Hey guys! This is going to be part four of rewrite the stars! I'm having fun writing this and I hope you guys like reading this too! If you guys have any suggestions for me to write something please fill free to tell me! More Devnessa? Vollins? Colvan(BROSHIP NOT INCEST)? Maybe you wanna be made as a love interest of Collins or Devan! More of another idea? Something with romance? pain/comfort? tension? happiness? Just please lemme know! Anyways here's a recap from last time;

...Their heads began to move closer, very steadily. Vanessa's eyes never left his crystal blue ones, He really loves me. Devan's never left those dark chocolate ones, I love her. They moved closer, inches from one another. Nessa felt her pupils wander to Devan's mouth, ..And I love him. She leaned in closer, closing her eyelids. Devan saw this action, inches from her lips. He leaned closer to her and never stopped his movement. And then they—

"Hey you two!" Devan and Vanessa stopped dead in movement, their lips practically brushing one another. The two pulled out of their grasp quickly to see Collins and Veronica standing there, just now opening the door but secretly had seen everything. Their faces were a deep red, now avoiding to look at each other. Collins spoke innocently, "Are you guys making up?" Dev and Nessa glanced at the couple then beside them. The girl rubbed her arm, "Yeah, we're friends again." The other rubbed his neck, "Yep, just friends."

Silence overtook the air again, not a depressed silence but a more something-wanted-to-be-said-but-is-left-unsaid silence. Vanessa gave a nervous cackle, "Hey, is there food inside? I didn't eat lunch." Before anyone could respond, she pushed her way into the house, "You know what, I'll go look." She was gone. Veronica and Collins looked at Devan who blurted out, "I'm gonna go to the bathroom," he stopped and mentally slapped himself, "Why am I telling you this?" He went inside and disappeared down the hall.

Vollins glanced at each other in confusion. Collins began to grow a grin across his face, "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Veronica started to smirk, "Let's do it." With a peck on the lips, there minds began to wander how they could get their siblings to express there real feelings...

Okay! So here's this chapter! The setting is at the Key and Merrell houses and even the beach but thats spoiling things! I hope you enjoy!

Collins and Devan sat there on the couch days after the make up. The young key and Vanessa are now friends but things still presumed to be awkward between them. Veronica and Collins knew what it was; they both had feelings for each other. And since Harrison and Nessa aren't together anymore, the two had a shot! Now the tricky part is for them to confess their love for each other.

The older brother looked at the young boy as he skimmed the TV screen, finally rid of his bedroom, for a movie for they could watch. Devan suggested, pointing the remote and the TV mounted on the wall, "...so we could watch Jumanji, the Greatest Showman, Frozen 2–."

"No, bro! We've seen Frozen 2 like a bunch of times already," Collins argued, looking at the other options, "Let's do Greatest Showman." The brother agreed with him and he clicked on the film and they sat there and watched. The little bro shot up his head after five minutes and stood up, "I forgot popcorn!" Without any more thought, he walked to the kitchen and searched the cupboards. Collins sat there waiting for him as he heard beeps coming from the microwave, he began to smirk, "Hey, so Devan...how's you and Vanessa doing lately?"

The younger brother had his body turned away from Collins and was immediately glad because he felt the blush creep across his face. Why was he asking about this? Now? Devan played it off casually, "What are you talking about?" The older one spoke up, "Bro, be real. I know you like Nessa still and she likes you. You two almost legit kissed it was crazy!" The other turned around, noticeably a redder shade than before, "You saw that??" Collins felt himself grin, "Yep, me and Roni did."

"You guys are stalkers," Devan said, rolling his eyes playfully. His brother began to laugh and point a finger at him, "Ha! So you admit you two were gonna kiss!" That's when the younger boy sprung out at him, now sitting on top of him on the couch. They both laughed to the point where Devan fell off Collins and was now sprawled across the floor. After a few minutes of laughing, the older one asked again, "You guys were going to kiss?" Devan took a breath in, still laying on the carpet, "I don't know what we were doing.." Collins just smirked to himself, I'm so telling Roni later..

[At the Merrell house]

Veronica sat with her sister Vanessa outside their house in silence. Not just silence, but a peaceful silence, taking in all of their surroundings. Roni looked over at Nessa and saw her smiling as if she was thinking about something. She asked already knowing what it is, "Whatcha thinking about?" Her sister looked up with a shocked expression on her face, "Wha- huh? Was I blanking out again?" Roni crossed her arms knowingly, "You're thinking about Devan, aren't you?" Blush came into view on the other girl's face, "I can't help it...," she started to sigh, resting her chin into her hands, "He's just so kind, amazing.."

