Seventeen:
Eichen House

Magenta turned around and dropped her bag before she ran down the stairs. She pushed the door open before running towards the parking lot to see Stiles was being attacked.  Before she could do anything, Stiles hit Donovan with a wrench. Stiles ran towards Magenta before the two watched as Donovan was getting up.

"This isn't good." Magenta commented.

"Your telling me." Stiles replied before the two took off running into the school. Magenta made a mental note of taking Stiles running in the morning, before they stopped at a corner. They took off again, Magenta following Stiles, since he appeared to know where to go.

"Stiles, do you have your card?" Magenta asked Stiles in a hurry. She left her card in her bag with was in the library, the place they were trying to enter. Stiles nodded before swiping his card, the two entered in the libary and we're taking deep breaths. Their eyes widen when they realized that Donovan was at the doors. Stiles went ahead and hid behind a book shelve while Magenta hid behind the other.

Her ears were able to pick up noises, phone noises.

"You dropped your phone." Donovan stated. Magenta reached for her pocket to realize that her phone was in her bag, she couldn't text for help. "It's Malia. Should I text her back? You don't really know who I am, do you, Stiles? Maybe you heard about my father." Donovan started to go into a story. "Did your dad tell you about him? Did Sheriff Stilinski ever tell you about the time he was still deputy and his partner got caught in a shoot-out? Did he tell you a bullet shattered my dad's T-9 vertebra? Went right through his spinal cord? Know what that means? It means everything below his waist is useless. And not just his legs. I bet he told you some of it. But I bet he probably left out the part where he was sitting in a car calling for backup while my dad was going in alone. Did he tell you that he was too scared, too much of a frightened little bitch to go in after him? Or do scared little bitches not tell their little bitch sons about their failures?"

Magenta looked at Stiles, fear was consuming her while she tried her best not to pull a Steve Rogers. Especially since she didn't want to get caught at the moment.

"About how they put their partner in a wheelchair for the rest of his life? " Magenta and Stiles heard Donovan's foot steps going up the stairs. The couple, moved to the side of the bookshelf that Magenta was hiding at. They were careful to try and not to get caught before a pair of hands grabbed Stiles by the neck, scaring Magenta. It pulled Stiles back against the bookshelf and onto the floor. Magenta doesn't know if she was a werecoyote or a werewolf, but fangs and claws appeared.  She quickly ran and kicked Donovan in the side, letting Stiles climb up a piece of equipment. Donovan quickly got up before trying to grab Stiles, but Magenta blocked him. She pushed him back but wasn't quick enough to dough Donovan when he threw a punch at her face.

Magenta fell on the floor before Donovan went ahead and grabbed Stiles leg.

"Don't worry, Stiles. I'm not gonna kill you or your girlfriend. I'm just gonna eat your legs in front of your girlfriend." Donovan assured Stiles.

"How does all of Beacon Hills knows were dating?" Magenta asked, getting up. She stood up before she tried to take Donovan off of Stiles. Trying to stop the crazy boy from eating her boyfriends legs.

"Magenta!" Stiles yelled. Magenta looked up to see what he was going. She quickly threw herself off to the side before he released hell. Magenta got up from the floor and turned around to see a support beam went right through Donovan. She took a few steps closer and listened as Stiles got off and join her side. The couple both took a hold of the pole, ready to take it out of Donovan's chest before he died and the Mercury substance leaked out.

"9-1-1 what's your emergency?" the female voice came out of the school phone. "9-1-1, please state your emergency. You've reached 9-1-1, this line is for emergencies only. If you do not have an emergency please hang up."

"Want me to send a car out? What's the address?"

"It's the school. Beacon Hills High."

"Let's see if we got a car in the area." the line went dead. Magenta stared at the dead body, while her bag rested against her back. She was able to wash off the blood with the water fountain and have the blood go away. She turned to face her boyfriend, her partner in crime before they head towards the door. Magenta opened the door before realizing something, she grabbed a book and fixed it against the crack. The two then heard a phone buzzing, causing Stiles to look back.

Magenta turned around and watched as Stiles grab his phone from a dead body. The two immediately left the building and ran towards Stiles jeep.

The top was still up and Magenta and Stiles quickly tried to make the jeep work. With the little knowledge that Magenta picked up from her dad about cars, they were able to fix the jeep. Stiles put the top back down before the two ran into the jeep and quickly shut the door. Stiles started the jeep while the two took deep breaths. The two heard the sirens, Stiles took his time before he turned off the headlights and parked the jeep in the shadows and turned off the jeep.

The two watched as the officer headed into the school while panting. They were scared what would happen. The officer came back outside and Magenta was able to hear very little until Stiles turned something on.

"Dispatch, I'm 10-97 and there's no one here. It's a 653."

"Roger that. Prank call. Return to your patrol." Magenta turned to face Stiles, with a confused look on her face.

"Prank call?" Magenta asked.

"Something's not right." Stiles answered. The two quickly got off the jeep before heading back to the crime scene. The two entered the building and noticed it was spotless, no body, no blood. Minus the little bit that Magenta was able to smell and that Stiles found. Magenta looked at Stiles's shoulder and quickly placed a hand and over it. He flinched at the sudden pain while Magenta healed it. She was only able to do so much before she couldn't heal anymore.

