Hey One Question: What The Hell?

“I agree that you shouldn’t intervene with how things should go in our world.”

Sasaki had called you down to his office early the morning after Benjiro had fought the ice villain in the park. Initially, you were expecting to be in trouble, but the leader of the small group doesn’t seem to care about yesterdays events as he shuffles some papers in front of him. His eyes are scanning over the documents as he speaks, and you find yourself shuffling nervously in front of his desk as you wait for what he’s going to say next.

“That’s why I already sent your letter of recommendation to Principal Nezu.”

You find yourself nodding along, until your brain actually registers what he said, and then you’re freezing. “Wait what?! I can’t go to U.A! What if I mess something up?”

Sasaki gives you a moment to panic, brushing his long black hair over his shoulder and letting you get some of the fear out of your system before raising a hand to interrupt you. “That’s why I sent it for General Education. If you end up changing your mind and you want to enter the hero course, you’ll have your chance at the sports festival.”

A sigh of relief passes your lips, and you find yourself trying to figure out who would be in your class.

What, what if I’m in Shinso’s class? That’d be awesome!

“Do I need to take the test?”

“No. I’ve already submitted everything needed. You next month so make sure your Japanese is near-perfect by then. Daichi should be able to help you with that.” With that said, Sasaki holds out a folder, which likely contains the layout of the school so you won’t get lost.

“Thanks.” Knowing that the conversation is over from the way the older man turns to get back to some paperwork, you turn to head out of the room.

This is either going to be amazing or terrible

Kaito is an asshole. It’s common knowledge, but you had expected him to be a bit easier on you as it’s your first time actually doing math this advanced. His patience is obviously wearing thin, and you aren’t exactly good at math anyways. The boy’s teaching methods are easier to follow then your old math teacher, but you’re still struggling.

“I feel bad for your math teachers. Have you always been such a dumbass?” Kaito rolls his eyes as he watches you fail to answer the question once again. His blue eyes are amused as he swats away your hand that was going to punch his shoulder, and you huff.

“It’s not my fault your world is more advanced then mine!” Leaning back in your chair, you close your eyes while rubbing your temples to ward off the oncoming headache.

Leaning over, Kaito checks over your work before finally giving a sigh of relief. “You finally did it right. Now try this one.”

At some point while Kaito was giving you math lessons, Daichi ran into your room, visibly excited to tell you both something. But once he saw you and Kaito bickering over the proper way to say some English  word he didn’t recognize, he walked right back out and decided to wait until the two of you came out for dinner.

The rest of Kagari’s teaching flew by, and soon enough, you’re both leaving your apartment to walk down to Daichi’s apartment. The three of you, along with Benjiro and Ren often eat together. You assume it’s so that you can all have some time to talk about your days, especially if it was a busy one.

Dinner was grilled salmon with steamed rice and teriyaki sauce, a meal that you had grown to love while here, and the topic of tonight’s conversation seems to be U.A.

“I got into class 1 A.” Kaito’s words are spoken slowly, as if he’s still registering that fact, and you freeze.

1A? How is that possible? He was never in the show or the manga, so how could he be in the main class?

“That’s awesome! I heard that All Might is teaching some classes this year!” Daichi rolls with it, unaware of your visible shock, and his father also congratulates the red-head.

Your furrowed brow seems to catch Benjiro’s attention, as his gray eyes are locked on your face. “Is everything okay L/n?”

“What? Oh, yeah. Everything is fine.”

The rest of dinner goes by without a hitch, with Ren telling them how you got into Gen Ed and Kaito scoffing, saying that you should have gotten into the hero course.

__________

Labels are everywhere, and your brain hurts as you automatically try to translate everything. Daichi and Ren are with you this time, as Kaito is determined to spend as much time as possible at a quirk gym training with Benjiro. You had volunteered to tag along with the father-son duo for their shopping, as you had some things you wanted to buy as well for school.

Suzuki is scanning the shelves for a product that you’re not even sure this store sells at this point, and Daichi is over talking to someone he had recognized from school. At this point, you’re just standing awkwardly beside Suzuki, waiting for some sort of instruction.

“Hey, Y/n! Didn’t you say you needed earbuds?” Your name from Daichi’s mouth draws your attention away from his focused father, and you turn to face your friend. He’s waving you over to where he and his classmate are standing, and he holds up a plastic package that contains what you assume to be earbuds. His classmate looks vaguely curious as you approach, and you find yourself shying away from his sharp gaze.

His messy hair is a deep shade of violet, and his eyes are a soft red, almost pink. On his left ear are two silver-looped earrings, and on the right is a single silver stud earring. Two slits are cut into his right eyebrow, and as your eyes scan over his face, they catch a few freckles.

“Thanks Daichi.” You take the earbuds from him, pleased to see that they’re a neutral gray in color and seem to be inexpensive.

“Y/n, huh? You never told me you had a girlfriend, good on you man.”

Your face flushes red as does Daichi’s and you shake your head furiously as Daichi chokes on the gum he was chewing in surprise.
“Nah, you’ve got it wrong Haru. She’s just a friend. More like a little sister if anything!”

While you’re dying inside at the thought of being your friend’s significant other, Ren is snickering over by the bread, as he had overheard the conversation due to his quirk.

The adult finally comes over to save the two of you from your embarrassment, and you’re dragged away from Haru, who sends a playful smirk to Daichi before turning to find something in the store.

Three hours later, you’re just leaving the last store to meet up again after splitting to buy clothes. You find yourself distracted by the physical quirks of the people around you, and don’t realize that there’s a person in front of you until it’s too late, and you’re colliding with a squeak of surprise.

“Easy there kid, what’s the rush?” The woman easily grabs you by the arm and hauls you back up to your feet as you fall backwards, and you flush in embarrassment as you look up at her eyes to apologize.

“I’m so sor- Bakugo?” Your eyes widen comically as you recognize spiky blond hair and deep red eyes, and you must look scared because she squints at you.

“Do I know you? Oh wait, you must know Katsuki.”

You settle for slowly nodding your head, and you clear your throat nervously. “Yeah. Again, I’m sorry Mrs Bakugo. I’ll be more careful next time.” Your nerves are everywhere as you back away from the now slightly concerned mother, and you offer a quick wave before bolting towards the meeting spot.

Holy shit I just met Mitsuki oh my god she’s so pretty and so scary how does she do it?! I wonder if it runs in the family? Will the other characters look as good as she does? What am I thinking of course they will! Oh god how am I going to fit in with all of the hot people?

“You look like you’ve seen a ghost. Everything okay?” Daichi nudges your shoulder as the three of you walk out of the mall, and you shake your head as you adjust your grip on your two bags.

“S’fine I’m just questioning my existence."
