CH. FOUR

Jungkook

Mr. Kim began writing big letters on the board. His wide shoulders blocked everyone from the view to see what he was writing, so we waited until he stopped and turned around with a big smile and hands on his hips to see that he had wrote our project name.

The board had "Music Project" written on it. It's a music class, what else was I expecting?

I look over at Hoseok and Yoongi, they were both listening very closely as the teacher spoke. They had excited eyes and smiles on their lips. I turn around to look at Tae who was also listening, but not as intense as the other two.

"You are all probably wondering what the project will be, and that's what I'm going to tell you next." Mr. Kim said as he picked up a small stack of papers. "I'm going to separate you into groups of five for this project so that it will be more simple to do." He said which causes everyone to groan.

"Don't get so angry at me yet, you didn't let me finish!" Mr. Kim slightly pouted which caused me to let out a light laugh. "I'm letting you choose the people in your group so that it will be more fun to work with." He smiled.

Everyone let out sighs of relief and looked around the room to chat with their friends.

"Wait!" Mr. Kim said "Don't start talking yet! Let me finish for once!" He whined.

Everyone's talking died down and they turned to face him as he started passing out the papers again. He got to my desk and put the little white paper down on it. I picked it up and glanced at it for a second.

"The project with be easy." Mr. Kim explained. "All you have to do is write a song. It can be any topic, any genre and any type of music you want. It just has to be at least three minutes long and it is due next week. Now find your group and begin working! Good luck!" He said as he walked slowly back to his desk.

My eyes widened as I stare at the paper. It had a list of things to do and to have done on it.

Good Luck Students!

I can't do this. I've never written a song in my life. I only like to admire music that other people have written. Maybe I could sing? No. I don't want the whole classroom to hear me singing. Why did I even take this class?

I look over at the other three boys to see them already talking about it and they all look so hype about it. Opposite from me, they're glad to have this project. Mr. Kim said it would be a fun project but the only person that isn't having fun right now is me.

"I've already written so many songs, it's unreal. This is so perfect guys, we basically already have ours done!" Yoongi said as he smiled a beautiful gummy smile.

"But who's going to sing?" Tae and Hoseok looked over at me and then back at each other. They smiled and then Tae grabbed my shoulder. "I know you are shy when it comes to these things, but we need someone to sing." He said and I brushed off his hand.

"No way." I bluntly said and turned around.

"Why not?" Hoseok whined and I turned to him to see him pouting.

"I don't sing." I said and crossed my arms.

"That's a lie." Yoongi said and crossed his arms as well, leaning back in his seat while staring into my eyes. "I heard you singing when we came in earlier, you're really good at it in my opinion." He said which caused me to smile to myself, hiding my face in return.

  "I-I don't know-"

"Hi." Someone said, causing us all to turn towards the voice. It was a short guy who had a lighter color hair that I couldn't identify. The only colors I could identify is black and white anyways. The kid looked kind of young and he had a cute little face and small figure. He was standing shyly in front of us with a small smile on his face.

"C-can I work with you guys?" He mumbled. "I- I don't really have any friends yet. I just moved here." He said shyly.

"Of course." Tae and Hoseok said at the same time. I looked at Hoseok as he looked at the smaller boy. "What's your name?" Hoseok asked and smiled so brightly that it blinded me.

  "J-Jimin." He said. "Park Jimin."

Jimin stares at Hoseok who was staring back at him, causing me to furrow my eyebrows and move in closer to him. "Anyways," I said slowly, wrapping an arm around Hobi. "We do need a fifth person, so just sit next to Tae." I said, pointing at my best friend.

Jimin sat down shyly in the seat next to Taehyung, giving me a weird look. I looked at Tae who was ripping out a piece of paper. He began writing something, then he folded the paper and handed it to me, causing me to unwrap my hands away from Hoseok.

I unfolded the piece of paper in my hands and looked at it with a confused expression.

  Which one is it?

I grabbed my pencil and began writing back.

I think it's Hoseok. He said he saw color for the first time today but he wouldn't tell me who his soulmate is. So... Idk..

I gave the note to Tae after folding it up. Mr. Kim popped out of nowhere and snatched the note from Tae's hand and opened it and began reading it to himself.

"See me after school." He said, folding up the paper and handing it back. Tae unfolded it and began to read. He opened his mouth to say something but someone interrupted him.

"Are you guys done passing love notes, or are we going to work on this?" Yoongi said coldly to Taehyung in particular.

"S-sorry." Tae said and put the paper in his notebook. "W- What are we doing?"

"While you two were busy, we decided to let Jungkook do the singing, I'm going to rap while Hoseok and Jimin do choreography. They said it would be a nice touch to add in to the song, so it's happening." Yoongi said with crossed arms and an annoyed face. "I don't know what you're doing Taehyung. Find out."

Tae's mouth formed a frown as he sat there. "I'll do the back up vocals." He said with a small fake smile. I rubbed his arm to comfort him and he smiled up at me.

"Great!" Hoseok said with a smile on his face. "We should all meet up to work on this. How about we meet at the studio down the street? They have everything we need to work." Hoseok wiggled his eyebrows and nudged me to agree with him.

"Sure. I'm free anytime." I say with a smile.

"Me too." Yoongi says while glancing at me.

"I-I'm free." Park human said.

"Uh..." Tae began to think. "Namjoon is working so I'm free today."

"Great. I'll send you all the address. Give me your numbers so I can text you." Hoseok said as he took out his phone to put in numbers.

Everyone gave Hobi their numbers except for Yoongi because he already had it. Hobi's hand brushed against mine as I handed him his phone back and I felt...

nothing.

Nothing at all. No spark, no rush in my body, nothing. I felt like he was just another friend. That's weird, I thought you were supposed to feel so many emotions when you were with your soulmate and when you touch them or look at them. Maybe it's just me.

Maybe Hoseok feels it but I can't. Maybe that's it. Am I immune to feeling emotions?

I look up at Hoseok who wasn't paying attention to me. Is he even my soulmate? He has to be, right? He's the one who made me see color, and I'm pretty sure that I'm the one who made him see it as well..

So why is my body telling me otherwise?