"This is all the energy I have to heal you." Magenta told her boyfriend.

Magenta woke up at Stiles yelling. She got off his bed and walked towards the boy who was under alot of stress. She watched as he touched the shoulder that she tried to heal.

"Stiles." Magenta called out. Stiles turned around and hugged Magenta, they were both in the same position. Both of them were responsible for death of Donovan. They jumped apart when Stiles's phone started ringing.

"Scott?" Stiles answered, holding onto Magenta's hand.

"Stiles, someone's taking the bodies." Stiles let go of Magenta's hand. Magenta offered him a weak smile before she turned around and erased what Stiles was writing. "Stiles? You there?"

"Yeah." Stiles answered. "Where? What are you talking about?"

"I'm at the Animal Clinic with Kira. Tracy's body is gone. The lock on the door was broken from the outside. And my mom told me Lucas' body is missing from the morgue. They're searching the whole hospital for it. Someone's stealing the bodies."

"Hello?" Lydia asked. Magenta still didn't know why she agreed to go to the place she almost died. "Anyone there?"

"Looks like no one is home." Magenta commented. Her stomach was hurting from the souls trapped in a body from inside Eichen House. The gate finally opened.

"You were saying?" Lydia asked Magenta.

"If I pass out, I'm blaming it all on you." Magenta mumbled.

"We told you that you didn't have to go." Kira stated.

"I just want to vist my grave yard." Magenta replied. The pack minus Malia and Augustus enter Eichen House.

"Please empty your pockets into the container." The worker told them.

"We're here to see . . ." Scott started off.

"Please empty your pockets into the container." The man repeated. Magenta fished out her IPhone, twenty dollars, lip balm and a hair tie from the pockets of Stiles' hoodie. The marron one with his lacrosse number on the back that he let her borrow. She placed the items into the container before she paused for a second.

"If you dare go onto my Netflix account, instagram or snapchat. I will make sure you never use another social media ever again."

"Please remove your belt and place it into the container." The man told Kira. Ignoring Magenta's threat.

"I kind of need the belt. I mean, it's crucial to the outfit." Kira tried to keep her belt.

"Please remove your belt, which patients will attempt to take from you and use to strangle either themselves or others." the man explained.

"Right. Got it." Kira took off her belt.

"I'll remind you that I'm only doing this as a favor to Deaton. And I'm doing it against my better judgment." The older man explained to the group as they followed him down stairs.

"Hey, what's the etiquette for talking to this guy?" Stiles asked. "I mean, do you ever look at the other eye?"

"I wouldn't. In fact, while you're down here, try not to make eye contact with anyone or anything."

They were able to make it at the end of the hall, minus Scott and Kira. Magenta frowned and turned around.

"You didn't think you were all going, did you?" The older man asked.

"It's Mountain Ash, isn't it?" Scott asked.

"Everywhere, but heavily concentrated down here." He unlocked the door. "Valack's cell is the last one at the end of the hall."

The three teens glanced back to look at their two friends.

"We'll be right here." Scott assured. Magenta nodded before following Stiles amd Lydia. They walked slowly before they made a turn to see may creatures that scared Magenta. She was tempted to ask if they ever saw Supernatural but decided against it. But the one before Valack's cell, Magenta was able to caught the glimpses of Ezra.

"Tell me what you just saw." Valack commanded them.

"Me?" Stiles asked.

"The creature in the previous cell. The Sluagh. The myth is that they can take on the appearance of the lost souls that have become inextricably bound to it. Happen to see any lost souls, Mr. Stilinski, Ms. Regina?"

"A young boy." Magenta answered. She thought she helped the lost soul, but it appears she still wasn't done.

"Everyone down here." Stiles replied.

"Don't give up on us yet. We're all works-in-progress." Valack told them. "

Where did you hear that from?" Lydia asked.

"Wise words from a former cellmate." He got up and headed towards the three teens. Stiles hand had managed to find its way into Magenta's. "Did you bring the book?"

Stiles reached behind him and pulled out the book before showing it to Valack.

"Very nice. First edition. Of course, there was only one printing." Valack commented.

"There is no T.R. McCammon, is there?" Lydia asked.

"No."

"You wrote the book." Lydia realized.

"That's right, Lydia. Maybe you've already guessed that it's not just a book."

"Then what?" Magenta asked.

"A tool. Designed to open your eyes." Valack answered.

"To what?" Stiles asked.

"To them." Magenta then realized that Valack was talking about the Dread Doctors.

"The Dread Doctors."

"Why did you use a pseudonym?" Lydia questioned.

"I had a professional reputation once. I wasn't interested in ruining it by putting my name on a second-rate piece of trash." Valack explained.

"Then why write the book in the first place?" Stiles asked.

"Clearly it doesn't make sense." Magenta stated.

"You haven't read it yet, have you? I wrote it because no one believed me. Because no one listened. They're here, aren't they? In Beacon Hills."

"What are they?" Lydia asked.

