CH. TWO

I push the glass door open to walk into hell. As soon as I'm inside, the smell of pancakes hit my nose and I look over to see the cafeteria doors wide open, practically begging me to enter them, so I do. I walk over to the door and look inside to see tons of students chatting and stuffing their tired faces with food.
I scan the big room before looking at two people from across the tables. I stare at them as they stare back at me. One waves and the other sits there and keeps staring. I squint my eyes to see who they are. Oh, it's just Tae and Joon. I was confused for a second.
"Hi!" Tae says as I walk towards them. He pulls me into a small hug and lets me go, sitting at the table that we stood at.
"How was your break?" Joon asks me with a smile that showed his dimples. I sit down hesitantly and answer him.
"It was uh-" I look away to avoid lying straight to his face. "I had so much fun, so many parties a-and so many places that I went to." I steal a strawberry from Tae's plate and stuff my face with it to stop myself from lying any more.
I felt bad for lying but I didn't want them to know that I had such a boring break. I didn't want them knowing that I would sit in my room listening to music while waiting for them to text me and ask me to hang out.
They never did. Namjoon had a job over the summer, which led to him barely seeing Tae. When Joon would get a day off, he would go see him. Taehyung went on a two month vacation with his family which led to me being alone basically the whole summer. Now do you see why I want my soulmate to exist?
They both gave me a weird look before Tae snatched the strawberry I picked off of his plate away from me and ate it himself. I didn't realize that I was stealing half of his food until he finally stopped me, but I was in thought.
"How was your summer?" I asked nobody in particular.
"Good." They said at the same time. I looked at them, they were holding hands and staring at each other like they were the last people on earth. It's cute in a creepy way.
"So, you still haven't found anyone yet Kook?" Namjoon asks me to break the silence I held.
"Nope." I said with a forced smile and stood from the table. "Can't find them if I'm looking for them though, Joon. I'll see you guys later, I gotta find the music classroom."
"Okay, bye! See you later!" I hear Tae scream from across the cafeteria as I made my way out of the door with a frown on my face.

I sat in the music classroom and looked at all of the instruments and equipment that was spread everywhere. There was music notes painted on the wall and a piano at the front of the room. There was also a glass door that led into a dance practice room that had mirrors all over the walls to watch yourself, I'm guessing.
It all looked so beautiful and I loved it. Our school sure can act poor, but I've heard that the music teacher literally forced the principle to buy the needed stuff for him. He's got his way of doing things that made it happen easily.
I got in the classroom so early that the teacher wasn't even in here yet. He had obviously came in here though because the door was unlocked. Unless he leaves the room unlocked at all times, but that would be dumb to do.
I hear the door open, but I was too busy pressing piano keys that I didn't even pay attention to the people walking in. I try playing the piano but it comes out weirdly and I cringe at the sound.
"No, no.." I hear someone behind me say. I turn around and I see two people standing behind me as I sat on the piano bench.
One person was shorter than the other but they both had dark hair. One had a bright smile and the other looked sort of dulled down but with a light curve on his mouth. The shorter one scooted me over and began playing the piano way better than I did.
Suddenly, I realized that I could see the color of their hair. I see the color of their skin and the colors that surrounded us. I could see the color of their sparkling eyes and small mouths. They both had bright and suddenly wide eyes. I stood up quickly, causing them to get frightened, but I ignored it due to the fact that I could see color. I see color.
How am I seeing this- these.. things?
I look around with awe as I stare everywhere. I completely forget about the two people next to me and my eyes start to squint up in delight and I could feel my lips curve up and my smile come to life.
I see color. I can actually SEE color!
Is this red? I think as I run my hands over things. Which one of these are red? Why are there so many black and white things in here if color is existing? Why is the piano black and white when it could be- this color? I run my hands over the painting on the wall. It's all so beautiful. I thought it would be amazing to see everything, but that's an understatement.
Wow. Just wow.
I turn around to see that the shorter boy had already sat in a chair, and the other boy was moving to sit next to him. They must be friends or something. They're both so colorful and-
Wait.. if I see color then- then that means..
My soulmate?
But which one was it? Which one of these boys were the one that made me see color? Why did I not pay attention to that? Probably because I was too busy examining colors like it was a Christmas Day gift. Shit.
They obviously see color too, right? If we are soulmates then they should see it. Why are both of them calm? Which one is it? Which one is my damn soulmate? Reveal yourself, I wanna spoil your ass until the day we die.
I look at them both, they were both pretty good looking people. I don't know their names or anything about them. How could this happen to me of all people?
I've been waiting for years to find my soulmate, and now that I've found them I don't even know which one it is..
God, why do you hate me?
