Hey guys! This is going to be a Vollins short story requested by nataliekeyper16 ! Sorry for the long wait for this one! Please show this girl some love because she's awesome!! Anyways I really hope you enjoy this one it was fun to make! Love you all!

Collins: 20 years old

Devan: 18 years old

Merrell Twins: 2o years old

Setting: Key and Merrell Household

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Devan laid in his bedroom reading off some comments he got on his latest artistic instagram post. It made him happy to see that the keypers really enjoyed his work. He skimmed around and began liking the fans comments and even responding to them. As he continued to stare at the screen, he saw a notification from Vanessa Merrell. Curious, he went over to the message and saw her type;

Nessa: Hey Dev! Roni and I really miss collabing with you guys! :) <3

Devan smiled at her text and started to respond back;

Devan: Hey Nessa! We do too, hopefully we can make some plans to do one soon! :)

When he was done with his comment, Nessa began to almost immediately respond back;

Nessa: Yay! Do you think the four of us could hang out Friday? We think it'd be nice to catch up on old times ;)

The young boy raised an eyebrow at the text. What was she planning here..? Devan went back and texted her saying;

Devan: I smell something fishy going on..

Devan: What's your plan?

Nessa: Pfft! What plan? I don't have a plan to get Collins and Roni together no wayyy...

Devan: Wow, good job with the sarcasm. I can feel it from over the phone XD

Nessa: Haha but seriously! Will you help me? I really think this would be great for both of them! Plus, they are my otp🤗💕

Devan couldn't help but grin at what she said. He's always had a feeling those two would get together and was rather surprised they hadn't yet. Maybe a little nudge wouldn't hurt, Devan thought. Another message was sent to him from Vanessa as he began to respond;

Nessa: So you in?

Devan: I'm in XD So let's hear the plan

{Time Skip}

Collins stood at the kitchen table practicing a magic trick he was trying to perfect. He fumbled with the cards, accidentally dropping a few on the floor. He huffed out some air, getting agitated that the illusion wasn't working in his favor. Come on, I can do this..one more try, he thought reassuringly to himself. As the boy bent over to pick up the cards, he felt another presence walk into the room. Collins knew it was his brother so he didn't bother to look up, "Hey bro."

"Hey," he heard Devan begin to say, "how's your magic trick coming along?" Collins sighed, standing fully up, tossing the fallen cards on the table, "It's..it's getting there." His brother just smiled at him encouragingly, "You'll get it, bro. You always do." Collins nodded along with him, "Thanks, Dev."

The older one began to operate the illusion when Devan started to speak, "Soo, how would you feel I told you that I have a Youtube Video idea..?" Still working on the trick, Collins responded to the question, "I'd be surprised because I'm usually coming up with the plans." The other retorted, "Hey hey, who's the one who makes the snacks afterwards?" The eldest rolled his eyes playfully, "You.."

"Yeah so don't start or I won't make pancakes for you anymore." Collins put his hands up defensively, "Whoa whoa, chill bro! We don't have to stoop that far." The two just laughed at their hilarious quarrels. They always fool around like this and to them it never gets old. The older brother relaxed, "Okay, so what was your idea?" Devan clasped his hands together, "Okay, how about..we do a collab with Vanessa and Veronica?"

Veronica.. Collins hadn't heard from her in two weeks. It didn't seem very long but he missed her. If only there was some way they could've hung out kore often. Now hearing her name once again made the young man blush nervously. The younger brother noticed and smirked, "What do ya think? Am I good or what?" Collins sheepishly grinned at him, "Yep..it's just that I haven't collabed with her in so long.."

"Her?" Collins pushed his brother in the arm, "You know what I mean!" Devan laughed, "Sorry sorry! I had to!" The magician crossed his arms slightly, taking his mind off his trick, "Who else put you up to this?" The younger one rubbed the back of his neck, "Nessa.."

Collins knowingly nodded, "I knew you weren't the brains of the operation." The other boy just rested his arms on the table, "The point still stands; you gotta make a move." The older one's heart began to quicken at the thought of opening up his feelings to Roni. Would she feel the same way? What if she doesn't? I would make a complete fool of myself! Collins bit his lip, "I-I don't know if I can.." Devan patted his back gently, "Bro, you are like the most confident, strongest person I know. If you can go on America's Got Talent and get 4 yeses, I know you can go to Roni and tell her how you feel." Collins didn't answer for a moment, can I? Avoiding Devan's helpful words, he just said, "So what's the collab idea?"

