"Keep your friends close, you never know when you might lose them."
The weather seemed to be against humanity that day.
Raging storms, furious lighting strikes, pissed off rainfall and wind gusts.
Hana was afraid the school would be damaged while students were still inside.
As of right now, Hana was letting any student who wanted a warmer place to be, other than the library, escape into her massive classroom. Majority of the teachers had "called in sick" because they were too fearful to travel the distance to the school.
"Make sure to keep the normal rules in action," Hana reminded a gaggle of girls who were drenched.
"Thank you, Ms," Sierra smiled as she too held her bag in her arms, it being too windy to just have if on their backs like normal.
Hana couldn't help but notice Alik frowning as Sierra walked in. Hana shook her head at that, "Teen drama," she muttered to herself before letting Matthew Rishardson, his brothers and one sister in.
The poor group of children looked terrified, "Make sure to grab some blankets," Hana told them, taking in their shivering bodies.
"Thank you Ms. Smith," Peter(the oldest) said gratefully to her before herding his younger siblings over to the blanket pile that Hana had left out.
Hana smiled as she glanced over to make sure everyone was behaving correctly, and well, they were.
If people didn't want to do any painting or drawing they're be on the far side of the classroom, behind the green masking tape that Hana had placed at the start of the year.
The ones like Alik who did want to "art", were on the side of the green masking tape closest to the door, which Hana stood next to, making sure that people could get in.
A knock on the door made Hana refocus on her task. Helping the students of Memorial High.
When it came to lunch time, Hana decided to brave the weather and go buy pizzas for everyone.
Well…. She made it to the shop, ordered the pizzas, paid for the pizzas(out of her own money), thanked the employee who offered to help her move the thirtysomething boxes of food to her car, gave the employee a tip, thanked him again, took off for school, dodged a twister, made it to school, called Alik to ask him to bring some other student, they came, helped with the boxes, and now everyone was happily munching away on the Pizza.
And Hana was tired as frag.
But….. she didn't let it show.
"So, who's the lucky person, you've got a crush on?" Hana teased Alik who blushed furiously as he took small bites of his Hawaiian pizza.
"No one," Alik mumbled quickly. And Hana chuckled at his reaction to her question.
"Oh, "no one", huh?" Hana grinned, an eyebrow arched at Alik who blushed even more, "So you weren't practically glaring at Sierra in jealousy."
Alik ducked his head sheepishly, "Sorry, it's just that she has-"
Hana pouted as Alik cut himself off from saying the name.
"-My crush's attention the majority of the time," Alik said, a frown deepening on his lips, "I'll never get noticed by him, because he's always looking at her."
Hana couldn't help but smile as she placed her hand on his, making the boy look up at her, "I am sure that your crush noticed you a lot more than you think," Hana told him confidently.
Alik lightened up at that, "Really!?"
Hana chuckled, "He's always glancing over at you in art with the most adorable expression on, of course he notices you," she smiled as a goofy smile appeared on Alik's face.
The boy didn't even ask how Hana knew that his crush was Jackson "Jack" Darby. The woman just left Alik to his happy thoughts about the blue eyed male.
Hana smiled as she sat down beside Alice Porter, "Mind if I stay?" She asked the girl who was typing on her phone.
"Sure, go ahead if you want," Alice shrugged, glancing up to give the teacher a small smile before going back to her furious typing.
"What are you doing?" Hana asked her curiously.
The girl's hands froze for a second as she narrowed her eyes at Hana for any sign of any other intention, only for the teacher to come up clean. Alice sighed, "I'm designing an app that is meant to help lonely people find other people to befriend online. It'll compare interests, and dislikes before it recommends a person to the people who'll be using it."
Hana nodded, "Sounds incredible, how long have you been working on it?"
Alice shrugged, "Three or four years or so. There's quite a few coding errors and I have a friend helping me out," her thumb hovered over the tiny chat that she had open in the corner of her phone's screen.
Hana smiled softly, "Well, I hope you complete it."
A genuine smile spread across Alice's face, "Thanks," she nodded, a happy feeling spreading across her body that someone other than "Soundwave" actually liked her idea.
Hana sighed as she spotted a couple boys(Andrew and James) playing swords with her paintbrushes, "I better go stop them before they break something," She said, standing up and giving her farewell to Alice before going to scold the boys.
She may not have as many rules as other teachers, but hell would pay if anyone broke a single one of her paintbrushes.
Alice chuckled to herself as she watched her art teacher snatch the brushes from the boys, before her phone vibrated and she quickly responded to "Soundwave".
'Sorry, I just watched my art teacher scold some morons. I'm back now.'
A laughing emoji appeared after a few seconds and Alice smiled.
Here's chapter six.
Pizza for everyone!🍕
Because Alik is going to be Jack's love interest, Alice will have her own plot in my stories.
Yes this is during One shall Rise. Yes, the quartet are skipping school. I couldn't be bothered to fix up my plot so here we go.
Should I post the next chapter today?
Hope you enjoyed!
