"Wake up! We have to eat breakfast and then get ready for tonight!" Lily announced, walking through the maze of sleeping bags on her bedroom floor.

"You just want to get dressed up so that James will snog you!" Marlene exclaimed tiredly, burrowing down in her sleeping bag. Her comment earned her a pillow in the face by Lily.

"It's true," Alice said, grumpy as she had just been woken up.

"No it's not!" Lily insisted, pouting like a child.

"Yeah, it is," Savannah groaned, pulling her sleeping bag over her head.

"Oh yeah, like you don't want Sirius to snog you!" Lily told Savannah.

Savannah shot up. "That is not true. I've barely begun to tolerate him, let alone develop feelings for him!"

"Sure you haven't," Marlene joined the conversation.

"I haven't! We're friends! That's it!" Savannah insisted, her face heating up.

"You may not know it yet, Sava, but you do," Alice told her, sitting up with a yawn.

"How did this get turned on me? We were just making fun of Lily!"

"This is more fun. We know James has been after Lily and that she likes him now. You're refusing to accept that you have feelings for Sirius," Marlene explained, making Savannah roll her eyes and stand up.

"Down to breakfast!" Lily exclaimed cheerily, content now that she had gotten the others up.
——
After breakfast, the girls went back upstairs.

"Let us help you pick out your outfit, Lils!" Marlene begged, desperate to do something girly.

Lily gladly obliged, opening her closet to let the girls look at whatever they wanted.

Marlene dragged out a matching black underwear and bra set, tossing them to Lily, who flushed red and stuttered about how she couldn't.

"You never know," is all Marlene said with a smirk before turning back to the closet.

Marlene, ever the fashionista, picked out some red bellbottoms with an off-the-shoulder, flowy blouse. Alice, who loved shoes, picked out some black platforms for Lily to wear.

Savannah didn't know much about those things, so she simply let the other two pick it out, only contributing to say that the outfit was cute.

She did, however, usher Lily to the bathroom next door, tossing the clothes in after her.

"I brought a couple of outfits that I couldn't decide between, so I was hoping you would help," Marlene told them after Lily came out, dressed and looking gorgeous.

She laid them out on Lily's bed for the others to see.

The choices were either a black skirt with black thigh-high boots- which seemed absurd to Savannah as it was the middle of winter- or yellow bellbottoms with a dark maroon shirt and white sheer, lacy sweater type thing.

"Go with the bellbottom outfit. It's the middle of winter, Marls!" Lily told her, shivering as she thought about how cold it would be to wear the skirt.

Marlene rolled her eyes, but picked up the outfit and went to the bathroom Lily just exited.

"What do you have, Alice?" Savannah asked, moving to get her messenger bag.

"I brought a denim jacket, white shirt, and black skinny jeans. For my shoes I brought red Converse. My boyfriend's not going to be there and I'm not like Marlene, so I didn't figure I had anyone to impress," she responded, taking her clothes out of her bag.

Savannah suddenly felt bad about the clothes she brought, as she didn't have money to get nice clothes.

She didn't look at anyone as she took out her multi-color sweater and skinny jeans. It would look better with boots like Marlene's.

Marlene came out of the bathroom, allowing Alice to shuffle in and change.

"Oooh! That'd be really cute with thigh-high boots! Did you bring any?" Marlene told her.

"No," Savannah replied quietly.

"Wear mine! I insist. We must have you looking hot for Sirius!" She smirked, making Savannah roll her eyes.

"I don't like him," she grumbled but grabbed Marlene's boots like she was told.

"Get over here, Lils. Let me do your makeup!" Marlene said just as Alice returned.

Savannah shuffled out to go change, doing so quickly. She let her hair down, because she figured Alice would want to do it.

As soon as she slipped the thigh-high boots on, she made her way back to Lily's room to see that Marlene was still working on Lily's makeup, putting red eyeshadow on with red lipstick, as well as eyeliner and mascara to make Lily's emerald green eyes pop.

