"So you're a Goddess?" Agent Romanoff asked as I smiled and finished swallowing my food, we'd taken a quick break to grab a bite and get to know each other "That explains why your face is carved to perfection" she chuckled

"Hey my Mother just controlled the Earth, there are many other Gods and Goddesses who I'm sure were like controlling lust and love. You on the other hand, are one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen" I smiled as she blushed slightly. A brief silence feel between the two of us as we continued eating our food until it was broke by Agent Romanoff

"What's it like?" she asked as I froze "Being a Goddess I mean. Like do you see your Mum? Do you have another realm like Thor?" I gave her a small smile and her face dropped, "Of course you don't have to tell me if you don't want" she added

"No it's fine. It's nice to be able to confide in someone. My Mum left me and my Dad on Earth when I was born, I was raised by him until he was mu- erm... until he passed away. I've not seen my Mum since I was born, obviously I have stories of her and her abilities from what my Dad has told me but I don't have any idea what she looks like" I said as Agent Romanoff looked at me with sympathy in her eyes "You know, sometimes when I'm alone, I feel like I can hear her speaking to me. It's a very faint voice in my head. It sort of guides me... Maybe I'm crazy but whatever" I laughed as she joined in "But after my Father passed I ended up needing money, I ended up being an assassin for some people. I've done some pretty horrible things"

"I understand" she said as she placed her hand on mine "I used to be like you too. I was saved by Clint. The guy who is under Loki's spell. I owe him my life" she sighed as she looked down

"Agent Romanoff, all of this stays between us" I said sternly, insuring that she knew that everything I told her was private. "We'll get Clint back safe and sound" I smiled as her head shot up to me

"Call me Nat" her eyes began to fill up with tears, probably from the memories that had come flooding in "Anyway" she wiped away the tears that had filled her eyes. "So what can you actually do with your powers?" I smirked at her and grabbed her hand, leaping up and beginning to guide her to another room

"I'll show you" I said as we both walked towards a training room "So obviously there are the four elements. Water, Earth, Fire and Air. I can manipulate those to my needs" I said as I looked around and saw the water cooler in the corner of the room. With a quick flick of my hand the water butt lifted up and the water fell out of it but didn't hit the ground. I held it mid air as the butt fell down. I threw my hands up to the ceiling and the water followed, as I hit the top I spread my arms out, allowing the water to separate and fall in tiny droplets

"That is so cool!" she exclaimed as she held her hands out to catch the water droplets "It does anything you want it too?" she asked as I nodded

"It's not just present water. I've managed to work on a way to use the water in peoples bodies. I can drown a person from the inside if I concentrate enough" I smiled as she raised her eye brows "I can move the air around me" I said as a swung my arm around, allowing the wind to come behind her and pull her towards me "I can move fire the same way I do water. Although I have been working on conjuring that up myself" I said as I held my finger out and it lit up like a match, a few seconds later it went out "Although that's a work in progress... Obviously you saw me with Loki, I have the ability to have the plants around me grow too" I smiled as she chuckled 

"I might have to hire you to be my roomie, I have a plant that I'm slowly killing because I can't look after it" she chuckled as Steve came in "oh hey Steve, what's up?" she asked 

"Nothing, just came to grab Eleanor. Stark and Dr Banner think they may be close and want to talk to her. Natasha, Fury wants to speak to you" he smiled as he looked at me, I nodded as turned back to Nat

"Well, I'll catch you later! Maybe I'll bring my plant!" Nat shouted as she began to walk to the other exit of the training room, I chuckled and walked over to Steve before we began exiting towards the research lab

"Her plant?" he questioned as I smiled at him

"It's a long story. Anyway how're you doing? Have we got anything out of Loki yet?" I asked

"That's what Fury wants Natasha for. If anyone can get information out of someone it's her" he said as we continued walking. Silence fell between the two of us, it wasn't an uncomfortable silence but a peaceful one. We didn't need to force any kind of convers- "I'm sorry again about the whole distress thing" he said. I spoke too soon.

