Chapter 3

Hi! I am back with another chapter for you all. This one is going to introduce another character that we haven't seen yet. I feel like it's fairly obvious who it is, but I won't say who it is. You'll just have to read and find out.

Hyunjin taps his foot and blows air from his mouth. He looks around and sighs. He's been standing here for the past hour. This whole mission thing sounded a lot more interesting when Yeonjun was telling him about it. After ages of begging his parents, he finally got them to allow him to go on a mission. He was assigned to monitor a drug deal between the gang and another group. Hyunjin along with a bunch of his father's men, who he wasn't well acquainted with, headed out ready for an easy mission. Hyunjin was nervous, even though he knew his parents assigned him to a rather simple task. It didn't help that his parents continued to call again and again, worriedly checking up on their child. "Hey, kid, it's your parents," One of the guys with a patchy beard says, holding up a phone. Hyunjin sighs and takes the phone, "Hi."

"Hyunjin! Is it going well?" Jimin asks, enthusiastically.

"Yeah, I've been standing here for an hour. It's been a real great experience," Hyunjin says in a dry tone.

"Still? I thought that Rose's people would at least be there by now," Namjoon mutters.

"Do you think something went wrong?" Jimin says with worry.

Namjoon sighs, "Calm down, Jimin. I'm sure they just got a bit held up. Don't worry."

"Don't worry! This is Rose's gang! Her ladies are assassins! They could slice my baby Hyunjinnie to pieces!" Jimin exclaims. Namjoon sighs again and Hyunjin smiles at his parent's antics. "It's just a drug deal. Nothing will happen," Namjoon says.

"How can you know!?" Jimin asks.

Hyunjin shakes his head and smiles, "Appa, really, I'm fine. I'll be fine. If anything I should be more worried about these guys, I think they're getting a bit annoyed with how often you guys are calling me."

"I told you that five times is really excessive," Namjoon says.

Jimin huffs, "It's my baby's first mission!"

"He can handle himself, Jimin," Namjoon says, "Trust him." Hyunjin giggles as he imagines his parents' expressions. His appa would probably be pouting and his dad would be looking at him with exasperation. "They're here!" One of the men shouts.

"Ah, I have to go. They finally came," Hyunjin says, "Wish me luck."

"Be careful," Jimin says.

"You don't need luck. Make us proud, Jinnie," Namjoon says. Hyunjin smiles before hanging up and slipping the phone into his back pocket. He adjusts the glasses that sit on his face before walking towards the group, who have gathered close to one another. The two gangs are having a conversation and as Hyunjin approaches he can feel the tension. "Who the hell do you think you are?" One of the ladies from the gang shouts. The lady has on a black, leather jacket and skinny jeans, her red bangs peek out from underneath a baseball cap. Hyunjin bites his lower lip and shifts uncomfortably. "I am the best fighter in my gang," The scruffy dude from before states, "So, you should watch who you're talking to, little lady."

"Uh...can we just get this deal going," Hyunjin says, trying to divert the conversation from where he knows it's heading.

"Who's the kid?" Another girl asks.

"One of ours, but he's right. We're here to do business," The scruffy dude says, "Give us the money."

"Ha, you think I'm giving you anything after you called me that!" The girl with bangs shrieks, "Girls, you know what to do." The others pull out guns instantly and point the, at the gang. Hyunjin's eyes bug out of his head and he takes a tentative step back. This isn't how the mission was supposed to go. It was supposed to be easy, not a showdown. "Hell, you think we're going to cower to you?" The scruffy guy scoffs, "Please, show them our pretty babies." The gang whips out weapons of their own. Hyunjin stiffens and reaches into his own pocket for his gun. He frowns when his hands close around the air. He curses under his breath, he was sure that he had packed the weapon. But, it wasn't there. So, here he is. Standing in between two gangs ready to attack one another with no gun to defend himself. He yelps and searches for cover as the guns start to go off. He starts to head towards the cars when he feels one of the ladies grabbing him around the neck. She presses her gun to his temple and grips him tight around the waist. She hooks her leg in between his own, keeping him from running. Hyunjin should be able to disarm her and take her down with no problem, except that she's holding a large knife in her other hand. If he tries to attack, the knife would definitely find itself jabbed into his gut. "Where do you think you're going?" The lady spats.

Hyunjin lets out a nervous laugh, "Uh, I really don't want to fight. Can't we just talk this out?"

"Hm...I think we're way past talking this out. I don't think you could fight even if you wanted," The lady says, "After all, you were running away." Hyunjin's eyes dart left and right, trying to find some way out of this. All of the men seem pretty busy though and haven't even noticed that the leaders' son is captured. Hyunjin struggles a little in the lady's grip and winces as her knife cuts at his shirt. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," The lady says. Hyunjin grimaces, there's no way out of this. "Come on," The lady says, starting to drag him away. She doesn't get very far before someone slams into the back of her head. The lady staggers back and Hyunjin uses this as an opportunity to get away. He smirks, thinking that he's free, before he feels something jab into him. He hisses as pain blossoms at his side. The lady glares at him before yanking the knife out. Hyunjin holds his hand to his wound and staggers back. The person who had attacked the lady before does so again, kicking the knife and gun away before slamming their elbow into the lady's face. Hyunjin grits his teeth as blood drips from his wound. "Shit, that wasn't supposed to happen," The person says, appearing by Hyunjin's side. The young boy looks at the person who saved him and frowns when he doesn't recognize the face. This isn't one of the gang's men. "Who are you?" Hyunjin asks.

