I didn't see The Doctor since that day but I kept believing that he would still come back as he promised to me he would. I was turning 15 today and I was still in the orphanage on this day I laid on my bed looking at the key on the chain that was still hanging around my neck. My eyes snapped up to the sound of my door being knocked I looked towards it and sighed.

"Who is it?" I didn't expect someone to still be there let alone answer.

"Just get downstairs someone's here to see you for some reason. As if anyone would want to" I sighed since the day that I met The Doctor I had allowed myself to not care what other people thought about my eyes they were a part of me and I couldn't change that. This lead to more people disliking me as I wasn't even trying to hide my strange eyes. I got up and walked to the door as I was pretty high up in the building I had to walk down quite a few flights of stairs. When I got to the bottom of the stairs I saw the strict, mean woman who ran the orphanage looking down at me with cold hatred aimed towards me. 

"Ah Effie, I see you have finally decided to grace us with your presence" I rolled my eyes at her attitude which she glares at she then roughly grabs my arm. "Look here you freak of nature. Someone here has asked to speak with you specifically I don't know how they know you specifically unless you've been talking to them and you better not of been blabbing about this place" I just looked down making her grip tighten. "Just stay quiet unless your spoken to" She then dragged me to her office door and then let go of my arm before opening the door. When the door was open my eyes widened in shock as I saw The Doctor sat down in front of the desk. With him was a young girl she was older than me but not to old by looking at her she looked about 19. I felt the leader of the orphanage nudge me slightly as I realized my eyes had changed color to yellow due to the surprise of The Doctor coming back. I saw him smiling at me and the young blonde haired girl smiled kindly at me. I looked up making sure my eyes remained purple the leader of the orphanage placed a hand on my shoulder to others it might look friendly but I knew it was a quiet message to me to behave. "Okay sir, miss, this is the girl that you wanted to see" The Doctor stood up and smiled at me. 

"so then have you got the papers we need?" The Doctor asked now I was confused the leader of the orphanage sighed and went behind her desk pulling out several pieces of paper. She places them on the desk and grabs a pen to hand to The Doctor pulling the pen away looking at him. 

"Now are you sure about this? Do you really want to deal with her?" I raised my eyebrow but he just scowled at the leader and grabbed the pen before signing the paper. He nodded and smiled.

"Right we're off" Him and the blonde girl began to walk away before he turned to me saying. "well come on" My eyes turned yellow but I ran after The Doctor we stopped at the stairway. "Okay go pack a bag and come back" I raised my eyebrow my eyes still yellow in shock at everything. 

"Why? Where are we going? What's going on?" The Doctor smiled.

"You'll see, just go pack a bag and get ready for an adventure" I smiled but ran upstairs avoiding the other kids who were glaring at me I just stuck my tongue out at them. I ran into my room and grabbed a backpack and shoved all my clothes in and ran back downstairs to The Doctor and the blonde girl. They led me to a small blue police box  I already liked it but then I remembered when I was younger. 

"Wait, when I was younger you said that you traveled in space with a spaceship" He smiled nodding. "Is this it?" The Doctor pointed to the chain around my neck. 

"Why don't you use your key to find out?" I smiled and used the key in the police box lock and when I opened it my eyes became an even brighter yellow  as I got to the main part of the room I heard The Doctor behind me. "She's known as The TARDIS, oh and this is Rose Tyler" The blonde girl waved and I then thought of something.

"Hey, so what was the papers that you signed?" The Doctor moved to the console.

"I promised you that I would come back, but I knew that I would have to go through the correct channels, according to Rose I couldn't just offer you a place, so I have legally become your ward" I smiled at this. 

"So your technically my family now?" He stopped for a minute a look on his face that looked like he was hurting inside. But then he smiled.

"Yeah I guess you could say that"