"It's fine. Honestly I have to admit I do act like one when I need to gain an upper hand" I chuckled as we entered the research lab just as Tony sent a shock into Dr Banners side

"Hey!" Cap and I said in unison "Are you nuts?" Steve continued as we approached both of them 

"Jury's out.. You really have got a lid on it haven't you? What's your secret?" Tony asked Banner as I shook my head at him "Mellow jazz, bongo drums, huge bag of weed?"

"Is everything a joke to you?" I questioned Tony as his head turned to me and Steve

"Funny things are" he said sarcastically as I rolled my eyes

"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny" Steve scowled "No offence, Doc"

"It's alright. I wouldn't have come aboard if I couldn't handle pointy things" he replied as he looked over at Tony 

"You're tip-toeing big man, you need to strut!" Tony smiled as he pointed to Banner

"You need to focus on the problem at hand knucklehead" I spat "Like finding that cube"

"Do you think I'm not?" What an arrogant arsehole? Couldn't we have left him behind and just had Dr Banner locate the cube? He'd have been able to do it alone. "Why did Fury call us in? Why now? Why not before?" he asked as I furrowed my brows "What isn't he telling us? I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables"

"You think Fury's hiding something?" Cap asked as Tony nodded and looked at me

"He's a spy. Captain, he's the spy. His secrets have secrets. It's bugging both of you too isn't it?" Ton said as he motioned to myself and Dr Banner

"Uhhhh.... I just want to finish my work here and-"

"Doctor?" Steve interrupted as Banner sighed and took his glasses off 

"A warm light for all of mankind" he said "Loki's jab at Fury about the cube"

"But that jab wasn't made for Fury..." I inputed as Banner nodded at me

"Well I think that was meant for you" he continued, pointing to Tony "Even if Barton didn't tell Loki about the tower, it was still all over the news"

"The Stark Tower? That big, ugly-" I nudged Steve before he could continue and as Tony threw a glare his way "Building in New York?"

"It's powered by an arc reactor, a self-sustaining energy source. That building will run itself for what, a year?" he confirmed with Tony and Tony shrugged

"It's just a prototype. I'm kind of the only name in clean energy right now" Tony smirked as I scoffed

"Do you want a round of applause or something?" I sassed as he threw me a glare

"That's what he's getting at" he continued

"So why didn't S.H.I.E.L.D bring him in on the Tesseract project? I mean what're they doing in the energy business in the first place?" As much as I hate to admit it, Tony has a point.

"They're probably not wanting to light up the streets of New York City that's for sure" I added on as Tony nodded at me

"I should probably look into that once my decryption program finishes breaking into all of S.H.I.E.L.D's secure files" he smiled as he walked over to the screen of the computer. Hats off to the guy, I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing if I had the opportunity.

"I'm sorry- Did you say" Cap bean saying before Tony cut in

"J.A.R.V.I.S has been running it since I hit the bridge. In a few hours I'll know all every dirty little secret S.H.I.E.L.D has ever tried to hide" he smirked "Blueberry?" he offered us

"Yet you're confused about why they didn't want you around" Steve chuckled

"An intelligence organisation that fears intelligence? Historically, not awesome" Tony said as he came closer to Steve

"I think Loki is trying to wind us up. This is a man who means to start a war and if we don't stay focused, he'll succeed" he said as he looked between Banner and Stark "So why did you need Eleanor here?" he asked as my head shot to him

"Well El, can I call you El?" Stark asked but before I could respond he continued "I was wondering if you knew anything. Because I've heard of everyone on this ship except for you" he said as I blinked at him

"I don't know anything. I was asked to come here to help get the cube with you guys and I was promised I could deal with Loki" I said as I looked at him

"So what beef do you have with Loki?" he asked as I looked at him, not ready to give an answer "Well do you at least have any powers that can help speed up the hacking with J.A.R.V.I.S?" I shook my head as he scoffed at me. Why is he so rude?

