Chapter 21
"Ro! Ro, Ro, Ro, Ro, Ro, Ro, Ro, Ro, Ro!" Remus said, catapulting into the dorm room and tripping over a chair, falling face flat on the floor. Roman spared him a disparaging look before going back to his drawing.
"Yeah? What is it?"
Remus was back on his feet and bouncing around. Roman sighed.
"Re, if you're going to tell me, at least tell me without looking like a Jack-In-The-Box."
Remus obligingly sat down on his bed, grinning like the Cheshire Cat. "Ro, he said yes! Blondie said yes!"
Roman put down his drawing and grinned at Remus. "Re, that's awesome. Great for you!"
"I know right!" Remus said but then his smiled dropped. "Where am I gonna take him - shit, Ro where am I going to take him?! I know nowhere in Auridon where I could take Blondie and I-"
"Knock, knock?"
Remus and Roman looked up to see Janus poking his head around the door.
"Oh, hi Blondie." Remus said, trying to pass of being calm and collected but failing.
"Um, hi. I just thought that you don't know anywhere in Auridon so I wondered if you'd like to go to the ice cream place in town? It's run by Elsa and Honeymaren, called Atohallan. It's a safe space for LGBTQ+ people so it's a good place for a date."
"Uh, yeah, that sounds awesome."
Janus grinned. "Okay, great. Does Sunday work for you? Cause it's open all week."
"Yeah, Sunday works fine." Janus grinned again and ducked out of the door. Roman let out a snort of laughter and Remus side-eyed him.
"What?"
"Dear God, I've never seen you love-struck before and I need to see that more often. Jesus, that was funny!" Roman said, laughing. Remus threw a pillow at him and Roman stopped laughing. "Stop. Or I won't help you with what you're going to wear on this date."
"What I'm going to- Shit, Ro, what am I going to wear?!"
"Hey Virge?"
"No, I can't help you get ready for your date with Remus and no, neither can Issac and no, neither can Remy. Just because we got Issac to get a girlfriend, we don't know how we did it."
Janus sighed.
"But-"
Knock, knock, knock.
Virgil sighed. "Hold that thought." He said to Janus before getting up and opening the door. "Oh, hey Rose. What's wrong?"
"I'm really sorry for bothering you, I just didn't know who else to come to."
"What is it? Hey, um, why don't you come in. You look like you need to sit down." Virgil opened the door wider and let the frantic girl in. She sat down on the floor with her back against the wall and started running her hands through her hair.
"What's wrong, Rose?"
"It-it's Logan."
"What's wrong with him? Is he sick? Hurt?"
"No." Rose bit down on her lip, hard. "Ow, shit." She said, putting her hand to her lip. It came away red. Janus jumped up.
"I'll get you a tissue for that, one sec..."
"What's wrong with Logan, Rose?" Virgil said, worried that Rose was going to have a panic attack. "Rose? Can you try something for me? Try breathing in for four, hold for seven and breathe out for eight, okay. When you're ready to tell us what's wrong, tell us. We want to help and if I need to, I'll get my dad involved."
"No, you can't get the king involved. Please Virge. Logan'd never be able to come back here."
"Has he gone somewhere?" Janus asked, handing Rose a tissue which she pressed to her bottom lip. She took a few deep breaths while she nodded.
"He's gone. He wouldn't take me with him or tell me where he's gone but I know where he is."
"Gone where, Rose?"
Rose looked at Virgil through her lashes, her black eyes wide and worried. "To the Isle of the Lost."
Well, this has strayed from my original story plan but it'll do, it'll do.
Bye,
Queenie