[Merrell Twin Household]

"You what?!" Veronica shouted as her sister spilled her devious plan. Vanessa waved her off, "Oh come on, sis. You know you wanted to do this with them." Roni shook her head in vanquish, "Yeah, but I thought we would discuss it before you tell Devan and Collins.." Her sister sighed tiredly, "You know you would've been totally against it."

"Well duh," Veronica massaged her head, "If we do a video with Collins, people are gonna blow up and comment "Vollins!!" or "Omg Collins and Roni so like each other" or "They should date"!" The two stared at each other for a few seconds before Nessa responded, "Roni, you like Collins, what's the problem?" The other flopped on her bed in sorrow, "Collins doesn't feel the same way I do, I know it. We're just friends and that's all we will be!" The twin asked trying to get comfortable in her position on the floor, "How do you know that he doesn't like you too?"

"I don't.."

"So why assume he doesn't—?" Roni cut her sister off, "Listen, I'll do the video..but get this straight. I care for Collins a lot, like a lot, and I don't want this Vollins shipping ruining my relationship with him. He's an amazing guy, I don't want him to not stay friend because of that." The girl stood up from her bed and began to walk out of the room. Vanessa smirked; she's gonna be in for a treat tomorrow..

{Time Skip}

Collins and Devan stood in the living room, setting up the cameras for the collab. The younger one propped the camera on it's stand, "You ready?" The other sucked up some air in his mouth, "As ready as I'll ever be.."

Ding Dong! Devan beamed, "That must be them!" Collins felt his heart rise but his stomach flip flopped. He can do this..it's just Roni and Nessa..Roni. The two made their way towards the door to greet their guests. Devan reached his hand out towards the doorknob and twisted it quickly. As the door opened, a pair of twins stood before them, looking as brilliant as ever. Vanessa waved at the brothers, "Hey Collins, hey Dev!" Devan smiled at her, "Hey Nessa." The boy and girl high fived and then turned towards their siblings. Collins and Veronica just stared at each other as if they were frozen in time, the only two people in that moment. They couldn't leave their gaze, hearts beating rapidly as one.

Devan and Vanessa watched the scene and couldn't help but giggle, causing the two to snap out of their moment. Collins and Roni blushed slightly and moved closer to each other to exchange a greeting. The blonde boy opened his arms for a hug while the girl held her hand up for a high five. Seeing this, the two nervously switched the motions at the same time; Collins holding his hand up and Veronica widening her arms. They both agreed finally on a simple handshake.

The other two just watched as the awkwardness festered like an infection. Nessa whispered into Devan's ear, "Do something!" The short one gave a lopsided grin and said, "We got pizza in the kitchen if anyone's—."

"I'm hungry!" The awkward two exclaimed in unison. Without hesitation, they both walked over to the lingering smell of fresh food, leaving Devan and Vanessa stand there. Nessa whispered, "That could've been worse.." Dev reassured her, watching as the other two serve up some of the hot pie, "Don't worry, I have a feeling it will get better from here."

It had been fifteen minutes and the group were now laughing, eating and talking amongst one another about what they've done that week. Vanessa ceased the chatter and spoke to the three, "I think we should start the video now!" Devan saw she wanted to get their plan up and running so he stood too, "Okay, I'll put away the pizza." Collins glanced at Veronica then back at the other two, "Sure let's get started."

"Uh huh," was all Roni uttered from her mouth. She was very nervous for this. Her eyes followed Collins as he went to adjust a few chairs. Why was he so handsome? I want you to be mine but..what if we aren't the right match?

The pairs of siblings walked over to the set and Collins and Devan sat down in the middle chairs. Collins asked, "Roni, could you hit the record button?" Veronica didn't hear him but just stared in his direction, oblivious to what was happening. He noticed and repeated, "Roni?" Finally the girl jumped and asked, "Sorry what?" The young man stated again, "Could you hit the record button please?"

"Oh, sure." So she did and Collins started doing his little into. Veronica wasn't paying much attention to it, only really watching Collins eyes continuously bounce off hers. Why is he looking at me so much? It's not because he likes me, right? He only sees me as a friend, she thought sadly but keeping a straight face.

