INT. BASEMENT – LATER

Nelson leads the Plaids down the basement. Sage snaps pictures.

HALLEY

What are you taking pictures of?

SAGE

Spiders.

Halley jerks back.

HALLEY

Nelson, will you please explain why we're in the basement?

Nelson stops at a door and faces them.

NELSON

Well, I did have a surprise for you guys behind this door, but I no longer have the key.

TRAVIS

Thanks for throwing me under the bus.

NELSON

I didn't.

TRAVIS

Oh. Well, I'm the one who lost the key. Sorry, guys.

Ashamed, he sticks his hands in his pocket. He frowns. He takes his hand out and opens it. There lies the key.

TRAVIS (CONT'D)

Oh yeah.

Nelson takes it and opens the door.

NELSON

This is my self-portrait project. Welcome to Studio P.

INT. STUDIO P – CONTINUOUS

Everyone enters the room, surprised by what they find. Paintings and other pieces from their art show decorate the walls. Other forms of artwork are scattered through the room among upcycled furniture and sculptures. A ceiling fan hangs above them with tennis racket blades, and beneath it sits a coffee table with a hanging glass dome filled with ball pit balls. The centerpiece is a red sofa with an oddball plaid middle cushion.

HALLEY

This is amazing. How'd you find it?

NELSON

I talked with Principal Peters about getting us a new location for our club and he said we could have this room. It took a little work, but I think it fits us pretty well.

HALLEY

I have one last finishing touch.

She goes into her bag and takes out Principal Peter's uniform sketch. She hangs it up on the door then turns to her friends.

HALLEY (CONT'D)

Welcome home, guys.
