Shamrock Hills

The sun shines bright
swinging hammock
binocular sight
rug of weed and shamrock
under the yagrumo tree
falling dry leaves
one side silver
brown the other
chartreuse slopes
the breeze brings hopes
with the nearby shower
a cold beer in hand
the best view where I stand
jade valleys, purple lakes
and the poet awakes
to the beautiful land.