"Not entirely human. At least, not anymore. They were scientists once. Scientists who worshipped the supernatural. Tesla said, "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms if energy, frequently and vibration." They found their secrets in electromagnetic forces. Ways to prolong their lives, give them power, and most importantly, making you forget you ever saw them."

"What do they want?" Lydia asked.

"A good question, Lydia." Valack commented. "Everybody wants something, don't they?"

"Okay, so, what do you want?" Stiles asked. Valack held out a voice recorder.

"We have to sing? I can hit certain high notes." Magenta offered.

"Hit record. And your not singing." Valack told them.

"What do you want me to say? Especially if we're not singing." Lydia asked.

"I don't want you to say or sing anything. I want you, Lydia, to scream." Valack answered. Lydia grabbed the voice recorder which Stiles took out of her hand.

"No way. Not happening. Sorry." Stiles denied. The three came together into a circle.

"Stiles, let Lydia do it." Magenta told her boyfriend.

"He's the only one that knows anything." Lydia tried to convince Stiles.

"The guy is a nut-job who drilled a hole into his head." Stiles pointed out. "He's probably lying his ass off."

"I don't know why we're whispering. He's right there." Magenta added in. She couldn't help not pass up the opportunity of a potential Pitch Perfect 2 reference.

"How many have died so far? All of them teenagers. Am I right? Want to know how many died the first time they came here? I wonder how many will die if they succeed?" Valack questioned.

"This did happen before." Lydia started.

"And clearly in a horror movie style." Magenta commented.

"And now they're back. All because of a few teenagers, who never even considered the consequences, decided to reignite a supernatural force they barely understand."

"The Nemeton." Lydia answered.

"How do you even know about that?" Stiles asked.

"I don't even know." Magenta added on.

"I know because I saw it." Valack took off his towel to reveal a hole in his forehead. They have seen something that they can't unseen.

"Who did you come with?" Valack asked.

"Our friends." Magenta answered.

"What are they?" Valack asked.

"Don't answer." Stiles told the two girls he cared dearly about.

"You brought a Kitsune." Valack figured out.

"So much for not telling him." Magenta commented, while the lights flicked on and off. The lights behind them blew.

"What's happening?" Lydia asked. Magenta felt Stiles tighten his grip on her hand.

"She's disrupting the building's defenses." Valack answered.

"What do you mean? How?" Lydia asked.

"It's not just the Mountain Ash that keeps this building secure. It's the electromagnetic energy. Eichen is built on the convergence of telluric currents. Ley lines. It's what allows it to keep certain supernatural creatures in. And certain others out. They knew you were coming. They're here. And you unlocked the door for them."

Magenta could hear noises, noises that weren't okay for her ears.

"Hit record. Do it now. It cots you nothing." Valack spoke in a rush.

"But it's worth something to you, so you're not getting it for free." Stiles told Valack .

"What does the book do?" Lydia asked.

"Tell us." Stiles tried to force it out of Valack.

"I told you. It opens your eyes." Valack answered.

"How?" Lydia asked.

"It triggers the memory centers of the brain, clearing the fog and bringing the images of the Dread Doctors into focus. I write the book in an effort to find out if anyone else like me had ever seen them before. I thought I could circulate it, and effort to trigger someone . . . Anyone's else's memory. They'd see the cover, a hint of memory. They pick up the book, read it. The suppressed memories surface, and they'd find their way to me discover more. Just like you did."

"Did it work with anyone else?" Stiles asked.

"You didn't see it on The New York Times Best Seller list, did you?"

"No. Just saw John Green." Magenta answered in a panic. She didn't know why she can't stop making comments in the worst of times.

"So, all we have to do is read the book?" Lydia asked.

"If you've seen them, if they've done something to you, then the book will help you remember. Now give me what I want." Stiles handed Lydia the recorder before Lydia hit record and screamed. Lydia quickly put it back in the exchange box.

"Tell us what they want." Lydia asked. Magenta was hanging off of Stiles, Lydia's scream have temporarily damaged her ears. And she felt weaker by the second.

"Lydia, I think we need to get out of here." Stiles told Lydia, basically carrying Magenta.

"What are they trying to do?" Lydia asked.

"Read the book." Valack answered. "Anyone who's come into contact with them."

"Lydia, we gotta go. Now." Stiles carried Magenta who couldn't stand anymore. He carried the weak girl and lead Lydia into a room, they were all against the wall in a room. Magenta heard a echoing scream, it wasn't nice to her ears.

"I think we're okay." Lydia whispered before taking a look at her female friend. "Most of us. Stiles? Magenta?"

Magenta's ears had a little of blood coming from it while her arms were wrapped around Stiles.

"No, it's not okay. All of this, it's on us. Everything that's happened, everything that's going to happen, it's our fault." Stiles answered.

"It's our responsibility." Lydia answered.

"The souls. It's to much." Magneta stated. Magenta then let out a scream when she heard Lydia's banshee scream. More blood came out of her ears before she passed out.

If you are wondering where Augustus was, he was at the hospital helping his dad. Not with Malia and Theo. Where the fudge am I? I don't even remember the last time I updated. I'm horrible. But school starts Monday.