"Handsome." Vanessa burned up even more hearing the other utter that word, "..yes." Veronica giggled, "Why don't you two get together? I mean, you both like each other, what's the deal?" Nessa frowned looking away slightly, "I don't know..it might just be best that we stay friends. It might be strange if our relationship was different than before.." Roni watched her sister intently, I have to talk to Collins..

{Time Skip}

Collins and Veronica got together at the playground, discussing the dilemma with Vanessa and Devan. "She can't stop thinking about him, but she says it'd be weird if they were a couple," the girlfriend explained as the two sat on a park bench together. Collins nodded in thought, "Yeah, Devan isn't really expressive with this kind of stuff but I can tell he thinks about her too."

"What should we do?" The boyfriend continued to think until an idea came into mind, "Maybe..if they won't get together on their own, then someone might just have to persuade them to." Roni began to realize and smirked with excitement, "Let's do it!"

{Time Skip}

Vanessa hopped out of her car and walked hesitantly toward the boardwalk, looking around herself. Veronica said to meet up with her, Collins and Devan at this location for a special surprise. When she asked what the surprise was, Roni avoided the question, telling her to be there at 3 o clock sharp and bring her swimsuit. The boardwalk consisted with crowds of people and wasn't sure how she'd find her friends. Where were they, she thought to herself.

Nessa stood there a while longer and started to back up slowly until she smashed into someone. Unable to stop her movement, she tumbled backward and onto the wooded platform. Her skin made contact with the ground and she grunted with force, "Ouch!" Vanessa heard someone beside her groan as well and they said, "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry." It was a man but she didn't know who it was, squinting away the pain in her arm, "No, it's fine..I wasn't watching where I was going." Finally, the girl opened her eyes and felt herself gasp, "Devan?"

Devan looked up at the twin and felt himself grow confused, "Nessa?" He stood up quickly, holding out a hand to her, "Are you okay? I'm really sorry." She stared at his hand, hesitantly taking it, "I'm okay, honest. You didn't mean to." Shock waves rippled across their skin feeling the contact of each others' fingertips. Devan pulled her up quickly and stood there awkwardly, "Um, so where's Collins and Roni?" Nessa's eyes widened at his statement, "You mean..they aren't with you?"

"No..Collins told me to meet up with you guys here for some sort of surprise." The girl in front of him was in shock, "That's what Roni said to me!" Devan furrowed his eyebrows, "Are you saying we were just played by our siblings?" The other nodded, still trying to process it all. It was silent between them, trying to hide their blush and relish for the people who stood them up. Vanessa tilted her head in his direction and smiled, "But hey, let's not let this go to waste." The other looked up, "What do you mean?" A hand took Devan's which he realized was Nessa's. He watched her wondrous complexion and she spoke, "Wanna go to the beach?" Devan began to grin seeing this as a way to spend time with her, "I got my swim trunks."

Vanessa laughed, the laugh the boy just loved to hear and they raced towards the beach. The two took off their shoes and walked on the beach, not realizing they were still holding hands. Devan yelped as the sand burned his bare feet, "Ah!" Nessa started to feel the stinging on her toes, "Hurry!" They both headed to cooler sand in relief. The two began to set down their things and decided to sit on the sand for a little bit.

For a few minutes, Devan and Vanessa just talked about things they did that week, and some random things to just start a conversation. Nessa felt her wall with Dev collapse and wanted to just tell him everything that popped into her brain, "So did Collins pester you with questions about..us?" The young key felt himself stiffen, "..Yeah, he doesn't want to get that idea out of his head, for us to be together." The girl nodded in understanding, "Same with Roni, those two are on a mission."

"Haha yep." It was quiet except the bantering of other families around them and the ocean breaking against the sand. Why is it awkward again? I thought we were getting somewhere, Nessa thought, brushing her fingers through her hair. Devan just stared at her as she looked away from him, She's so beautiful...why can't I just tell her that? An idea popped into the young man's head. He grabbed some sand and pressed it on his crush's face. Vanessa closed her eyes suddenly and asked, "Devan! What are you doing??" Devan laughed and pulled out his phone, "You have sandy cheeks." Nessa didn't get it but began to smile seeing Dev's humor, "Wow, so original." He gave her a sly smile, "Pose for the camera." She did and the boy showed her the picture;

"Wow I look gorgeous," Vanessa joked with a giggle. Devan smiled at the picture accidentally saying, "Yeah you do." Nessa looked at him feeling her heart quicken, "What?" The boy stuttered, realizing his mistake, "Uh..what I mean is—I was just..um," he wiped his forehead with his wrist, "Is it hot out here or is it just me?" The twin looked up at the sun, "Well it is 80 degrees."

