Chapter 4
Hi! I'm back with another chapter. This one has some family drama in it cause we all love that. Also, we're getting a reveal to who that blue-haired boy is who saved our lovely Hyunjin. With that said, let's get into it.
When Namjoon and Jimin received the call from Hyunjin, they rushed over immediately. They had solved the issue with clear commands to their men and apologies to the ladies of Rose's gang. The deal finishes smoothly after that. Hyunjin waits in the back of his parents' car as this all happens. He had taken off his glasses and he now plays with them nervously. Namjoon and Jimin sigh as they come back into the vehicle. "I told you sending him on this mission was a bad idea," Jimin states,
Namjoon sighs, "We had no way of knowing that our men would start this ridiculousness."
"We should have expected it! We let Woojoo lead the group!" Jimin exclaims, "He doesn't know when to shut his mouth!" Hyunjin frowns and shifts in his seat, covering up his wound with his hand. His parents would flip even more if they saw it. "Jimin, please calm down. No one got hurt," Namjoon says in a calm tone,
"No! I won't calm down. You should be more worried than this Kim Namjoon!" Jimin shouts.
"I am worried. I'm freaking out!" Namjoon fires back, "I'm just trying to keep a level-head about all of this!"
"Appa. Dad. Please don't argue," Hyunjin says, "I'm fine, really." Namjoon and Jimin look back at their son and then at each other. Namjoon and Jimin flash each other apologetic looks. "Are you really okay, Hyunjin?" Namjoon asks, "No one hurt you?" Hyunjin shakes his head and smiles, he shifts his hand a little, trying to better cover his wound. Jimin eyes his movement and frowns, "Let's head home." Namjoon nods and gestures for their driver to get moving. As the car moves, the family of three stay silent. Hyunjin bites the inside of his cheek, feeling bad that he lied. Well, he isn't hurt anymore. That boy took care of him. Whoever that boy was. Hyunjin's nose wrinkles thinking about that infuriating boy. "Move your hand," Jimin says.
"Huh, w-what?" Hyunjin stutters.
Jimin eyes the spot where Hyunjin covers, "Move your hand."
"Why?" Hyunjin asks, avoiding his father's gaze.
Jimin shrugs, "Why not? You're not hiding something from me, are you?" Namjoon glances as well, eying his hand. The young boy shivers, knowing that he's screwed. Both of his parents are on to him. There's no way out of this now. Hyunjin squeezes his eyes shut and braces for his parent's wrath as he slowly moves his hand away. Jimin's eyes bug out of his head as he sees his son's blood tinged shirt. "Oh, my, Hyunjin! Did you get stabbed!?" Jimin shrieks. Namjoon unbuckles and moves closer to his son. Hyunjin holds his hands out, "I'm fine! Really!" Namjoon ignores his child and gently touches the wound. The man's eyebrows raise and he lifts his son's shirt to see the patch job done by the mystery boy. "You said you didn't get hurt," Namjoon states.
"Well, I didn't really. I was trying to find a safe spot to hide cause I couldn't find my gun," Hyunjin explains, "This lady caught me before I could. She had a knife and when I was fighting her she cut me, but it's okay cause I took her down." Hyunjin doesn't know why he doesn't tell his parents about the boy who helped him. He really has no clue. "It's not okay, Hyunjin! You can't just hide things like this from us!" Jimin exclaims.
"I'm sorry, I just didn't want you to get worried," Hyunjin reasons.
Namjoon shakes his head, "Did you really think you could hide that from us? Who patched you up?"
"I-I did it myself," Hyunjin says, "I found a first-aid kit in the back of one of the other guy's cars." Jimin's eyes narrow, feeling as Hyunjin is still keeping something from him. "You're banned from missions," Namjoon states, returning to his seat and buckling back in.
"What!?" Hyunjin exclaims, "Why?"
"We can't have things like this happening again," Namjoon states, "This was supposed to be a simple mission, yet you still got hurt. You're not ready."
"I am ready! I wouldn't have gotten cut if I had my gun!" Hyunjin exclaims.
"You mean this gun?" Jimin asks, tossing a medium sized pistol towards the boy.
Hyunjin catches it and his eyes widen, "Where was it?"
"On your bed," Jimin says, "You need to have your gun with you at all times. You can't just forget it. I agree with your father. No more missions."
"But, appa!" Hyunjin exclaims, "It was just a mistake! I won't forget it again! I promise! Just give me another chance! Please!"
"No. You can't make mistakes, Hyunjin!" Namjoon says passionately, "If you mess up again, you could die. Do you think your appa and I will ever let that happen? Not when we can stop you."
"I won't die! You've trained me for this! I've worked so hard! You can't take this away from me!" Hyunjin shouts, "I'm a part of the gang!"
"Well, maybe we should remove you from the gang," Jimin says firmly. Hyunjin looks at him with wide eyes. His parents would never do that, would they? The gang was another family to Hyunjin. Some of his closest friends are in the gang. He can't lose it. "You can't do that!" Hyunjin yells, "You can't pull me from the gang and you can't stop me from doing missions!"
