"You left me!!"

"I'm sorry!!!"

This was never how my morning goes. It was always in order. 7:20-Wake up, 8:00-tell mum good morning, 8:10-make breakfast, 8:25-get on the bus, 8:45-arrange locker and 9:00-first class.

I don't know where Ciara came from but she crushed it from 8:25. She had made me miss the bus. She made me late all because she wanted to see my mum to ask how she was doing and my mum never ever wakes up early!

Then to compensate me, she took me in her annoying jaguar to school and by the time I got there, thanks to traffic, it was 8:55. What time did I have to arrange my locker? And I had to arrange it! It was like my morning medicine.

Let's just say I was late to my first period because of that and I got a warning for it. A WARNING!!! What has my life become?!

"I said I'm sorry!!" She whined into my ear.

Because of my disorder, I can't play or participate in any gym sport except dodge ball. The couch hates me. However, they were doing racing today so I've been benched, meaning I get to sit beside Ciara for the rest of the period and that means I have to confront her about her ditch yesterday.

"You should have told me you were leaving?"

"I'm sorry." She huffed. "I got carried away by the moment."

"Well then, I hope you enjoyed your time because mine was terrible." I looked away from her to the field where the coach was going on about stamina.

"I never expected Tom's kiss to be that terrible."

How did she...? I totally forgot those idiots were from the same school with me.

"They've already started spreading rumors huh?"

Ciara rose a brow at me. "Rumors? Yeah, they'll talk about it but they won't spread it especially since Tom was involved."

"Then how did you know?" I asked curiously.

"Tom told us when he called to ask where I was. Honestly, he didn't seem the least bit disturbed by it."

She gave a lazy shrug and I frowned. I didn't really know what to make of that. Did the kiss affect him or not because it definitely affected me.

The bell rang and Ciara decided to wait for me while I got my jacket out of the locker room.

Unlike when the football players are in the locker room, the locker room with runners doesn't smell all that bad. Football players work up a lot of sweat compared to runner so when 11 plus of them enter, it is like hell. How do I know this when I am not on the team? I was once their water boy.

How I got there was through punishment. I hadn't participated in any sport and I missed all my dodge ball classes so coach made me be their water boy for a whole year. Talk about depressing.

But the good part was that I got to see Tom up close. He had first caught my attention by scoring an unexpected goal and when I get away from home, I always find him on the field.

He kept practicing and practicing but no one took notice of him. Just the former captain and co-captain. He wasn't even in the former captain's tight ring of friends making the chances of him ever being captain, small. But Tom did it anyway and I am glad I was there to see it.

The little breeze that brushed my face when my locker slammed close had me taking a step back. I hadn't closed it even if I were absent minded because I would have done it in a less violent and noisy way.

"Well, if it isn't the faggot?" Mark's voice rang out beside me and I quickly turned to him.

I released my breath when I saw it was only Ian he was with and the crowd seemed to have gone down. I gave him a blank stare and said, "I'm not a faggot so mind your words with me."

He smirked, "Or what? You'll report us to Tommy?"

Putting on my jacket, I said, "If a girl wasn't waiting for me, I would have sat down to listen to your rubbish but Ciara's waiting. Maybe next time?"

The two moped at me in surprise but I didn't have time to lecture them about how stupid they were for thinking they could intimidate me because Ciara started banging on the door, saying, "Do you know how annoying it is to stand in front of the boy's locker room? Yale, get your ass out here!"

"Coming." I shouted back and took off without another word to those boys.

"What took you so long?" Ciara's frowning face was the first thing I saw.

I just shook my head and started for the cafeteria but I hadn't gotten far before those boys attacked me. Someone held on to my hair but when I saw Ian's hazel eyes in front of me, I knew who it was.

"Yale!" My eyes quickly darted to find Ciara in the small crowd that had formed.

"Don't worry. Go along without me. I'll see you in math class."

She scowled, "You are just an idiot. I'm getting help."

And as she ran away, I felt the first blow connecting to my cheeks. The attack surprised me that it made me bite my tongue.

Reasons why I don't like to get noticed. Idiots like this tend to take away that spotlight.

Ian started for another but I quickly grabbed his fist and twisted his arm to his back giving me the chance to hit my head against Mark's nose. He let go of me with a grunt and I slammed Ian against the locker.

"Seriously. When will people learn how to play with people their own size?" I complained as I pulled away. "Do I look that pathetic to you?"

"You are pathetic." Mark spat as he held his bleeding nose. "After what you did yester-" he wasn't allowed to speak before a book flew out of nowhere and struck him hard on the head.

He yelped then turned towards the direction the book came from. "Who threw that?!" he shouted at the crowd.

"Me you idiot!" Vivian glared at him as she came forward with Sasha and Prim. "What do you think you are going moron?"

"It's none of your business."

Someone held my hand then pulled me out of the crowd. At first, I thought it was Ciara but women's hands are never that hard. Zac's soft brown eyes held mine as he dragged me away from the crowd saying, "Ciara called. Are you fine?"

I snatched my hand away from him and stopped in my tracks, "Why do you care? Aren't they your friends?"

Zac stopped too then rose a brow at me, "And Ciara said you were the smart one?"

"Is that supposed to be a joke?"

"Think about it. Would I send those guys after you when I know it would affect Ciara? She hates bullies and is quite a fair person. Why would I hurt you and jeopardize what Ciara and I have going on? Why would I even hurt you?"

Just staring into his eyes I could see no threat there so I let my guard down a little and said, "Okay. Where's Ciara?"

"Cafeteria like you asked. Come on, we are almost late." He said with a smirk. "By the way, bravo on your fight skills. Where did you learn how to fight like that?"

"Summer camp." I replied plainly.