"We have orders, we should follow them" Cap interrupted. THANK YOU! I was about to drown this basta-

"Following's not really my style"

"And you're all about style aren't you?" Steve smirked as I looked between the two

"Of the people in this room, which one is A. Wearing a spangly outfit, and B. Not of use?" he asked as he looked at Steve 

"Steve" Banner said as we all looked towards him "Tell me none of this smells a little funky to you"

"Just find the cube" Steve said before leaving, I watched him exit the room and turned my head to Tony

"That's the guy my Dad never shut up about? Sheesh, I'm wondering if they should've kept him on the ice" Tony laughed

"I get it. You're used to being the big shot where you're from and I understand now being threatened because there are people here with power above yours Tony... But there's no need to be an arse about it" I said as I walked out of the room, ready to find Steve. I looked left and right and caught sight of him walking away "STEVE!" I called out but he already turned the corner away from me, I jogged up and followed him, he was going the wrong way to the main room. Where are you going Captain Rogers? I followed him some more until he entered a restricted zone. Was he on S.H.I.E.L.D's side? Are they actually hiding something and he's in on it? Do I have to apologise to Tony because he was right? Wha- Shit he's gone again. I snuck down the hall and saw him by a closed door which read 'SECURE STORAGE 10-C' on it. He began to grab the door and try to pull it open, I jumped to conclusions too soon. He's trying to break into S.H.I.E.L.D

"Lesson number Two. Always check behind you" I smirked as his head shot back at me and panic filled his face "Relax, I'm here to help" I said as I walked up to the door "Let's find out what S.H.I.E.L.D is hiding" I said as he smiled at me

"You do realise once you help me you've betrayed S.H.I.E.L.D?" he said as I shrugged my shoulders

"I'm not an agent, it wouldn't be the first time and I don't really care. As soon as this mission is over I go back to doing what I do" I chuckled, I could see him go to question what I said but instead stopped and pulled the door open, wow they S.H.I.E.L.D really put the 'secure' in 'SECURE STORAGE'. We both entered and Steve jumped up to a higher level before turning around and looking down at me

"Do you need help up?" he asked as I scoffed, I shook my head and raised my arms, having a breeze lift me up and smirked at him "I forgot about that" he chuckled quietly, we walked along the platform and I could see Steve glancing at all the boxes and containers that were stacked around us

"What're we looking for?" I asked as he continued walking, occasionally stopping and examining the containers

"I have no idea. Something that isn't normal" 

"Steve... What is normal about this ship? We have a 75 year old man, two Gods and a Goddess, an assassin, a rich guy who made himself a special suit and a man who turns into a raging mess when he's angry?" I chuckled as we came across a box with a logo of an Octopus on it "That's not S.H.I.E.L.D's logo" I said as Steve opened the container

"No it's not. It's HYDRA" Steve muttered as my mouth dropped

"HYDRA as in World War, your World War HYDRA?" I asked as he nodded and looked back at me. I looked in the container and saw helmets with the logo on and something which resembled a gun "These are..."

"Weapons. They want to use the cube just like HYDRA did to make weapons" he said, just then we heard a door on the other side of the room open and a few voices of S.H.I.E.L.D agents

"Grab the gun and lets go Rogers" I said as he picked up the gun and closed the container lid, just as we begin exiting we hear Nat through our communicator

"Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab. I'm on my way. Send Thor as well"

"To the lab it is Eleanor" Steve said as we jogged out of the storage room, I chuckled and rolled my eyes as we ran down the hallway

"Still not going to call me El?"