"...but this time we are joined by two beautiful girls; Veronica and Vanessa Merrell!" That was the twins cue to come into the shot and they all acted happy to see each other as if they didn't before. Nessa quickly sat on the end next to Devan, forcing Roni to sit close to Collins on the other side of the table. The magician felt himself begin to burn up but tried to play it off, "Okay, so I am gonna let Devan take the mic here and tell us what we will be doing today." The younger key smiled and looked at the camera, "Well we are going to be in teams to complete three different challenges. One will be a Guess The Condiment Challenge, the second is a Not My Arms Challenge, and the last one will be a speed round of locating answers and unscrambling them to form a sentence. Got it?"

They all nodded and Nessa started to speak, "Okay so the teams should be Devan and I and then Collins and Roni," then she added quickly, "since we are sitting by each other." Veronica knew her sister's little game but went along, "Yeah that makes sense," the girl turned her attention to the tall boy, "What should our team name be?" Collins thought for a moment, "How about the Krazy Koala's with a K!" Roni started to giggle making the other laugh as well, "What? Whatever, let's use it." Vanessa glanced at them, "Cute name but we're going to be the Hangry Hyenas!" Vollins began to laugh harder. The sister asked her question with a snort, "Hangry?" Devan fired back at her, "At least it's a real word unlike Krazy." Collins shoved his brother playfully, "Don't judge our team name and let's get started with this Competition!"

So the two teams began to start the first round of the games; Name the Condiments. It was a lot harder than the teams thought as they shoveled through and fed it to one another with blindfolds on. The last test came around and the two sisters were the final competitors. The boys held their spoons ready to end the tie breaker. Collins began to speak, "Okay guys, this is the final round of the game. 3, 2, 1 go!" Him and Devan fed the white pasty content into the girls mouths causing them to both gag.

"Eww! What is this?" Nessa yelled, freaking out in her chair. Devan was getting excited, "Come on, guess what it is!" Collins watched Roni taste the condiment and see her face twist at the gooey taste, "You can do this! It's really easy if you don't really think about it." Veronica swirled the contents around her tongue unsoundly and said with a stutter, "Is it..is it mayonnaise?" The blonde dude stood up from his chair and shouted in victory. The Hangry Hyenas frowned in their defeat as Vanessa pulled off her blindfold, spitting out the contents from her mouth into the trash can next to her, "That was nasty!" Devan proclaimed with a slight smile, "The Krazy Koalas won this round." With her eyes still covered, Veronica grinned, "We won!" Collins held his hand up to her, "Roni, high five!"

Obediently, she swung her hand and missed his hand entirely, slapping him square in the face. Devan and Vanessa laughed at the sight as Roni took off her blindfold to see Collins rubbing his nose. Veronica gasped while covering her shocked expression, "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, Collins!" Nice going Roni! You just made a total fool of yourself! The older key just smiled at her warmly, "No no, it's okay. The Koalas are strong! Let's get into the next challenge."

The four started to clean up the table, assuming they'd cut this scene out. Devan and Collins went and grabbed plates and silverware as the Merrell twins retrieved the jelly and peanut butter. Once everything was set up, they all began to sit in their same spots. "Okay guys, for this next challenge we will be doing the Not My Arms," Collins voiced to the camera in front of them. Devan also came in and explained the objects on the table, "So in this challenge, Collins and I will be blindfolded behind Roni and Nessa and be their hands. They will have their arms back and instruct us to create the perfect PB&J. Whoever finishes first and gets their partner to eat it all wins." Veronica thought this would be pretty easy and said with full confidence, "Piece of cake." Vanessa announced enthusiastically, "Let's do this!"

So the teams got into position, Collins and Devan getting blindfolded and standing behind the girls. The blonde haired boy wrapped his arms around Roni's body, giving them both a tingling sensation. Collins spoke to the camera, "Ready, let's begin!" Veronica felt her partner's voice vibrating her ear, tickling her heart. She sat there taking it in, not realizing the other two had already begun. Collins asked cautiously, "What do I do, Roni?" The girl shook out her thoughts once again, "Oh—sorry! Reach out your right hand as far as you can." Feeling nervous, the boy leaned his chest into her back, stretching forward.

"Am I near it?"

"No, keep going." He leaned closer, "Now?" Roni winced, her breath getting tighter, "Almost.." Finally he reached the container of peanut butter he was instructed to grab, his skin hitting her soft cheek. Veronica's mind went wild and she frazzled out her words, "Okay..n-now unscrew the lid." He did, his arms closing around her sides in the process. Collins felt his face reddening and he was so thankful to be standing in Roni's blind spot.

