"Even the strongest can fall."

Waking up at midnight wasn't in Hana's plans, at least until she opened her front door to see Alik standing there with tear stains on his cheeks. His school bag and a suitcase by his feet.

Hana didn't speak as she invited the teen in then guided her student into a spare bedroom.

She stood at the doorway for a second before leaving the teen to get more comfortable in his new arrangements.

Hana moved tiredly to the kitchen and made two cups of hot chocolate(surprisingly another of Megatron's favourites). She plopped a couple marshmallows in and picked both mugs up and walked back to the room Alik was staying in.

The young male was sitting on the edge of the bed, just staring at his slightly shaking hands. His eyes red as his tear tracks dried slightly.

"I brought you a cup of hot chocolate," Hana said quietly, placing the mug on the bedside table beside him.

"Thank you," Alik's croaky voice came out quietly.

Hana smiled softly as she crouched down and placed a hand on his leg, "It's going to get better," she promised him, "If you want to talk about it, I'm right here. But don't feel like you have to."

Alik nodded silently, another tear slid down his cheek at the kindness that his teacher(of all people) was showing him.

Hana sat next to her student with her hot chocolate in her hands, she lightly blew the stream that was rising off the cup and took a small sip of the hot drink.

Alik was silent for a while before he rested his head quietly against Hana's shoulder, longing for any positive contact from another person after such a draining afternoon/evening.

Hana smiled lightly as she wrapped an arm around him and he relaxed into her warm, protective, and comfortable grasp.

They stayed that way, awake until sunrise.

Hana had to cancel her morning coffee with Grace because she'd rather take care of the very emotional teen than get another session of pestering from her friend about who her "boyfriend" was and why she hadn't told her about the "boyfriend" yet.

Hana watched sadly as Alik barely touched his pancakes(even Soundwave likes pancakes!(that one time the silent mech visited her was rather amusing as Megatron tried to explain why his oldest friend(other than Orion Pax) suddenly decided to tag along/show up at her house. Let's just say that the three had fun with Pancakes. Two in particular had more fun than the last one.)), "You don't have to eat them if you don't want to," she reassured him.

Alik looked up, a sheepish smile on his face, "Sorry, Ms. I just got lost in thought."

Hana knew the feeling all too well, but… "If you're staying here with me, there's no need to call me Ms. Or Ms. Smith, just call me Hana, Alik," she smiled as the teenager chuckled quietly.

"Thanks for breakfast, Hana," Alik smiled gratefully at her, he couldn't even begin to express the gratitude he felt for his teacher taking him in the night before.

Hana waved it off, "It's no biggie," She shrugged, before she sighed, "Are you coming to school today, or would you rather have a day off?"

Alik's surprise at the offer was evident immediately. The gobsmacked look on his face made Hana frown even more.

"Alik?" Hana said the teen's name and he snapped out of his shock.

"I think I'll be fine to go to school," Alik nodded, "But thanks for the offer."

Hana nodded, "Do you need lunch money?" She asked softly.

Alik's face scrunched up as he remembered that he actually had no money at all, "I don't thin-"

Hana rolled her eyes, "Alik, if you need something just ask," she cut his lie off, "I've had a lot of practice telling when someone is lying," Hana explained when she saw his puzzled look, "So I would recommend that you don't even try lying in this household."

Alik nodded sheepishly, "Thank you, Ms- Hana," he corrected himself when he saw Hana's eyebrow raise.

Hana smiled, "Finished?" She asked.

Alik glanced down to his breakfast to find that he had indeed eaten his breakfast, "Uh, yeah  thanks again," he blushed.

Hana laughed, and the teen couldn't help but smile, as she picked up their breakfast dishes and loaded them into the dishwasher.

"Come on, kid," Hana grinned as she wiped her hands on a tea towel after putting the dishwasher on quickly, "Don't want to be late for school, do we?"

Alik grinned, Hana's smile was just purely infectious, "No, ma'am," he mock saluted her.

The woman rolled her eyes, amused, "Let's go soldier," Hana teased as they grabbed their bags and headed to the teacher's car for a day that they wouldn't expect to see coming.

Here's Chapter Five.

Poor Alik.

I'm sorry there was like no Megatron in this chapter, but why he wasn't there will be explained(/shown) in the next couple of chapters.

Hope you enjoyed!