"I prefer Eleanor" he smiled, silence fell among us once again and soon enough we reached the lab where Fury, Tony and Bruce were talking with one another

"What is phase 2?" Tony asked as we entered, his hacking must've finished as Steve placed the gun down on the side

"Phase 2 is S.H.I.E.L.D use the cube to make weapons" Steve said as he looked at Tony "Sorry, the computer was running a little slow for me" I had to hold back a giggle

"Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean that we're making weapons..." Fury began to explain 

"I'm sorry Nick" Tony butted in as he rotated his screen to show a missile blue print "What, were you lying?" he asked, maybe we do all make a pretty good team if we all got along. It's a shame Tony was such a huge dick

"I was wrong Director" Steve said, "The world hasn't changed a bit" he added as Thor and Nat entered the room

"Did you know about this?" I asked her as she looked up at me throwing me a sympathetic look before her eyes fell on Bruce

"Do you want to think about removing yourself from this environment Doctor?" she asked, clearly avoiding my question

"I was in Calcutta. I was pretty well removed" he said with a laugh, the man could've been on Mars and I still think S.H.I.E.L.D would've brought him here,

"Loki is manipulating you" Nat said as I looked between her and Banner. She has a point, Loki does have the power to do this. If he means to unleash the Hulk he'll do whatever he can to get into Banner's head. "You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you" she snapped.

"Yes and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy" he said as he walked towards the screen and grabbed it "I'd like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction" Banner asked as we all looked to Furry, there was a small pause before Fury pointed at me

"Because of them" he said and I noticed Thor was stood next to me

"Us?" we said together as we looked around the room, all eyes now on us. Why because of us? I just kill bad people man? It's not like I've ever killed a child?

"Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that levelled a small town. We learned that not only are we alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned" he said as he walked around the room

"My people want nothing but peace with your planet" Thor exclaimed

"But you're not the only people out there, are you?" Fury snapped back 

"I'm not from his planet! I've never been to my planet, or world or whatever it's called. How does this involve me?" I asked as his head snapped to me

"March 11th 2011. You were on a job in Japan. Things got out of hand and you got... Well emotional" Fury said as I looked down at the ground. Shit I know where this is going. "More than 28,000 people were dead or missing" he said as I felt everyones eyes on me. My head dropped to the floor in guilt as I remembered that day. I knew that tsunami was me, it couldn't have been a coincidence at all.

"That's not her fault Fury and you know it" I heard Nat say as I slowly pulled my head back up to meet with the rest of the group "She's got a handle on her powers now. She poses no threat" she said as I managed to look up at the rest of the group. 

"She's killed over 7 government advisers in the last year. Saying she's not a threat is the biggest understatement of the year, Romanoff." Fury looked at me and everyone except Natasha threw me a worried look. I looked at everyones faces and let out a laugh

"Oh are you going to sit there and act all innocent Fury? I killed those bastards because I was hired too! Because they were doing exactly what S.H.I.E.L.D is doing! Creating weapons to wipe out entire populations!" I spat back "I don't kill just anyone you see, I research. I was in Japan because the leader was planning on sending a missile to wipe out California! He planned to do it on March 12th. If I hadn't have killed him then the entire state of California would've ceased to exist!" I shouted at him as everyones looks directed over to Fury

"So you're telling me if 4 years ago you were hired to assassinate Mr Stark here you would've done it?" Fury as as Tony looked at me and raised his eyebrows

"If I'd have known he was like he is now, yeah I'd have probably killed him just to shut him up. But back then he was the one making the weapons. He's not like S.H.I.E.L.D who were pressing the big red button and killing innocent people!" I argued

"You're missing the point of this whole thing! You and Thor not the only threat. The world is filling up with people who can't be matched... That can't be controlled" he said

"Like you controlled the cube" Steve said as I looked at him and he smiled at me

"Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is a signal to all realms that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war" Thor said as he also threw me a smile. It was nice knowing people were on my side. 

"A higher form?"

