"Isn't it funny how time changes us."
Hana was only slightly confused when Soundwave started not responding to her texts.
She may or may not have been a little busy at the time, trying to figure out her most recent painting.
It was an odd painting, even Alik had trouble trying to figure it out, and he had deciphered the last one, which apparently had something to do with betrayal.
They'd decided that it had meant Megatron's sudden disappearance from their lives. Hana hadn't even gotten a single text from the mech in weeks. And normally, he checked in at least once a day to see if she was okay. Even if she just left him on read, he knew that she was okay.
But, she had gotten nothing. It worried her, enough that she was willing to break her pissed off silence to check if he was okay, only Alik's words of reason kept her from doing it.
"Nothing?" Alik asked the woman who checked her phone yet again.
"No," Hana sighed, putting her phone back on the table and grabbing her mug, taking a sip of her coffee.
Alik rolled his eyes, "He's a git," he muttered.
Hana raised an eyebrow him, "He's probably just busy," she shrugged her shoulders, before concern washed over her face, "Are you sure I should still-"
Alik nodded instantly, "Yes," his face scrunched up, "He almost killed you. He leads the 'cons, they almost killed you."
Hana flinched back at the reminder, her face dropping instantly.
"Hana-" Alik went to apologize, only to have her hold her hand for him to stop.
"It's fine, Alik," she gave him an awkward smile, "I'm just…" she trailed off looking lost.
Alik nodded, "Okay, just tell me if you feel like doing something, but aren't sure."
The little gay boy was much more knowing in the fields of dating than the artist. Having already dated a few girls through his high school experience (before he figured out that he was gay, and when he was in denial).
Hana nodded, although she didn't look reassured as she looked back at her phone.
That was the ending of Megatron's texts to the human woman.
But what had confused Hana more was the fact that Soundwave had slowly stopped texting her too. The only assurance that everything was still okay, was the fact that the four Autobot humans still continued to go to and from school.
But they seemed more and more distant as time went on.
Panacea, Miko, Raf, and Jack had slowly started cutting people out. Hana didn't think the four had realized it, but she could see the concerned looks that Matthew, Logan, and Alik kept shooting the quartet.
It turned out that Jack barely had much time lately, something that was affecting his relationship with Alik. Raf was fairly the same with Matthew. Miko was the only one who tried to not push Logan away, but even she too kept getting her time taken up by the Autobots.
Pan, well, she was a different story. She had slowly started to retreat back into herself, as if she was preparing for something that would affect all of those around her, only being the curious, knowledge hungry, sassy girl she was when she was with her friends and family.
Even Hana was left out of the loop from the Autobot side. But even she knew that something big was happening.
Lethe Rosier had disappeared from school for a day, and she had come back to school the next day a changed person. You could easily compare her to a war veteran by the defeated look that appeared in her eyes at times.
Luckily for the girl, it didn't seem that anyone but Hana(and Alik because he asked) could see the change. Not even her two best friends could tell the difference between the current Lethe, and the Lethe she was before.
Hana's heartstrings tugged her in one direction, while her mind directed her in the other. She wanted to be included with everything again, but she feared that if she did, it would be like picking sides.
She couldn't go to Megatron, because then the Autobots would accuse her of spying, and because Alik said that it would make her look weak if she went back to the jerk who almost killed her. She couldn't go to the Autobots, because that would mean betraying Megatron and Soundwave, and she couldn't do that.
She really was in a pickle here.
And not to mention, Hana's paintings were only getting darker and darker.
Now she was painting a destroyed town, she couldn't tell where it was, but she just knew that it was important. It was sort of like a gut feeling, expect much more intense.
She knew that something was happening, that something was going to change the world, but she didn't know what, or how.
She desperately hoped that it wasn't Megatron, but she was prepared for disappointment.
Afterall, he was the leader of the Decepticons.
Here's Chapter Eighteen.
Just Hana's side of things at being kept out of the loop, and werid things happening to her paintings.
Hope you enjoyed!
