Chapter 15: Legendary

The Red Guard's universe was pathetic. At least to someone was as powerful as The Titaness and her army. She could destroy it if she wanted too, but that wasn't her goal. The destruction would be pointless until the heroes were crushed.

Now, they had broken into a place. Just to discuss their next move. Broken and static-y music played in the background as they all took a seat at a table. Nervous and TERRIFIED people in suits surrounded them.

Golden Guard raised a glass into the air. "To the heroes' hilarious retreat!"

"Retreat?" Cloaker asked, his orange optics narrowing. "Seems to me a job isn't done until it's done."

Andrias lightly smashed the table. "Next time I see them? I will smash them myself! Especially that boy, Hunter. His voice is earbleeding...almost as much as Anne's."

"What's with you all and revenge?" Grom asked. "All I ever wanted was to feed on fear!"

Golden Guard laughed. "Oh, sure! You totally wanted revenge just as much as we all do! In fact, wanted is not the right word."

Grom growled, standing from the table. "WHY YOU..."

Silver Soldier then slammed her fist down on the table, growling. "STOP! EVERYONE! WE ALL WANT OUR OWN THINGS AND REVENGE, BUT THE ONLY WAY WE'RE GOING TO GET IT IS TO TRUST THE EMPEROR!" She exclaimed, gesturing to The Titaness.

The Titaness had just been watching her minions argue like fools. It was amusing. She then grinned. "Thank you, Luz. Yes, everyone...and Grom."

Grom snarled a little, but got a look from Silver Soldier.

"We're frustrated." Titaness said, suddenly using her mechanical arms to slither around the table and sit everyone back down. "But the heroes will be crushed."

"How? We don't even know where they are." Grom argued.

The Titaness put her fingers together, as if she was plotting and thinking. "We simply engineer a situation to force them to be heroes. They'll come. They can't help themselves...check please." She said, facing the waiter across from her.

The waiter gulped, the tray in her hands shaking. "U-Uhh, it's on the house!"

"How kind of you." The Titaness said, wiping her mouth with a napkin. "And wise."

Red Guard grunted, slowly standing up. "...I hope they're all okay. They're kind of our last hope." He then blinked. "And my friends too."

"C'mon, they're six superheroes against an entire army and a mysterious guardian! They'll be fine!" Emira said. "You, on the other hand, better sit down again."

"Emmy, I'm fine." Red Guard said, stumbling a bit before falling into Emira's arms.

Emira smirked at her boyfriend, sitting him back down. "Oh, yeah. You're totally fine, babe."

Red Guard pouted. "Hardy har har."

Red King then went over. "C'mon, Uncle. You need to rest! You're not feeling well!"

Red Guard turned to King and saw that he was using his secret weapon. Puppy eyes and his tail wagging. "...dang your cuteness. Fine, fine, I'll relax for a little bit."

Red King smiled. "Good!"

Kikimora then looked out the window, humming a bit as if she was looking for The Three Stars and The Witches. "I still can't believe that Silver Soldier would go this far just to make sure OUR Day of Unity goes off without a hitch. If anything, THIS messes it up even further."

"Villains are stupid." Red Vee said. "At least that's what Hunter told me!"

Kikimora laughed. "Yes, you're not-" Her eyes then widened and she looked at Eda and Raine. "HIDE EVERYONE! NOW!!!"

That's when the door was smashed in, and Grom slithered in, taking the form of a giant snake. He laughed, grabbing Vee, Eda, and Raine with his tail. "AH, AH, AH! THE FUN'S JUST GETTING STARTED!!!"

"GUYS!!!!" Emira and King shrieked before Cloaker crashed in, grabbing both Emira and King and holding them with an evil cackle.

Red Guard quickly got up, grabbing his staff. But that's when he was lifted by some kind of red and orange aura, dragged outside.

The Titaness floated above him, with Silver Soldier and Golden Guard across from Red Guard. They took out weapons, ready to take him out.

Red Guard coughed, slowly getting up.

"Awww...how sad." Golden Guard chuckled, spinning around his staff and ready to beat his good counterpart into the dirt.

Silver Soldier just spun around her dual swords, grinning wide under her mask.

Red Guard shakily lifted his staff, raising it towards them. "B-Bring it..."

The two charged at him, with Red Guard just barely lifting his staff to block their attacks. He then teleported behind Silver Soldier, kicking her in the back of the head and then landing. He spun around his staff and clashed with Golden Guard. Golden Guard just cackled and kept swinging his staff against Red Guard's over and over again, much faster than the injured hero.

He then spun around, kicking Red Guard's staff out of his hand and lifting him with his staff's magic. He then slammed him into a tree, then through it, and then back over to him.

Red Guard groaned, clearly in pain...yet he still tried to get back up.

"Oh, GIVE UP!" Golden Guard cried, kicking Red Guard back down.

Red Guard cried out in pain, but kept trying. This process repeated over and over again, yet Red Guard STILL kept trying to get up.

Silver Soldier came over, grunting. She then cackled, spinning around her finger and trapping Red Guard in vines. "How unlucky of you, Hunter. I don't need my staff to do magic." She said before punching Red Guard's mask off his face, and then punching him back onto the ground, just to add insult to injury.

Red Guard breathed heavily, still trying to break free or get back up. Even in the tremendous amount of pain he was in.

The Titaness then floated down, snapping her fingers with evil glee. Cloaker and Grom came out, their prisoners in hand. Andrias came out last, igniting his double bladed sword.

"Remember what I told you...?" Titaness smirked. "About how tragedy defines every hero?"

Red Guard's eyes widened in horror and he screamed. "NO!!! DON'T!!! PLEASE!!!"

Andrias smirked before looking at his master, ready to follow her next command.

Titaness floated in the air again before looking at their captives, who kept struggling. "Hmm...let's see. Your only friend?"

Grom lifted Kikimora forward, who thrashed and tried to draw a spell circle, but her hands were rendered useless.

"Your nephew?" Titaness asked, as if she was choosing a guess for a game. "Your sibling? Your 'parents'? Or your precious little Emira Blight?"

"PLEASE!!! LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! TAKE ME!!!" Red Guard screamed, tears streaming down his face. He couldn't lose another piece of his family. Not again...!

Titaness grinned before smirking. "Destroy King."

"NO!!!" Red Guard screamed, his eyes widening in horror.

Cloaker lifted up Red King with an evil cackle, with Andrias raising his flaming blade above the little demon. Red King cried and shrieked, trying with all his might to escape. But then? A silver blur came crashing in, punching Andrias across the face.

It was...Silver Soldier.

"HUH?!" Cloaker cried before he threw aside Emira and Red King and blasted at Silver Soldier, quickly taking her down.

"Traitor. I should've expected." Titaness said, rolling her eyes before using her mechanical arms to grab Silver Soldier and toss her aside like she was as light as a feather. She then quickly blasted at Red King, her evil grin going wide.

But then, someone else flew in, the blast suddenly bouncing off and exploding in the sky.

Titaness smirked before coming face to face...with Luz, who was engulfed in a golden forcefield, which disappeared. "I was wondering when you'd show up, Noceda."

"I never fail to impress!" Luz smirked before the others flew in right beside her, all of their armor shining.

Kikimora laughed. "THEY GOT IT! THEY ACTUALLY GOT IT!!!"

Titaness cracked her fists. "This should be interesting..."
