"Exams are getting close. Do you wanna head to the library after supper to start studying?" Savannah asked Lily as the girls walked to supper together. Students bustled around them, talking loudly and clearly in a hurry to eat.

Lily nodded. "Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Do you want to ask the boys if they want to go too?"

Savannah shrugged, throwing her neat ponytail over her shoulder as she tugged her robes straight. "We can try. Remus will probably be the only one to agree though."

"You're probably right, but there's no harm in asking," Lily agreed as they arrived at the Gryffindor table and made to sit down.

"Hey, Lilypad," James said with a smile that made Lily's heart skip a beat as he sat down beside her.

"Hi James," she replied, leaning into his arms.

"Sometimes they're a bit much, aren't they?" Remus whispered in Savannah's ear as he took a seat beside her, both of them watching as the couple kissed.

Savannah nodded. "Yeah, but they're pretty cute together," she whispered back, turning to Remus.

He smiled at her. "Yeah, they are. You should've heard James for the six years before Lily agreed to go out with him. I swear, it was non-stop talking about her. 'Oh, Moony, why won't Lilypad go out with me? Oh, Moony, you don't think she's with Snivellus?'" Remus mimicked, rolling his eyes with a smile.

Savannah smiled. "I can imagine. Hey, me and Lily are going to go to the library after supper to start studying for exams. Do you want to come with us?"

Remus nodded. "Yeah, I need to start studying."

"I would ask Peter, but he never seems to be around any more," Savannah commented, looking around the group to make sure Peter hadn't joined them.

"He has been going MIA recently, hasn't he?" Remus mused, dipping some food onto his plate.

Savannah nodded, taking a bite of a roll.

Sirius joined them, sitting across from James. He was careful to keep some distance from Savannah lately, as he didn't want to push her. If she wanted time and space, then that was what she would get.

"Hey, Lils, if you can hear me, would you please stop snogging dear Prongsie here and ask if they want to join us in the library?" Savannah asked with a smirk.

Lily leaned away from James. "First of all, Sava dear, I wasn't snogging James. Second of all, I was getting there," Lily replied with a smile, nudging her best friend.

"You has might as well have been snogging the lad... you were undressing each other with your eyes," she muttered under her breath, shuddering. Remus heard her and choked on his pumpkin juice as he started howling with laughter. (Pun intended.) Savannah started giggling too, which turned to full on laughing as the two leaned on each other to stay upright. Remus was laughing because he hadn't really ever thought of Savannah as the type to say something like that, and Savannah was laughing because Remus was laughing so hard.

Lily, James, and Sirius all looked at each other, not knowing what was going on with their friends. "I think Sava broke Moony, and then Moony broke Sava," James said in mock horror as he watched the two with wide eyes.

"S-Sava, I did-didn't know you had such a dirty mind!" Remus laughed.

Savannah shrugged. "Eh, when you're around Dalton long enough, it just kinda wears off on you."

"Oh, our dear 'Vannah here has a dirty mind? What ever could you mean, Moony?" Sirius said in mock seriousness.

Savannah and Remus exchanged wide-eyed glances. "Er... nothing, Pads," Remus quickly said, biting his lip to keep from laughing when he caught James's eye.

Dalton joined the group then, stopping all conversation about Savannah and her dirty mind.

Dalton sat down across from Savannah. "So, lads, what are we doing tonight?" He asked, looking at Sirius and James.

"Actually, brother dearest, Lily and I were planning on asking you lot if you wanted to come with us to the library so we can start studying for exams," Savannah informed him, as she scooped some mashed potatoes onto her plate.

"I can think of other things that might be more suitable for you and your dirty mind to do in the library," Sirius leaned over to whisper huskily to Savannah.

Savannah flushed bright red as she suddenly couldn't help herself from picturing Sirius pushing her against the bookshelves... his lips finding hers in a passionate kiss...

No! No, no, no! Savannah thought as she shook her head.

"Mister Black, you really should try harder to keep your mind out of the gutter," Savannah whispered back, her eyes finding his.

"I can't help it when you're around, love. What can I say? You make me imagine-" He was saying before Savannah clapped her hand over his mouth, her eyes darkening, whether that was from desire or annoyance was beyond Sirius. He couldn't help but hope it was the first.

"You'd do best not to finish that thought," she said softly, gaze flitting down to his lips before returning to his eyes.

"Oi, Mr. and Mrs. Padfoot! We're trying to eat here!" James suddenly said quite loudly, bringing the two out of their trance. Savannah snapped back up in her seat, trying her best not to acknowledge the curious looks and murderous glares she was receiving as a blush creeped its way up her neck.

Sirius smirked as he returned his attention back to his plate.

Dalton looked at Remus before he started acting like he was throwing up, making Remus and James start laughing.

That was when Peter joined them, looking quite confused as he sat down on the other side of Sirius. "What's this all about?" He whispered to Sirius.

"Our friends have gone mad, Pete," Sirius replied as he clapped Peter on the back.

Savannah, on the other hand, quickly finished her food and slung her bag over her shoulder. "Lils, want to go to the library now?" She asked, though it sounded more like a command than an actual question.

"You go ahead, Sava, I'll catch up."

Savannah was secretly glad, since it gave her a minute to calm down and collect herself after how flustered Sirius's words made her. Once out of the Great Hall, she found a secluded corner to stop. She threw her bag down as she leaned against the cool stone wall, putting a hand to her chest as if that would calm her ragged breathing.

She threw her head back and let out a humorless laugh. "Gods, who would've ever thought that me, Savannah Stone, would fall so quickly for the handsome, charming git that is Sirius Black? I used to hate him, for Merlin's sake!"

No, you didn't, she thought. You've always liked him, you were just in denial. That's why you fell so fast; you were already half way there. That's why you were so quick to accept it this year.

Savannah laughed humorlessly again, knowing that her subconscious was right.

"Sirius Black, what have you done to me?" She asked, not knowing that Sirius was around the corner, listening.

Sighing, she bent and picked up her bag before heading for the library.

Sirius Black is going to be the end of me.
