing his dimples. He gently put a strand of hair behind my ear, making me shiver. I could feel my chest going up and down faster. His gaze was on me, locking eyes with me. I slowly leaned over, closer to him.

"I'm pretty sure that I said, that we're starting as friends again. Too bad, you can't take your hands off of me." I whispered into his ear.

"Of course, we're just friends, love. But what about friends with benefits?" He started kissing my neck, leaving a trail of hickeys. His hands were exploring my body, stopping at my tights. I could feel his heavy breath on my skin. His touch made me feel a certain way. Giving me the energy I needed. I wanted him. Every inch of him. His fingers slid down to my thong. Slowly pulling it down. It felt like a drug. With every move he made I wanted more. I craved him. But not now. It didn't feel right. The feeling of letting him touch my body didn't sit right with me. As much as I wanted him to touch me, I couldn't.

"Nice try. As much as I want you to touch me, not now and not here." I grabbed his hand and put it away. Then I walked up to my clothes and started putting them on.

"You're no fun!" He sarcastically rolled his eyes, slightly smiling. Not saying anything else he walked up to me, picking up his clothes. Our clothes were wet since it was raining like crazy. It was still raining like crazy.

When we got to the car he opened the door for me. At first, no one said anything. I was looking at all the fields and lights. Staring at the raindrops that were rolling down the window. Blake screamed at the people that were driving too slow every now and then, which made me laugh. Then he put his hand on my tigh. I could feel a shiver up my spine. He just looked at me with a smirk on his face.

I spent my time singing to different Chase Atlantic songs. That's one of the things we share. Our taste in music. I'm glad that we didn't have to fight over songs. Instead, we could sing them together. We were pretty much the same person with different fonts if you get what I mean.

When we arrived Blake disappeared somewhere in the mansion. I went straight to the kitchen because I was starving. Before I could even open the fridge a black-haired woman came up to me. She said she got hired as the new cook. Since I wanted to cook something for myself I offered her to stay and eat with me. While the pasta was cooking I looked at her noticing that she also had lots of tattoos, a nose ring, and a long black eyeliner. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be her or be with her. She had those fox eyes like Bella Hadid and a small nose that perfectly fit her face.

We started talking about many different things. I found out that she went to a university in Ohio but moved and now she was here. She was walking down the streets and saw a piece of paper that said, we needed a cook. Since she was a good cook and loved to do it, she instantly called Ian. Oh, and her name was Amaya. The name fit her well and it was really beautiful. If I had a child I probably would've called it Amaya. This girl was one of the nicest people I've ever met. But not nice in a dumb way, nice in a confident way.

I almost forgot the pasta because I was so invested in our conversation. A simple recipe for mac and cheese looked delicious and I had all the ingredients. To be honest I'm not a good cook. I never even tried to be good at it. So this was one of the few times I made something. When Amaya and I finished the food I washed the dishes and sat back down.

"I know it's probably not a good idea to ask you this since I only work here for a short amount of time, but can I go home earlier. It's my girlfriend's birthday and I would like to surprise her before she gets home. I mean it's also okay if you say no, but please say yes."

"Do you think I would say no? Go ahead, it's not like I can't live without a cook." I smiled a little in approval.

"Thank you so much! I love you!" She took her bag and ran to the front door. I stood in the kitchen, just laughing for a while since I was happy that I could maybe have a friend for once.

It wasn't too late so I decided to go for a run. Usually, I don't have the time, but now I had no plans. Quickly I searched for the bodyguards, just to let them know that I don't need them to follow me and that I'm fine. I was fully aware that my father was still alive and wouldn't give up until he kills me, yet I didn't care. He is my father, after all, he raised me. But he made a mistake. He raised me to be worse than him.

I left my phone at home because I wanted to enjoy every tiny bit of the free time I had. Slowly, I closed the door, so Blake wouldn't hear me. He would force me to take a bodyguard with me. Sometimes he's overprotective and I hate it.

As soon as I stepped outside I took a deep breath inhaling the cold air. After a bit of walking, I started running. The streets were empty, it seemed like everything was abandoned. All the lights were turned off, the windows closed and the cars were in the driveway. The sky looked like a painting straight out of the museum. A mix of different shades of gray and black. My mom once told me that when an artist dies, God lets him paint one last painting that would appear in the sky. I knew that it wasn't true, but it was such a beautiful thing to think about. Since then, I have adored the sky.

Unexpectedly someone started walking towards me.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Love you, see you in the next one :))