They managed to get the peanut butter and jam all spread on the pieces of bread, but Vanessa was finishing biting into the sandwich. With a mouthful of bread, Nessa pumped her fist in the air, "That's ah point por da hyenas!!" Devan laughed and exchanged a handshake with her, "So now this will be the ultimate test! Hangry Hyenas or Krazy Koalas? You two ready to get creamed?"

Collins was now with his blindfold off, still up on his feet. He didn't speak for a moment. He was really nervous...but he felt himself ease his tension, seeing Devan's eyes speak volumes to him. Breathe Collins... He did so and smirked, "Oh, we're ready..to take you down!" Roni felt herself giggle at them, "What do we have to do?" Devan began to explain in detail, "Pretty much both teams with be given a sheet that has a list of clues to spell out a phrase. There are different phrases for each group so we will be timed instead of racing against each other. Whoever figures it out in the less of time wins." Nessa smiled happily, grabbing the sheets of paper on the table, "Sounds easy enough." The young key turned his body to the Krazy Koalas and asked, "You want to go first or us?" Veronica answered for the two, "We can. It gives us a chance to show you what we're made of." Vanessa couldn't help but chuckle, "Good luck!"

So Collins and Roni were given the sheet to clues and the timer started. Collins said quickly, "You find the answers, I'll unscramble!" His partner replied with a smile, "Ooh good strategy." The girl fumbled with her pen and began to answer the questions;

Veronica's expression looked as puzzled as the paper in front of her. What was this? She spoke with confusion, "This..makes no sense." Collins took the sheet from her and said, "Let me unscramble it." Suddenly, the boy started to fold the paper in front of her eyes into tiny squares. What was he doing.., Roni asked herself watching him hold the tiny sliver in his hand. The magician pressed his palms into the sheet and blew some air into his fingertips. It was silent as everyone stared at what he was creating. Collins's eyes came into contact with Veronica's, never leaving her gaze. He opened up his hands and went about unfolding the piece of paper back to it's original state. The boy smirked and held up the paper and now all of the questions and answers were in order from top to bottom. Roni was amazed at this illusion but more so what the unknown message said. Collins spoke to her this, "Veronica Merrell, Will You Go Out Width Me?"

The girl whom the inquiry was directed to gasped. Did he..just ask her out? Him?? Collins Key?? Veronica was speechless as she watched  his face grow a bright crimson. He took her hands staring into her dark eyes, "I've wanted to ask you for such a long time..but never had the guts to. But now, I really feel like you are my perfect match and I didn't just want to spend time with you when we do collabs." Her voice came out with a stutter, her mouth forming a wide grin, jokingly saying as well, "Yes..yes of course I'll go out width you!" The two gave each other a tight embrace.

"Well well well," the sound of Vanessa's came from behind them, causing the two to pull away, "I guess team Vollins won this game today." Roni giggled at the others, "Did you all set this up?" Devan pointed to the girl beside him, "It was all your twin.." Nessa shrugged unaffected by it, "Guilty as charged!" The Merrell Twins went over and hugged her, "I love you sis!" Collins grinned as Roni came back towards him and interlocked her hand in his. The young key brother looked at his friends, "So..should we end the video?" They all agreed, recollecting themselves.

{After The Video}

For more than an hour, the group chilled out in the living room, talking about their recent video and all the kind comments they've been getting from fans. Devan and Vanessa sat on one couch while Veronica and Collins snuggled with one another, the girl's head on the boy's shoulder. They didn't want this moment to end; until the girls' father called them. "We have to go home," Nessa said sadly to the key bros. Roni pulled away from her new boyfriend, "Awe, but I don't wanna go.." Collins just smiled at her with a wink, "Wanna have a date tomorrow night, babe?" The twin giggled a little with a smile, "I'd love too, babe."

"Well that's gonna get old fast," Devan commented playfully, receiving a show from Vanessa. Veronica turned her head and leaned her lips into his lovingly, "See you tomorrow then." Collins gave her a thumbs up, smiling uncontrollably, "Okay!" They all said their goodbyes and the twins left the house in silence. Veronica still couldn't believe it. Her and Collins were together now. They were a perfect match.

Welp. I FINISHED IT!! I really REALLY hoped you guys enjoyed that!!! To be honest, I felt like I had a lot of trouble getting everything together for this short.. I just wasn't impulsive to write this and I feel like its rushed because of it. I dont want to let you guys down and I feel like I am.. I really hope I'm not. Im serious when I say I AM REALLY DOUBTING MYSELF.😰😰😰😰😰😰😰