"We can do what we want because we're your parents," Namjoon fires back.
"Just cause you're my parents doesn't mean you can strip me of something that means so much to me! It was my first mission! We all make mistakes! I made one tonight! Let me learn from it and give me another chance!" Hyunjin pleads.
"No, means no, Hyunjin!" Jimin says in a burst of anger, "Do you think this is all some joke? Do you not realize that we could have lost you tonight? Do you think that we do these things because we enjoy taking away what makes you happy? No! We're doing this to keep our son safe. To prevent what happened tonight, from ever happening again. I refuse to possibly see your injured body. Your dead body! Not if I can do something to stop this. Not if I can keep you out of harm's way!"
"Do you really not trust me!? I can handle myself. I'm not some little kid. I know how to shoot a gun. I know how to fight a person. What do you want me to do!? Just sit on the sidelines and watch as my parents go out every night to lead their biker gang!" Hyunjin yells, "Stop treating me like that kid you found in the alley!!! I've grown up and I can handle myself. I don't need you two to watch me anymore. I don't need to be protected! Stop thinking that by taking all of this away you're going to ensure my safety! I'm not going to let you take this from me."
"You can fight us all you want, but nothing is going to change," Namjoon says, "Now stop yelling."
"Not until you two realize that you're in the wrong here!" Hyunjin exclaims. The car pulls to a stop and the family of three glance out the window. Amidst all their bickering, they had not noticed their arrival at their house. Hyunjin looks back at his parents who have stern looks on their faces. Hyunjin shakes his head, they just don't understand. The young boy grabs his gun and slips it into his jacket pocket. He shoves his glasses back onto his face before opening the car door and running. He has no idea where he's going. He just wants to get away. Namjoon and Jimin exchange a look as they watch their son run off. Jimin is about to order one of their men to follow their son, but Namjoon stops him. "Let him cool off. We all need to cool off," Namjoon murmurs.

Hyunjin sighs as he walks down the sidewalk. He doesn't argue with his parents often, but when they do it gets a bit out of hand. Each of them are extremely passionate and never back down. Hyunjin sighs again, he just wishes they could see things from his point of view. "What are you doing this late at night?" A voice asks. Hyunjin jumps and whips his head back and forth, searching for the source of the voice. "Wow, you're jumpy, princess," The voice says again. Hyunjin's eyes widen as he recognizes the nickname. The boy from before comes out of the shadows and waves. His hood is back down again and he has a stupid smirk on his face. Hyunjin scowls, "What are you doing here? Are you following me?!"
The boy scoffs, "Why would I want to follow you?"
"Then, why are you here?" Hyunjin fires back.
The boy huffs, "None of your business."
"I want to slap you," Hyunjin states, raising his hand up in warning.
"I'd like to see you try, princess," The boy taunts. Hyunjin makes a disgusted face and starts to swing his hand towards the boy, but he stops himself. He's really not in the mood for this. Hyunjin keeps walking, leaving the boy behind. "Where are you going?" The boy asks.
"None of your business," Hyunjin answers. The boy lets out a chuckle and jogs to keep up with the other. "How's the stab wound?" The boy asks.
Hyunjin smirks, "Fine. Why? Are you worried about me?"
The boy scoffs, "As if."
"I think you're worried about me. I mean why else would you be following me," Hyunjin teases.
"I'm not following you," The boy states, "I have much better things to do with my life than follow around a princess."
"I don't like that nickname," Hyunjin frowns.
The boy nods, "I'll keep using it then."
"I really don't like you," Hyunjin says, crossing his arms.
"Fine by me," The boy says. The two fall silent and just continue walking. If anyone else had seen them, they may have assumed they were friends. "Who are you?!" Hyunjin exclaims suddenly. The boy looks at him with raised eyebrows and laughs. "Why do you want to know who I am so badly?" The boy questions. Hyunjin opens his mouth and then closes it. Why does he want to know the kid's name? "It doesn't matter why, just tell me!" Hyunjin says.
"Tell me why you're here first," The boy says, "I'll tell you my name after."
Hyunjin groans, "Whatever. My parents and I got into a bit of a fight. They found out about the wound and they went all mother bear. They want to ground me from missions permanently."
"Hm...might not be so bad of an idea," The boy muses, "You weren't doing so well."
"Shut up!" Hyunjin exclaims, "I was doing fine."
"Yeah, you sure looked fine. The gun pressed to your head really gave off the, hey I've got the situation handled vibe," The boy says.
"You really are annoying, you know that? Didn't you want to hear why I'm out here?" Hyunjin asks. The boy nods and shuts his mouth. "I told them that they should trust me, but they wouldn't budge. They kept on saying that it's for my protection even though they know that I can handle myself," Hyunjin complains.
"So, you ran away in a hissy fit?" The boy questions.
"It wasn't a hissy fit. I just needed some space," Hyunjin explains, "My parents don't understand." The boy hums and nods his head. "Who are you?" Hyunjin asks for the millionth time.
"Wow, you really have a one-track mind," The boy states.
Hyunjin glances at the boy beside him, "You said you would tell me after I explained why I'm out here."