"You forced our hand. We had to come up with somethin-"

"A nuclear deterrent" Stark interrupted as we all looked to him "because that always calms everything right down"

"As I said earlier, how did you made your fortune, Stark" Fury spat,

"I'm sure if he still made weapons, Stark would be neck deep-"

"Wait hold on, how is now about me?" he asked as he placed his hands up in defence

"I'm sorry. Isn't everything" Steve chuckled, I did have to stop myself laughing at that point, Stark liked to make everything about him. He had to be the toughest guy out there. That's why he chose to fight Thor rather than reason with him.

"I thought humans were more evolved than this" Thor stepped forward. This is all getting out of hand. I looked at Nat who was looking at me with worry in her eyes. I smiled and nodded at her signalling for us to get involved should anything happen and she returned it back. At least I knew she would help

"Excuse me, did we come to your planet and blow stuff up?" Fury argued

"You treat your champions with such mistrust" Thor spat back, everyone began arguing, I looked around the room at everyone and then back at Lokis staff which was now glowing slightly more. Shit- This is what he wanted.

"STOP!" I screamed as the wind blew from me and everyone stumbled back slightly

"I mean what are we, a team? No, no, no. We're a chemical mixture that makes chaos" Dr Banner said "We're a time bomb"

"You and you" Fury said pointing to Dr Banner and me "Need to step away"

"Why shouldn't they be allowed to let off a little steam?" Tony remarked as he placed a hand on Steves shoulder

"You know damn well why!" Steve shouted as I sent him a look

"Oh I'm sorry Mr Rogers are you now suddenly scared of me? After I just said I don't kill innocent people?" I scowled as Tony walked up to Steve, agreeing with me

"Back off!" Steve pushed Tony back slightly, only encouraging Tony to step up some more

"I'm starting to want you to make me" Tony smirked

"Yeah. Big man in a suit of armour" Steve circled Tony "Take that off and what are you?"

"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist"

"I know guys with none of that worth 10 of you" Steve spat as I looked around the room "I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you" Steve is getting a little harsh here. I absolutely hated Tony and the way he acted but he seems to be the main guy on my side! Sure, he is a dick and all but-

"I think I would just cut the wire" Never mind. Spoke too soon, I don't want him on my side.

"Always a way out" Steve smirked as he looked at Dr Banner then back to Tony "You know you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero"

"A hero? Like you? You're a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle" I mean it didn't. Steve was more than willing to fight for his country even when he was turned down and rejected. Granted his strength came from the lab, but his motivation and his determination did not.

"Put on the suit. Lets go a few rounds" Steve responded as Thor began to laugh

"You people are so petty, and tiny" he chuckled "Except for you of course" he motioned to me

"Yeah this is a team" Banner added on 

"Agent Romanoff, would you escort Dr Banner back to his..." Fury began

"Where? You rented my room" Dr Banner said as he pointed out the door. He makes a fair point, Loki is in a cage that was made to contain the Hulk. How were we going to help Bruce now that Loki had his cage? We couldn't just swap them out, then Loki would escape.

"The cell was just incase..."

"In case you needed to kill me" Bruce exclaimed as he looked at me and smiled "But no cell for her right?" he chuckled "You can't kill me, I know, I tried" he shouted as we all looked at him, he tried to kill himself? Oh Dr Banner I had no idea it was that bad "I got low. I didn't see an end. So I put a bullet in my mouth, and the other guy spat it out... So I moved on. I focused on helping other people. I was good. Until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk". You wanna know my secret Agent Romanoff? You wanna know how I stay calm?" he said with an angry look in his eyes

"Bruce..." I said as he looked at me "But down the scepter" I said as he looked at it in his hands, he looked down at his hands to see the scepter and just as he did that there was a beep from the computer. We've found the cube. 

"Sorry kids, you don't get to see my party trick after all" Banner said as he went over to the computer to see the location, everyone again began arguing about who could get there the fastest and who would retrieve it and I zoned out, for a brief moment all I could hear was the voice in my head, the one I thought was my Mum.