After she was done with Lily, she called Alice over to do her makeup. Alice insisted on something simple, so Marlene simply put on a thin layer of silver eyeshadow and pale pink lipstick, with only mascara for Alice.

After Alice was done, Marlene did the same to Savannah. She did a dramatic smokey eye with deep maroon lipstick. She also put eyeliner and a thick layer of mascara on, finally releasing her to do her own makeup.

She did a yellow eyeshadow look, with nude lipstick, eyeliner and mascara.

Finally, Alice was able to do Lily's hair. She curled it with magic, making it cascade down Lily's back in gentle curls. She tied back a piece from each side, so as to reveal Lily's face more.

On Marlene, Alice straightened it with magic, wanting to do something different from Marlene's normal tight curls. It made Marlene look quite different than normal, but she still looked absolutely gorgeous. Savannah was convinced all of her friends would look gorgeous no matter what.

For Savannah, she curled it tightly before rubbing her hands through it to loosen up the curls a bit, but it was still curlier than Lily's hair. She pulled back a bit of hair that always fell in Savannah's face, pinning it back with a bedazzled hair clip.

Alice had given her short hair a wind blown look, making her look quite different than normal.

And finally, they were ready to go to James's. Since Lily's parents were muggles, the girls would have to tolerate the glares they received from Petunia while they used the Floo Network to get to the Potters'.

Once there, they were greeted at the fireplace by the five Marauders, who were happy to see the girls. They all might not be the best of friends, but they're a group.

Sirius took one look at Savannah, one look at her sexy boots and gorgeous hair and knew that he would need to stay away from her all night, or he might lose all control and just snog her. Instead, he cornered Marlene.

"Regulus owled me. He told me about you two," he told her bluntly, scanning her face to see her reaction.

Her expression showed no sign of lies or betrayal, making Sirius relax a bit. "It's true. You should thank me, y'know. If it weren't for me he'd have been lost to you forever."

Sirius nodded. "He told me that too. Look, I just want to make sure that you're not dating him to get back at me or something."

Marlene crossed her arms, her face lighting up with anger. "Are you that egotistical, Sirius? I got over you a long time ago! Besides, I'm not your type and you're not mine."

Sirius raised a brow. "Oh yeah? And so who is my type?"

"Savannah," Marlene replied, not missing a beat.

Sirius's eyes widened and he released his grip on Marlene. "You're right. I'm sorry. I'm glad you and Regulus found each other."

Savannah, meanwhile, had tried to hide her hurt by hanging out with Remus.

She couldn't explain it, but the fact that Sirius had sought out Marlene instead of her made her chest burn. Remus, seeing her loneliness, had made his way to her and began talking to her.

James couldn't seem to take his eyes off of Lily as he dragged her over to the eggnog. He poured her a glass, acting the perfect gentleman.

Alice and Peter were debating over the best sweet Honeydukes had to offer. Peter said that Bertie Bott's Every Flavoured Beans were the best, while Alice argued that the Chocolate Frogs were the best.

"Dalton told us about what happened," Remus told her, sitting down beside her on the couch.

Savannah was silent, looking down in shame. She didn't want Remus thinking less of her because of how she caused her and Dalton to be thrown out by their parents.

"I'm sorry. You two didn't deserve that," he continued softly, looking at her.

"I did, Dalton didn't," she responded quietly, wishing her hair was still wild so that she could use it to hide her face.

"No, you didn't. For once in your life, Sava, you're wrong. They treated the both of you horribly, and I'm sure Dalton hasn't told us everything," Remus assured her, laying a comforting hand on her thigh.

Savannah felt herself flush at his touch, still not used to people touching her. She didn't get the same feeling that she did when Sirius touched her, though she still refused to accept that there was a possibility that she may have feelings for him.

"Thank you, Remus," she responded after a moment.

"Of course, Sava. Want some eggnog? I want to try some."

"That'd be really great."

Sirius watched the two from his spot on the other couch with Marlene, suddenly hating his best friend. Don't think like that. Remus knows that you're head over heels for her, he wouldn't do that to you.