"Yeah, yeah, let me give you some advice first," The boy says.
Hyunjin's brow furrow, "Advice?"
"Yes, advice," The boy continues, "I think you're the one that needs to understand where your parents are coming from. I get that you want to continue missions, but have you thought about how your parents feel about all this. How would you feel if your child came back from their first mission with a stab wound? I'd lock them up and try to keep them safe the best I can."
"They're just overreacting," Hyunjin murmurs.
"Are they though?" The boy asks, "They're your parents. It's their job to worry. They just want you to be safe. Cut them some slack. They just want what's best for you."
Hyunjin frowns, "I never thought of it like that...shoot...I've messed up, haven't I?"
"Yeah, you should go apologize," The boy says.
"Do you think they would forgive me?" Hyunjin asks.
The boy nods, "I'm sure they're waiting at your house right now for you to come back. They're probably going to apologize as well... cause that's what parents do."
"They have nothing to apologize for. This was my fault," Hyunjin says.
"Maybe it was," The boy says, "But, they'll say sorry too. You'll see. Now go back home, Hyunjin. Your parents are waiting." Hyunjin nods and turns around, he starts jogging back in the direction of his house. "It's Jisung," The boy shouts out. Hyunjin stops running and turns around to face the boy. "What?" Hyunjin asks.
"My name. It's Jisung," The boy says again.
"Jisung," Hyunjin says, testing the name on his tongue, "Thank you. For opening my eyes."
Jisung nods his head, "You're welcome." Hyunjin turns back around and starts jogging again, but he stops after a few more steps. "I still don't like you, Jisung," Hyunjin says, "Even though I'm thankful."
"Yeah, yeah, princess, I don't like you that much either," Jisung says, "You're a bit of a pain in the ass."
"Hey!" Hyunjin exclaims.
"Just go already! We can continue this another day," Jisung says with a sigh.
"Another day? I'm going to see you again?" Hyunjin questions.
Jisung groans, "Go, Hyunjin!" The boy nods and takes off running again, this time entirely focused on making his way back to his parents to apologize.

Hyunjin rings the doorbell and waits for someone to open up. He doesn't do so for long as Jimin opens the door instantly and pulls his son inside. He's dragged towards the living room and told to sit on the couch. Namjoon already sits on the couch and gestures for Jimin to sit beside him. Hyunjin bites his lip and looks down at the floor. "Hyunjin," Jimin says. The young boy looks up and his eyes widen as he sees his parents with apologetic looks on their faces. "I'm sorry," Namjoon says, "I got upset. I let my temper get the better of me. I let my worry for you make me angry. I didn't think about how you felt. I shouldn't have done that. I'm always going to baby you, but I guess I do need to realize that you're older now and you can handle yourself."
"I'm sorry too," Jimin says, "I didn't want anything more than for you to be safe. I didn't think much about how you may feel if we stripped something like missions from you. You've worked so hard to get to where you are today. You're still that little boy to me and I just want to protect you, but now I look at you and I see how much you've grown. You don't need me to protect you anymore." Hyunjin stares at his parents in shock. They were apologizing? It's just as Jisung had said. "I should be the one apologizing," Hyunjin says, "You were both just worried about me. You were being good parents, that's all. I never should have gotten upset at you for that. I shouldn't have yelled at you for trying to keep me safe. I am older, but I'm always going to need the two of you. I'm sorry. If you don't want me to go on missions, I won't. I'm okay with that. I'm happy as long as you are all."
"We want you to go on missions," Namjoon says, "We won't forbid you from going on them. You're more than capable of handling yourself out on the field."
"Really?" Hyunjin asks.
Jimin nods, "You make us so proud, Hyunjinnie."
"Appa," Hyunjin says, a tad bit emotional in tone.
"Ah, don't cry," Namjoon says, "If you cry, we all cry and then Yoongi hyung freaks out cause he sees our red rimmed eyes and doesn't know what to do." Hyunjin and Jimin laugh, tears still forming in the corners of both of their eyes. "Group hug!" Jimin exclaims, pulling Hyunjin close to him and Namjoon.

Jisung walks down the hall and stops before a large door. He takes a deep breath before knocking on the door. "Come in," A voice from inside says. Jisung opens the door to where two men sit side by side in front of a long table. The room is simple and classy. A black leather couch sits on the side and a large TV hangs on the wall. There's a wide window that has curtains pulled back to show off the bright lights of the buildings in the city. The table that the two men sit at is made of clear glass. "Did you find him?" A man with long-hair questions.
Jisung nods, "Of course."
"Good," The other says, "We enrolled you in his school, so keep a close eye on him."
"Yes, sir," Jisung says. Although he didn't really want to, he couldn't go against these two men. They got whatever they wanted. He could put up with the silly princess for a little longer. He is fun to tease. "Remember the plan," The long-haired man states, "We are trusting you with this, Han."
"I know, sirs. I will not let you down," Jisung says, bowing.
Did you know it was Jisung? Lol, I think considering this is a Hyunsung AU, it's fairly obvious. Jisung seems to be involved in some shady things thoooooo....hmmmm.