As Nessa brought her head down to face Devan, she felt her stomach churn. There was Devan, sitting next to her..with his shirt fully off only wearing his swim trunks. She gawked her jaw at him as she stared at him who didn't seem to notice. Wow, since when did Devan get muscles? Was he working out? I think it just got 10 degrees hotter out here—Stop it Nessa! You're practically drooling! The young boy saw her watching him, lost in thought and asked concerned, "Is everything okay?"

Vanessa shook out of her daze, turning a faint pink, "Huh? Oh yeah..I'm good." She started taking off her shirt and shorts, revealing her hot pink bikini with flower prints. Devan smiled at her, "Good, let's get in the water." Nessa shook her head at him, "Oh no way! The water looks freezing!"

"Come on, Nessa. You know you wanna.."

"No, Devan!"

He began to smirk, standing now, "Okay, if you won't go in the water, I'll get you in the water." Before Vanessa could process what he said, Devan grabbed the girl and picked her up bridal style, walking towards the water. Squealing and squirming, the merrell twin tried kicking out of the boy's grasp, "STOP DEVAN!! DON'T DO THIS YOU'LL REGRET IT!!" Devan stepped into the ocean and went deeper and deeper, bringing Nessa along with him. Soon, he let go of her as she plunged into the cold water. Her head popped up and she screamed, "DEVAN!!"

"What? Is it too cold for ya?" Devan felt himself laugh as he saw her shiver. Vanessa watched his smug grin turn upward, "Oh, you're gonna get it, Devan!" She splashed water at his face as he tried to swim away, "Hey! Watch the hair!" Too bad for Devan, Nessa got his hair soaking wet.

They continued having their water fight until Vanessa's teeth began to chatter. The two started to walk toward their things and Nessa began to dry her hair and body off. Devan stared at her and snorted. Confused, the girl raised an eyebrow, "Why are you laughing?" He answered, trying to hide his cackles, "You have a chunk of seaweed in your hair." The girl groaned, feeling around her head, "Of course I do..," she continued to look for it but had no luck, "Am I near it?"

"Here, I'll get it," Devan said, moving closer to her. He lifted his head towards her hair and pulled the green strand from her black locks. Vanessa sighed, slightly embarrassed, "I look ridiculous, don't I?" The boy glanced over at her eyes longingly, "No way," he had butterflies in his stomach, "you look beautiful, you always do." Nessa felt her breath leave her as he said those words. Did he really say that? She blushed, "Really?" Devan's nerves were all out of whack, trying to control them, "Of course.."

They stared at each other silently unsure what was to come next. The two came closer to each other, Devan stroking the hair from Nessa's face, keeping his hand on her cheek. Vanessa placed her hand on his chest, feeling his heartbeat increase in speed. She bet hers was moving rapidly as well. Devan started to lean towards her as she made the same movement. They soon pressed their lips into each other affectionately, full of passion. Right there, on that beach for everyone to see, Devan and Vanessa began to share a long, lingering kiss, one they awaited for a while. There eyes stayed closed and their thoughts swarmed. Was this actually happening??

Slowly, the two pulled away, opening their eyes. Their cheeks grew a deep red still very close to one another. Devan smirked a little, "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that.." Nessa giggled, still staring into his deep blue eyes, "I can only imagine.." Interlocking their fingers with one another, the two had another loving kiss, never wanting this moment to end.

{Time Skip}

Collins and Veronica sat at the couch of the Key household, feeling drowsy and tired. Roni rested her head in his shoulder, sleeping peacefully on him. But suddenly a creak of a door opening woke the two up as they saw Devan and Vanessa walking in. Collins and Roni shared a glance as the boyfriend spoke, "So..how did it go?" Nessa walked in crossing her arms at them, "You guys are so twisted, you know that?"

"But, you gotta admit, we got you," her sister said, feeling herself laugh. Devan smiled at them, "Well, your quirky planned worked.." Vollins didn't understand what they meant by that until they saw Nessa and Devan intertwine their fingers together and smile at each other. Veronica squealed and Collins gaped in amazement. Roni went to her sister and hugged her tightly, "Oh my gosh!! I'm so happy for you guys!!" Collins gave Devan a bro hug, "This is awesome, bro!" The younger one grinned looking at his new girlfriend, "I know..I guess we can rewrite the stars after all." Nessa smiled agreeingly and kissed his cheek as they all began to decide how they would celebrate the new couple.
