Chapter 37

Hey, guys! Sorry, I didn't post this on Friday like I usually do. I've been busy preparing for school, which is starting real soon. Don't worry though, this story will finish on time and all without any hiatuses. I promise. Anyway...this chapter isn't super long or anything crazy, but I hope that you all still enjoy it none the less. That's all I'll say for now, so go ahead and read the chapter.

Hyunjin stares at Jisung's sleeping form. When Hyunjin rushed in with Jisung on his back, the hospital acted instantly. They took him to surgery and did their best for his extensive injuries. Of course, it was seen as suspicious for Hyunjin to bring him in like that, so the cops were on their way alongside his parents, who Hyunjin didn't have a doubt would deal with the situation. He would have turned to Moonlight and their doctors, but he didn't have time. The hospital was closer and Jisung needed help immediately. Hyunjin made the right decision though. The doctors told him that if he had been any later, Jisung may not have made it. His boyfriend has broken ribs along with bruises and cuts all over his chest. He had to have his feet reconstructed and skin grafts applied to his sliced up legs. And that was only the beginning. Hyunjin stopped listening after a while, not being able to stomach or comprehend all the injuries that his boyfriend accumulated in mere hours. He knew that Jinyoung and Jaebum are monsters, but he couldn't fathom that they would do something to a seventeen year old boy. Hyunjin grabs Jisung's hand and gently squeezes it, "You're going to be okay...rest and wake up soon...okay?" Hyunjin's chest aches and he feels tears start to build up in his eyes. He's been pushing back his emotions all day, but now that he's in the hospital watching his sleeping boyfriend, he can't hold it in anymore. Tears drip from his eyes as he looks at Jisung's bruised face. He feels so helpless. Yes, he got Jisung out of there, but he wasn't able to do anything to prevent this. He knew that Jisung was at risk of getting attacked. He knew, but he still let Jisung hang around there. He should have insisted. He should have done something. He should have stopped Jinyoung and Jaebum. He should have realized who they were earlier and dealt with them a long time ago. Hyunjin shakes his head as more and more tears drip from his face. He doesn't make any noise as he cries, too tired and drained to even make a sound. Suddenly, the door to Jisung's hospital room is opened. Hyunjin turns to look and his eyes widen, "Appa...dad..."

"Hyunjin," Jimin says, rushing to his son's side and pulling him into a hug. Namjoon walks over to the bed and glances at Jisung with a grave look on his face. The man frowns and places a hand on his son's shoulder. "Are you okay?" Namjoon asks.

Hyunjin nods, wiping at his tears, "I'm fine."

"Jisung?" Jimin asks, pulling away from the hug, but keeping his hands gripped onto his son's arms.

"He's resting," Hyunjin states.

"It was Jinyoung and Jaebum. Wasn't it?" Namjoon says. Hyunjin nods and lets out a shaky breath. His gaze falls on his boyfriend again and he frowns. "How did you save him?" Jimin asks.

"Should we really be talking here?" Hyunjin asks, discreetly gesturing to a security camera in the corner of the room. Jimin and Namjoon glance up at it for a second before looking back at their son. "It's fine. You chose a good hospital," Namjoon says, "We're friends with the owner."

"The cops..." Hyunjin murmurs.

"Dealt with," Jimin answers, "Now, tell us what happened." Hyunjin takes a deep breath before recounting his night's events. Starting with the phone call and ending with his hurried drive to the hospital. "Jisung's friends helped you?" Namjoon questions.

Hyunjin nods, "They're the same ones that helped me get out."

"Really?" Jimin comments, "It's weird that these Evermore members are doing this."

Hyunjin shrugs, "I don't know...just cause they're in Evermore doesn't mean that they're bad..."

"What do you mean by that?" Namjoon asks.

"When I was leaving...Chan hyung told me that there are others in Evermore who hate Jinyoung and Jaebum like Jisung does. There are people that would rather not follow their rule, but they have no choice since they're the leaders of Evermore," Hyunjin explains, "I didn't understand it at first, but it makes sense now. Not everyone in Evermore are the bad guys. It's just Jinyoung and Jaebum." Namjoon and Jimin exchange a knowing look that Hyunjin catches. The boy's eyebrows furrow as his parents start to have a silent conversation. "What's up?" Hyunjin asks.

"It's funny that one of the Evermore members said something like that," Namjoon says, "Remember that note that Jackson handed you? Well, it said something similar."

"What?" Hyunjin says in a confused tone.

"It said that Mark and he are ready to step up. Jinyoung and Jaebum have been leading for too long and that almost everyone in Evermore agrees," Jimin says, "The note said to call him so that we can put an end to this once and for all."

"We ignored it," Namjoon says, "I haven't spoken to Jackson in years. I can't just trust some note he suddenly gives me saying that he wants to revolt."

"But, your friend said something similar," Jimin comments, "What are the chances that this comes from two people? Doesn't that mean there's some truth to it?"

"You think that Evermore wants to overthrow Jaebum and Jinyoung?" Hyunjin questions.

"Maybe," Namjoon mutters, "They've been through hell because of their leaders. I know that for a fact. I never thought they would go against them, but now all of this is saying differently."

"What does this mean then?" Hyunjin asks, "What do we do?"

"I have an idea," Jimin says, "Would require us to make a few phone calls, but it would be worth it. There are a lot of people in this world that would like to see Jinyoung and Jaebum dead. The only reason they aren't yet is because they haven't given any other gang valid reason to slit their throats...but I'm sure that'll change if I tell them what they've done to you and Jisung."

"Appa, are you saying what I think you're saying?" Hyunjin asks.

Jimin nods, "We let them wander around, but I'm done with all of Jinyoung and Jaebum's mess. It's time we stopped them instead of letting them do as they wish. I'm not just letting them walk away this time to cause even more chaos. I made that mistake the first time. I won't again."

"I agree," Namjoon says, "They've done more than enough to warrant a direct approach. That is if you think this is the way to go, Hyunjin." Hyunjin doesn't answer right away, knowing what his parents are planning. It would take a lot of work and could end messy. But, on the other hand, it would put a stop to this. All of it. And after all the hell that Jinyoung and Jaebum have put him through. Put Jisung through. They deserve it. They deserve it a million times over. "Yes," Hyunjin states, his eyes locked on Jisung, "Let's do it. Let's give them war..."