"The person who saved you," The person says. Hyunjin's 'savior' as they called themselves is decked in all black. A hood covers their face and the only thing that stands out with the boy is the person's height, which isn't exceptionally tall, but not exactly short either. The person takes Hyunjin by the arm and drags him behind a dumpster. Hyunjin whines as his side lights up in pain. The person huffs, "Quit crying, princess."

"Who are you calling princess?" Hyunjin questions with narrowed eyes.

"You," The hooded figure says plainly as he bends down, "Sit." Hyunjin wrinkles his nose, but does as the person says. The person slowly removes Hyunjin's hand and sighs before reaching into his coat and pulling out a first aid kit. The person carefully lifts Hyunjin's shirt while the boy winces in pain. The person sighs before lowering the hood and revealing a young boy around his age. His hair is a nice shade of navy blue and his eyes are bright. Hyunjin stares at him for no reason and the boy looks back at him. "What?" The boy asks. Hyunjin looks away and the boy scoffs. The boy grabs gauze from the first aid kit and presses down hard on Hyunjin's wound. The young gangster hisses in pain, "Do you have to press so hard?!"

"Yes, now stop complaining. I'm doing you a favor by patching you up," The blue-haired boy states. Hyunjin pouts, but does his best to ignore the pain. He can still make out the shouts of his gang battling the other. Hyunjin sighs, this is going to be fun to explain to his parents. "You never told me who you are," Hyunjin says.

"It doesn't matter," The boy says.

"Of course it matters," Hyunjin states, "You said you saved me."

"Yeah, which I wasn't supposed to do," The boy says.

Hyunjin frowns, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing," The boy says before grabbing more gauze and laying it over Hyunjin's wound, "Freaking lady, cut deep. You're still bleeding."

"I'm Hyunjin," The young boy says suddenly.

The other looks at the injured boy and shakes his head, "You shouldn't give your name out to strangers, Hyunjin. How do you know you can trust me?"

"If you wanted me dead, you wouldn't have saved me from that lady," Hyunjin says.

The boy scoffs, "Don't think too much into it. I only saved a helpless princess. It would've looked bad on my conscience if I hadn't."

"Why do you keep calling me a princess?" Hyunjin questions.

"Cause I can," The boy answers. Hyunjin rolls his eyes, a tad bit annoyed with this boy and his non-answers. "For the record, I'm not helpless. I had that handled," Hyunjin states.

The boy snickers, "Yup, sure. Definitely looked that way to me."

"You didn't do much better. Look at what happened to me!" Hyunjin exclaims.

"That's all on you. You should've ran faster," The boy states, pressing harder.

Hyunjin winces and glares at the boy, "I didn't ask to be stabbed, you know!"

"Yeah, yeah, keep whining princess," The boy says, "You should be more thankful, I'm taking care of you."

"I don't need to be thankful to the bumbling fool that got me stabbed," Hyunjin says with a huff.

"Wow, aren't you a haughty thing," The boy exclaims, "I could've just left you to her. I could just leave you now!"

"Do it then!" Hyunjin shouts, "I don't need you!"

"You need me," The boy says, removing the gauze. He nods as he sees the blood flow has halted. He tosses the bloodied gauze into the trash before grabbing some new ones. He grabs ointment and squeezes it onto the gauze before applying it to Hyunjin's wound. The boy shifts in discomfort and the other gives him a death glare. Hyunjin rolls his eyes, but stops his movement. The blue-haired boy reaches into the first-aid kit and grabs tape. He uses it to attach the gauze. He nods as he finishes up. He closes the first-aid kit and gets to his feet. "I don't need you," Hyunjin says.

"You have a funny way of saying thank you," The boy replies, pulling his hood back up. He starts to walk away, leaving Hyunjin where he is. "Where are you going?" Hyunjin asks.

The boy stops for a second and turns to look at Hyunjin, "I thought you said you didn't need me." Hyunjin gapes at the boy. The boy smirks and bends down to look Hyunjin in the eye. "Go back home, princess," The boy says, "I'm sure your daddies are worried." Hyunjin frowns, confused as to how this boy knows so much about him. There's no way that he would just know that he has two fathers. That's not something people just know. "Who are you?" Hyunjin asks.

"No one," The boy answers.

Hyunjin huffs and rolls her eyes, "You're so annoying."

"As are you," The boy says before standing back up, "Take care of yourself, Hyunjin. I won't always be around to protect you." He smirks before pulling his hood up and walking away. Hyunjin's brow furrows, "Hey! I don't need you to protect me! Who the hell are you!?"

"A princess like you always needs a knight to save them," The boy calls out before walking away. Hyunjin stares at the spot where the boy just was before running his hand through his hair. He's never met someone that infuriating. Hyunjin has always thought of himself as someone that gets along with everyone, but for some reason this guy just pisses him off. He said all the right things, not letting Hyunjin get any satisfaction with anything he says. Hyunjin shakes his head, thinking back to the boy. If he ever saw him again, he swears he might punch the kid. Hyunjin sighs and slips his hand into his pocket for his phone. He calls his parents number and waits for them to pick up.

Have any idea who it is? I feel like it's fairly obvious, but let me know in the comments who you believe it is. Also, since I'm a major SKZ fan...if you couldn't tell...what did you all think of the comeback? I was blown away. The songs are so catchy. Tell me in the comments which song is your favorite.
